I think the superadmins have rescued all the missing posts Memories started coming back to me so I managed to do Pelagic fairly speedily straight away. I'm lucky if I get to play this even one a day at the moment :'( Still think the game hasn't aged THAT badly! I keep pressing in the thumbstick to 'sprint', and half-expect a meleé attack with every weapon...

I can. TASK WIN!

I'm really struggling to love this show as much as I do BoB... PERHAPS it's just because some scenes are ridicudark and I have no idea what's going on. The first episode reminded me of the film screening in Inglorious Basterds, and for some reason I was thinking about the book King Rat for most of this one. I have no doubt I'll be watching this every week though. It's certainly not bad tv and is very gripping!

Damn my lovely long post went missing in the limbo! I have trouble remembering a lot of the missions, especially on perfect agent where I obv. didn't spent a great deal of time playing the game. I tend to sit and read the objectives and try and remember... but I've arrived at the point of teh game taht I remember frequently getting confused as the levels get bigger - the air force one crash site, the... pelagus? boat level, etc. Might not be able to 'speed run' through these as I have previously. Once I'm done with the game I'll be going back and thrashing all your times :P There are a few things that annoy me - where do you see the cheat list in the game? How can you find out the target times, etc? why can't you access solo missions from any computer in the CI!! What are these crowns? I've forgotten where all the cheese is! Why can't I do the simulation duel things? Do I have to finish the training challenges in the room? That's all for now. Damn my lovely long post went missing in the limbo! Trying to grow your hair doesn't count! It's like me saying I'm trying to get older.

Looks like the forum's reboot has deleted my entire shit day yesterday! Today I've been campaigning to get my housemate elected for a full-time paid job at the student union. We've got 4 of us wearing t-shirts I DESIGNED walking around, 50 of the posters I DESIGNED all over the place and a couple of awesome signs WHICH I DREWKINDA which have been called 'scary'. I also popped over to the job centre to Sort Shit Out. They gave me a phone number, the phone number said "ha, no. You can't have any money" so I went to the finance office to get an envelope to send off the latest form, and I FOUND OUT that I CAN APPLY FOR FULL TIME STUDENT FINDING! I was initially told, back in august, I'd have to finance myself, then I was told I could get a part-time grant to cover fees but I'd have to work to live... NOW I've been told that I can apply for the maintenance loan of £2000+ as well as the bursary. These things mean that my bills will be covered, my rent in arrears as well as the rent 'til the end of the contract. AND the sum means I'll be able to clear a chunk of my overdraft as well. This is such a contrast to my yesterday, which 'ended' at about 5am passing out after an allergic reaction, afraid of falling asleep in case my throat closed and I'd never wake up. Not even home yet - still at uni with Doug campaigning - I had teh genius idea of dropping in on the society meetings tonight, as his role is to do with them, so we've done DRAMA and now we're doing LGBT. Waddanight. When I get home it's reheating the beef pasta bake which may/may not have been the source of my reaction. I guess i'll find out!

I don't do anything at all, which is why I hate myself.

People complained when I went about 'thread-ripping' in an attempt to encourage a more diverse forum! A nice "oooh the forum isn't like it was back in the day" post, Charlie, but what Ashley says is pretty much true. There are separate threads for TV shows and films to the Biggos, and there's nothing stopping you from making a whole new thread. Mods use their judgement to decide whether a thread is stand-alone worthy, and you of all people should know and respect that.

Before I read this post I beat your time :P Pretty sure I can do it in under a minute too if I don't try for teh marquis cheat. Played a few online games -- first game was on teh sewers map which sucked for ages until I took control of the shield position at the top, then I dominated massively. Each game afterwards I kicked repeated ass -- mostly because I knew the maps and the others, clearly, did not. They don't seem to notice the radar either - fewls! Did all the target range that I can for now and did the first 13-ish bot challenge things until I got annoyed at how BROKEN and UNFAIR it can be -- essentially a race to the best weapon on teh map then an effort to cowl in the corner until the timer passes. I did all 30 of the challenges with three extra controllers plugged in back in teh day, so I'll do them eventually. Actually taking teh solo game really slow... I think I've only done the first two or three levels on agent so far. Keep trying to do a speed run on perfect agent on teh first level only to get shot down RIGHT AT THE ELEVATOR DOORS ffs... Aiming to do the level in 4:30 at least.

Had a brief go on the the other night - I just did the first three levels super quick (got fastest times out of everyone on my friends list :P) and haven't really done anything, let alone play off agent level. Will go have a bash now, I think!

Barratt is, IMO. Good fire rate, which is all that matters considering they all effectively 1-shot-kill. Glad to hear that, shorty! I'm ususally in the top 3 every game now, alas depending mostly on the map! I'm just trying to finish off the SCAR now (headshot mastery is all I need - 80ish to go!). What maps do you like?

He stopped setting tactics last year or something, didn't he? He got a job/girlfriend/life. 1-1 for me is alright, slipped into relegation, team played average/bad... My average form is struggling to all be over 15 which is annoying. Down to the last two games of the season and technically DuD, sitting in third place, could actually still be relegated. I'm playing Silverdale tuesday and Shorty friday, two of my relegation rivals. Going to be tense! EDIT: And I can't afford training >_<

Claire strolled back into the temple, got thrown in a pit, then the smoke monster came, kate got claire out of the pit and they went with locke. That occurred after Jin's leg got caught and Claire saved him. Maybe you missed an episode or two?

I also missed it Sorry Big-H, you know the love's here I'll text you tomorrow's results to make up for it!! -
Hurt Locker was a good film - If it doesn't explain itself then simply it's because it relies on a contextual understanding of what's going on from real-life media. I think the film was very intense, which always makes for good watching - and while each character felt like it was ripped straight from another movie (James Dean! Rebel without a cause!), it was enjoyable and worthy of the Ox-car. Precious -- I watched this one high, so the Lynch/arnofsky-esque escapist fantasies hit me with humour (and the red-carpet one near the beginning with great irony). Aside from that, and the general "this is the first hardore film for girls I've ever seen) feeling (I mean the portrayal of the men in the film - and white people for that matter... you could write books on the stuff). The editing was so clever too - I kept losing track of what was going on, in a way that felt intentional -- except there was just one scene which really threw me, which felt out of place even if it was a fantasy, which I can't work out -- the spellingbee bit? I think it was a fantasy because of the colour yellow but it was less obvious than other scenes... Inglorious Basterds! Finally gotten around to watching it -- well, I'm half-way at least. Got to about 3am and I had a long way to go - but I, too, feel like this is tarantino at his best again. Each 'chapter' does a trick or two. I guess the only complaint one could have is that you could see his over-awareness of it being a movie, while seemingly his trademark now, does rather seem to be just a celver way to hide his inability to flow from one act to another... I don't know. I like it as it is.

- Three. Sometimes words just hide between and behind each other. You have a feeling that you know needs expressing, and the only way to find the clearing at the end of the path is to start walking. The first step gives you the next word, the next gives you an idea. Thereafter you are encased in an avalanche that may not necessarily make any sense (or be spelt correctly) - but in any matter, it is the expression that is important, not the intention or the meaning. Memories of bathtime! Never getting the amount of bubble-bath correct. Trying to figure out the right combination of hot/cold. Making waves. Dripping tap that my toe fits into. Toy boats. The growing sensation that you're actually sitting in a bowl of your own filth. The whoosh as the water escapes, at last. And other, more personal things that deserve ostracising. My hands are tingling. You just want to know my pasta bake recipe, don't you?

Just finished the first ep. I was too distracted with comparing, role-for-role, characters with BoB. So far we have a clear Dude Who Will Get Promoted Loads and a few knuckleheads. The actual jungle flashbang war was too hard to follow - I'm sure that's the 'point' but still not great viewing. The build up of tension was done very loosely and obliquely, relying heavily on associated viewing and stereotypical action, and in general this episode was a lot less informative than BoB (at least initially) appeared to be. The father who is more concerned with his car than his son, the father who is more concerned with his son than his country, the enemy who shows signs of humanity, the guy who goes crazy at the first sign of combat... blah blah blah. I'm being harsh or something I don't know balbaldbfoadfbo I'm generally feeling mixed about this. I have no doubt that a large enough production budget practically guarentees awesomeness, but the unavoidable comparisons to BoB (which I love) means that I'm effectively going to scowl and hate this show's inability to match up. ... you realise he effectively said there isn't a HBO show that he doesn't like, so your post reads as if you're suggesting some tripe HBO stuff? Silly ashley. Plus 'than'? RUBBIIISHHH
