plenty of non-lethal weapons (including this ADS). Article made two years ago. The idea is that there are potential side-effects, but the target won't have to endure prolongued exposure because it'll hurt too much to just stand there. Also, Bizarre ran a feature on non-lethal weapons as a form of riot-control what must've been 3 or 4 years ago. Included was a weapon that was dubbed something like the 'gay ray' -- a chemical that triggered large feelings of brotherly love, or something. I'll dig around for the issue tomorrow/thursday.

Nolan; he was referring to the user called 'Jim'. Ampharoid; thanks for the post! That's the sort of insight that's needed, here. I think this thread has shown how diverse a reaction there's been to this whole shebang, and how difficult it is to quantify how much better/worse the forum is (after less than 48 hours?). I think the current 'thread madness' is just a short-term condition that the forum is going through during its weaning stage, and I highly doubt we'll keep up this 15ish-new-threads-a-day for all that much longer.

RE: Comic thread -- give the experiment some time, alright? Mistakes have/will be made, but they will be rectified once things simmer the fuck down and we see how broke we've made it, then we can provide various solutions. And before anyone says "if it ain't broke..." again; there's plenty of other areas of discussion that this experiment covers, and they're looking promising in their own ways. We need to stop being so meta about it all and just deal for the time being.

Godfather is another bookfilmeything. Was talking to my dad about The girl... series. Apparently the guy wrote the trilogy of books, sent them to a publisher before finishing his editing, had a heart attack and died, then the books are published and notes for another three books were found, with another 4 said to have been considered too. Anyway, not seen the film yet, but decided to get the audiobook for some weird reason.
