  1. we understand that people are finding it hard to go cold-turkey without the old threads. We understand that change is scary. We understand that (re-)adjusting to this format of forum is not easy at first. That's not a substantiated point, that's your opinion on what you feel the future might hold. We're saying (again and again) that this is not a permanent system, that we are weighing things up and ETC. Any old conversation that we would've 'missed' has been replaced by plenty of new conversation that we have HERE and NOW that wouldn't've been spurred into creation in the old system. What we want from the forum in this thread is not "aww bring it back, because of this reason or that". We want "hmm... have you thought about trying this thing?" -- some neutral, focused, insightful thinking rather than tantrums and sadfaces. While we may not have directly responded to all suggestions as far (ReZ, we heard ya, don't worry), we modders do read all the posts here, it just hurts our brains to have to read the same picket-line over and again.
  2. Correct Next one; this time it's UK-available chocolate stuff. All very easy for the brits -- sorry to other nationals, but this round should be over quickly. O H X D R C K T N A U M E S
  3. Your new Robyn thread is a perfect example of why the Music Thread is under experimentation. Anyone who cares about it will talk about it. Also! Because it wasn't one of a trillion videos on one page, I actually sat and listened to the songs you offered. Now that I know I do not like the music, I will Stay Away From Thread. So in a sense, your post, now a thread, will get more 'recognition' then it did when it was part of The Music Thread. In other words; deal. Unless anyone actually has any actual input or constructive comments, can we stop posting in here just to say "don't like it". Substantiate your point. Ta!
  4. My guess is that a police officer pushed a man walking away from him with his hands in his pockets for little gain and was not charged with anything. If it was teh other way around and someone pushed a police officer over who then died shortly afterwards, do you think he'd get away with it scot-free? It's just not justice.
  5. I didn't enjoy rome. Too busy for my liking. But one tip I have! If you're looking for authentic pizza then don't just enter the first place you see -- roam (lol) down the streets behind the main restaurant-filled streets and you'll find more traditional, real, homely restaurants with (slightly) better prices and pizza done the way it should be! Try and go on one of those red open-top sightseeing tour-buses. They're always good for getting a general overview of a city, and a handy way of noting the places you would like to have a closer look at. I wouldn't mind re-trying Rome at a less-busy time of the year... but I don't think there ever is one!
  6. Horrendous. I remember that clip of the incident and it gets me in the gut. The farce about the 'conflict of medical causes of death' is also ridiculous. Urgh.
  7. I'm effectively aiming to get to the park for around 12:30-1pm, but if I get up early then I'll be getting there as soon as I can! Stumbled into some lovely complimentary tickets to travel on the thameslink services FREE, so I have that winnage.
  8. I'm in! Not really too sure I've selected a very good lot at all. Is there a way I can see your team, Murr? Make sure you advertise this thread in the football one on the main boards too!
  9. lolawesome! Mean to pick on the lady, but awesome nonetheless
  10. Yes We used to do that premier league budweister one didn't we? I'm a little worse at fantasy football than I am at x11 (not really possible...) due to a severe lack of knowledge of football, but hey! Still can be fun.
  11. All I can think of are the recent few-dozen episodes, where typically I get drunk, walk into something, come home, play xbox... I used to have a bad habit of talking to strangers/homeless people. Just results in unnecessary singing. I have one epic night and several epic summers I may go into later. But I have a self-esteem complex so I don't think they're any good.
  12. I've only read the first volume, but I'm willing/eager to grab the subsequent ones. What sort of price am I looking at forking out/is acceptible? I know a few different comic shops in brighton... Ok so I know one comic shop (Dave's Comics) and alternatively there's HMV...
  13. James is my name. Alcohol is my game. Yeah, that's it. Slinging back cider is my joy, Everyday I act like a boy. Very hairy, Even sometimes scary. Newly moved back to Brighton, Isn't giving me a hard-on. Sex with the ex is best, Better than all the rest. Even though she broke my heart, T'is better than being in the company of my fart. Those tits of hers fill me with joy, Even though they're so small she looks like a boy. Right now I work in retail, Though it makes me feel like fail. However I'd like to write, Although the time never seems right. Nevermind eh? At least I get pay. Still, I'd rather be drinking, Home alone while deeply thinking. Let's not complain, Everything is better than being in Spain. Yeeaaaah!
  14. No, he'd not got the whole studio name, just what the I and P stand for in that P picture
  15. I loved how the first one died so suddenly, but the second one (who in our co-op campaign was assigned "the dude who will heal you if you fall over", and was routinely awarded with a "thanks carmine!" shouted at the TV) lived and lived until you forgot all about the first one... so his death was a proper "wtf... awww man!" In the third one there should be a close-call with death that he survives, then he disappears from the game for a while, then comes back so we're all "aah, he's gonna dieee!" then he survives! ... 'til the end of the end credits where there'd be a scene of him getting mauled.
  16. Finally managed to get my TAR silencer unlocked, so things are a little more back to normality for me! I'm going with the blast shield (wtf!) this prestige... not got the timing for it down at all. Also using a rapid-fire handgun as secondary (I forget which one, only set it last night), with slight-of-hand, stopping power (mainly for the mid-to-long range shots where accuracy goes right down, but really I should just get round to making a new class for the larger maps) and steady-aim (going to try and finish it this prestige, too). It's a really hap-hazard class, not refined at all. I run out of ammo for it all the time, then I just pick up whatever I can find and just hope for the best! Yeah there's a lot of 'checkpoint hunting', iirc. I may just give the campaign another shot actually... although I never did finish my tv hunt/vet run-through of MW1. Another game I need to buy!
  17. (I think the suicide comment may be out of context -- it could be that the MSN person was impressed with R_A's willpower and strength through adversity, and that the MSN person does not believe they would be able to endure what R_A has. I don't think they were saying "Hey, like, go kill yourself". Or maybe they were. It wasn't me. Seriously, I'm just playing the DA) (Oh, and I'm a confused angry right now, so it's not worth venting yet)
  18. Well done So... P is the only one to not be completely guessed correctly now! Once it is I'll string together a new, more complete aplhabet of a new genre.
  19. Favela is the only bit I'd say was 'broken' on campaign. Vet mode was a bit of a chore on that level, but comparative to MW1 the rest of the levels are fairly balanced.
  20. Yeah, I think King's got a finger in the pie with that one, but I'm not sure/bothered. You're really two-thirds of the way with the P. They're not strictly a production studio, as they mainly deal with distribution (as does the A, I think). Clearer Y and N. I'll expand these 'til people get them. The other two -- no way! That's your lot.
  21. Correct on those The C is one of the harder ones becase it's not as common as (most of) the others. And you will kick yourself if you don't get A or P. Maybe not too hard, but you definitely will.
  22. BISHING! Now that's a good idea...
  23. ReZ, none are chocolates :P A & P are actually ridiculously easy as both are over half of the entire logo anyway! T and Y are the next easiest N is just on an unusual background. Usually it's a blue background with lighter-blue lettering. R is seriously old-skool, and not a name most people have in recent memory. Anyone want any clues?
  24. Pooki; at least half of this thread has been carried on by something that is, I think, a different matter -- the apparant downfall of the nintendo-focused parts of the forum. I do not think that a revamp of gen chit-chat really affects what goes on in there, and unless you can give some more specific examples of what's so sucky about it, I/we can't help amend/revive it. Murr; yeah I saw that comment you made and made the response that I thought you'd've found alright -- the current state of affairs is not the be-all and end-all. We want you to give the new situation some time. somebody else; I think it's a case of "the forum is never broken, and never fixed". I don't see any true harm in switching the way the gen chit-chat is policed every now and then when, as is pointed out, what goes around may just was well come back around, too.
  25. Wooo nami posts! -- to shamefully beg for volunteer help, but still, a post! :P Sound slike you're doing pretty well - that's a pretty fantastic line-up of venues. You should totally hassle nightwolf about it more.
