  1. Not been to La Tasca in yeaaarrs. Can't afford restaurants in general, but there's a few great ones in brighton that are non-chain (Blind Lemon Alley is a well kept secret). Been to a couple Frankie and Benny's and the food was average. You get 'themed' chains like this, then you get chains like Pizza Express/Ask where the theme is usually subtler. I prefer those places. I think. My dad used to take me and my sister to a restaurant every weekend when we were growing up - proper restaurants. We'd have to fight him to take us somewhere like Pizzaland, and he flat-out refused McDonalds and that ilk. Ramble. I think me and friends, when meeting up, tend to skip the restaurant and go straight to a spoons and order food there. Even though it's proper shit.
  2. Oh, but be careful! I'm a bit of a bargain hunter, and now I have 50+ games that only cost me a couple hundred quid and I've got loads I never played or completed. Good luck with picking and choosing!
  3. Oh! Yeah and anyone who has an argument/discussion planned; make a thread. No more. HA!
  4. Just to expand on what Dannyboy said - we have a thread on suicide and a thread about Paul Daniel's wig right next to each other. We're cool.
  5. You may pass. Not with airborn rainbows, mind you.
  6. Every good thread needs a side-bar. In short; no. Practical items can be ergonomically and aesthetically pleasing. The former is your practicality, the latter is irrelevant to the object and is indeed more of an abstract that we mere mortals tag things with - but anything can be aesthetically cliché. your definition of cliché is soo cliché.
  7. HIGH MORALS. So let's see if you pass this test; What do you think about; - abortions - Euthanasia - Wikileaks - Drugs Go.
  8. Lol. That's one of the worst videos I've ever seen.
  9. How many seasons has it taken to get this far, Oddy? I feel like I'm a terminal mid-leaguer. Some, like Domster, cube, gaggle and rez don't seem to be able to sit still in any league for too long, then there are the young(er) guns like mcoy, madpool and ell who shot to the top league and refused to leave. I think Haden's pretty much the last of the old-schoolers to remain unrelegated, right?
  10. We had two (or three?) games... like, a year ago! Somebody should do it again! Not me.
  11. I see similarities in the morality of this whole thing to the right to bear arms in america. Gun crime exists because there are guns! This is a fact. Hacks exist because there are hacks! Hacks can bring joy and interesting things, but also bad things! Guns can bring... well ok, maybe I should've used drugs in this analogy. Anyway! Short term; hacks can ruin the online experience. Long term; ps4.
  12. I believe that life is a series of simple tasks that become exponentially more confusing and time-draining as you go on. I am always in pain. It could be my finger or my hip playing up, or a blister, or a stubbed toe or whatever, but 99% of the time there's always something 'wrong'. I also have gremlins. There is always something mechanical or technical that is broken. Currently, it is my iPod. But the real hurdles that inspired this thread are the ones that sporadically pop up when you want to do the smallest thing. My... job seeking assistant person found a job for me, and sent me an email with a link and said "reply with completed app form and CV!" and I was all "ace!" Then THE HURDLES ARRIVED! - app. form was .pdf and required a signature - No paper, so I go to buy some - Paper is fucking expensive now. £5 did not cover it, had to go home then go back to the shop - Printer is connected to dad's PC. His internet was not working. Took 5 mins to find out that the ethernet cable simply needed a 'wiggle'... - Forgot password on my gmail account so had to reset it before accessing my CV - Hit print to find that the colour ink has run out - Go to adobe's help page to find out how to cconvert to b&w print - The site lies - An hour wasted, I just give up. Currently waiting for dad to get back from work as he probably knows how to sort the printer. You ever get these instances? Should take 5 minutes, takes two hours instead?
  13. Paj; ok if I thrip into a "thoughts on suicide" thread? I know we've trodden that ground before but it was at least a year ago.
  14. Chair; the bond movies are part of the bloke stereotype. Girls, gadgets, guns, cars. All that's missing is football! You're not a bloke, therefore you are not the target audience, so you aren't meant to enjoy the movies.
  15. As do I! I just have to beat Eddage 3-0 and have you draw or less :P Don't rate my chances. Glad I won 1-0 over happenstance though! Fab result that ensures my survival. RE: dev. form. My keeper's played 16 matches and is only on 11. My 'star' midfielder has played 14 and is only on 11 -- and he's 23! It's been a butt-raping season dev-wise, everyon'e's hanging around 11 except one striker on 16. Not. Good.
  16. Generally I'm too busy racing through a show to bother going back over an ep. After TNG I have Neep Dace Spine (lol) and a discovery channel called The Colony, then ofc it's Voyager and Enterprise. In between all this I'll have all sorts of shows I've neglected for a coupla months to catch up with, too. Repeats I do watch tend to be scrubs/friends episodes, where there's no art to the proceedings just a light-hearted attempt to guess where in the series the ep is.
  17. I imploded under the pressure the cogs in the beuracratic job hunting machine (a lot) earlier today. Come across a few potential jobs in the NHS - an orderly, or a pharmacy dispenser, support worker, IV assistant (STABBING PEOPLE IN THE NAME OF BLOOD!), equipment library technician, health care assistant, operating room orderly. Each one I freak out a little about as there's such danger with mistakes in each - drugs, needles, children, sterility. (No, not ReZ's motto.) But the best one so far is in Sheffield, and if I apply I'd be guarenteed an interview thanks to the two-tick scheme, and that means the job centre would pay for the trainfare to get to sheffield, and ofc i'd then be able to see all my mates! Big scary decision is big and scary, but at least I've gone from feeling decomposed to now feeling a few shoots of hope are sprouting. The circle of the job-seeker's-life.
  18. RE: Dreaming up anything; I think it's supposed to be that you can dream up anything 'realistic,' and that it ties in with the idea that the 'NPC' guys begin to notice/rush you the more the 'reality's 4th wall' is broken. RE: Sound; I noticed that at the cinema. I remember that there was an entire scene of important dialogue that I was unable to hear (the 'sequel' to the opening sequence, if you get my meaning, was completely lost to me). I don't think much would be added for me on a 2nd viewing. Despite its premise, I don't think the film is especially layered for such purpose, and there is no real twist at the end that will make you view the film differently on a 2nd viewing. The deadwife thing is the only unconcrete element of the movie, in this regard, and really it's rather dismissable.
  19. There you go ReZ. If that's not the biggest condemnation of CR then I don't know what is
  20. TBF, your ReZ daily was superior.
  21. Not de best. Too long. Not as funny as previous schtooof. Glad to see you're doing them again though! Weird how you only seem to do them when you're employed. I think they'd benefit from more sketches being done outside of your bedroom/toilet, tbf. You used to go outdoors in the early days.
  22. I feel the love for Gin, but honestly it's one of the worst spirits to sip straight. White rum is there for you, bud.
  23. Today I made garlic mushrooms! YURM!
  24. Wow, that's excellent stuff Dazzy! Me and my girly are going to London mid-feb to see Vernon God Little at the Young Vic. I think she'd love to see Laminated (plus it'd be hilar to see the same show with two different girlies :P She's going to read this and thump me one, I'm sure...) but yeah, we may try and see if we can see both that and your show!
  25. Not feeling the folkish vibe at the moment, but I appreciate the quality of the song - 7/10 Cover of funz.
