See this is why I ask because some people say 'oh you need to spend £50 on books...' which sounds like overkill to me but buying a CD and a copy of the highway code sounds perfectly reasonable. Is there a place that I can buy these items from that won't rip me off or even better is there somewhere that'll give them away? Yes I've heard about this... apparently it actually makes the test easier though? I'm not sure how but this is just what I've been told...

Oh I agree, driving is fun and when I was originally learning it was great to just get out there and do something that in addition to being useful was actually enjoyable too, sure it has its down-sides too but then so does everything but that feeling of getting behind the wheel for the first time stays with you forever! So on a practical note I will need to retake my theory as... its been a while... and I assume I'm gonna need certain books both for that plus just general learning so does anyone know a) what books I'm likely to need and b) where I can get them for a reasonable price? If anyone has answers to these questions then it'd be greatly appreciated.

No... I just 'happened' to be caught in that awkward 'stance'

Ohhhh that'd explain it then. -

Uh-oh... sounds like it may be an import copy and if so then I don't think you can play DSi enhanced games from other regions on a UK DSi, if the game is Pal though then, Idk... that's just odd. -
Nintendo's 40MB limit on Wii-Ware = the size of an update for a 2GB limit XBLA title. Just to put things into perspective...

Tales of Pacman... surely?

It's nice to see you in such high spirits Wolfy.

People like me then? well... technically I don't live in the countryside but i do live in a village so... I would have preferred to keep cycling to work but after the accident I was in there isn't any way that I can continue to justify carrying on to cycle in because I no longer feel safe on the road anymore while riding, which is a great shame because part of me actually loved being able to cycle in and back. Of course I agree with you on the matter of costs though and I don't mind catching the bus so much - it gives me time to listen to more music - but over a year it can cost around £500+ in bus fares for me and that's after buying a reduced cost ticket in advance. So yes it will cost a fair amount for me to actually get started - a few grand maybe - but in the long run it will surely work out cheaper and be more convenient for me to just be able to go to places when I want.

N-Europe Driving School I thought it useful to have a thread for all of us would be motorists in the making and being that we already have a decent amount of already accomplished drivers on the forum perhaps we could all benefit from sharing our experiences - hopefully - resulting in a pooling of information that will in time become a useful resource to all who are interested in the subject. I'll go first... -------------- So a good few years back I actually learned to drive and to cut a long story short I failed twice and then didn't immediately persist with learning due to lack of funds at the time. Since then I've been mainly catching the bus into work until about two years ago when I started to cycle into work. All was fine until I was involved in a hit 'n run a few months back and while I've tried to get back on my new bike since, it's basically not the same with my confidence shattered and so I've decided to take the safer - plus probably more logical long-term - route of learning to drive. Personally I would be grateful of any helpful advice that people could give me with regards to learning to drive a manual car, obviously I need to retake my theory so things will have changed a little so advice there would be good and just any general tips about what books etc should be invested in. --------------------------------------------------------------- Like I said though, feel free to use this as a general driving thread, hopefully it may become a useful resource to all rather than just answers to the many questions I'm likely to have being the driving 'noob' that I am.

Evian was good because of the build up, it's quite easy to see where the joke's going but you don't know when it's gonna come up. Also, bounty was lol.

I actually didn't hate that episode... in fact I'd go as far to say that I actually, genuinely enjoyed it. Good work ReZ.

Damn... Seacrest Tour is challenging, it's the last racer event and I'm trying to get gold on it, I've done a few complete runs of it but never placed first and quite often when I'm in 1st my cars already at critical damage so I end up getting wrecked even in the Gumpert Apollo which is built like a tank lol. Fun times... :/

True... but I also think if that's the case then Steel Diver won't sell that well initially and will be sold off a few months down the line while Pilotwings will probably retain its retail-inflated price, so I'd rather get that in a 'deal' when I purchase the console on launch day.
-
Just as well seeing as it's the only first-party launch title I genuinely want. :p
-
Lololol It's almost like Super Meat Boy all over again! This better get released on the Wii too though because as much as it doesn't matter to me - I'll get it on XBLA - for Wii-only owners it'd be an unnecessary kick in the teeth.

Not really interested in the arguing within this thread but anyway I've signed.

Then... £398 Which seems wayyy to expensive for a handheld, regardless of what else it can do, surely to the casual market it will seem overpriced?
-
PS3 launch price £300 PSP2 launch price £298 Seems about right... :p
