Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Friend Codes and Meetups thread!
S.C.G replied to Rummy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I've registered you Stu. On my way now. -
I'm reviewing the game for the site, I haven't been told that I'm particularly embargoed or anything but I don't see the harm in confirming that the NFC option is definitely present in the European version of the software at this time of writing along with the passwords as well. In other news, the game is an absolute blast! I will try to keep you all updated as and when I can but I suspect that Serebii has blown the game wide open by now being that he has no doubt been relentlessly covering the Japanese version for his own excellent site.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Friend Codes and Meetups thread!

OK, so for anyone else wanting to join Iun and I on Animal Crossing for multiple player shenanigans, which shall be partaking in Noonvale on Sunday 11th August at precisely 11am. See you all then hopefully. -
Brilliant! It's good to know that the humour is still there, I started playing this late last night, I was really tired but once I actually got playing I kept going for a good hour and a half. I'm really liking this game a lot so far, everything just seems to 'click' so I'm very glad that we finally got this and even based on the first moments of this title I will welcome the sequel with open arms when it arrives. But for now I can see myself playing this through to the end quite easily.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Friend Codes and Meetups thread!

If we can find a day that's good for everyone then I'd be down with that tomorrow - Sunday - would be good for me, around 11am BST. What about everyone else? I'm bored of single player too, I haven't even really played the game in the past 3 days at least. :/ -
For some reason the 'full' artbook is only in the Milla Maxwell Collector's Edition. So who did everyone start with then? I think I'll probably go with Jude, only because people seem to think its better to start with him? I've gotta be honest though, I'm looking forward more to playing as Milla but they both look like decent characters.
-
Well when you put it like that... Thanks, I'll redeem the code right after my system updates. : peace: What difficulty did you start on btw? I'm thinking of going for normal, but I probably won't get around to playing it until later after work, will get the game installed though so it's ready, I have a feeling that I'm really going to enjoy this Tales of... game. My expectations of it so far are that it will probably be the same enjoyment level as Vesperia - which I enjoyed a lot - but probably not anywhere near Symphonia - which is still my favourite in the series - as I put quite a number of hours into that one.
-
Yes please Hero that's most kind of you, if you're genuinely sure you don't want it then I'll gladly accept the dlc code, thank you.
-
101 wonderful minutes long...
-
So I guess this means that anyone who wants a PS4 on launch day, should get their pre-orders in now to avoid disappointment, still a good move in the long-run but I'm glad I've got mine pre-ordered now.
-
Yes that's the one, just seems really odd that they would offer it as a pre-order bonus in quite a few places - I checked on Google and it seems Game Amazon and Namco were offering it - but not on ShopTo.
-
Regarding the pre-order dlc... was this only for people who ordered via the namco site? I ordered the Milla Maxwell edition from ShoTo, is there any way of me claiming a pre-order code from Namco? It's not a must but being that these things came as standard with Tales of Graces f it feels a bit off that they wouldn't just include it with this one.

Cannot... fracking... wait!

Now THIS is the kind of thing I like to hear! Unified account system? Yes please Nintendo, if you're merging the balances then you are halfway there! Next they'll be announcing GBA games for Wii U and it'll be something like... 'For those of you who are 3DS ambassadors and who already have Game Boy Advance games on your 3DS, you will now be able to link your account so you can download and play your GBA games on your Wii U also.' 'But this will not happen until June 2016 when it will be the fifteenth anniversary of the Game Boy Advance.' 'Please Understand!' In a nutshell. :p
-
Got it for around £50 once I'd used my remaining site credit on it.
-
Yes but even after all that, at the end it has arrows pointing 'NEW CONSOLE' and 'NEW CONTROLLER' so the average person would have to be pretty stupid not to know that it's a brand new machine... ... ah wait, we're talking about the general public here, I see your point. : peace: Seriously though, these adverts have got to sell at least a handful of systems surely? Otherwise this is getting rather ridiculous even if we have got effectively a major game each month coming out. As I've said before I'm not actually hugely bothered by this, I'll still get to enjoy all of these great games so I just find the situation amusing... it's funny because we can only help Nintendo so much but they don't seem to want to help themselves. They seem to be purely relying on people who already have the console to keep it afloat at this point.
-
The advert is bad... by our standards, lest we forget though that the majority of the general public barely has any standards so I suppose it will do! :p I'm sure it won't mean that Nintendo will sell any less Wii U consoles atm, because even the most die-hard fan-boy will tell you that right now, that's not possible. Everything is surely on the up from here! : peace:

Please Understand Direct - 7/8 (there is one hidden on the cover ;)

I just posted a few semi-ridiculous predictions... I don't really expect them to come true. :p Please Understand. -

'Wii U is now £179.99 with New Super Mario Brothers U' 'Please Understand' 'Ambassador Scheme, 10 free SNES games, 10 free GBA games including Mother 3 plus a Pikmin keyring' 'Please Understand' 'Super Mario 3D World delayed until 2014' 'Please Understand, Please Understand, Please Understand...' 'Reggie in Smash Bros' *insert ReggieShrug.jpg here* -
In a way yes, but in other places it still needs polish so there's still room for improvement. Definitely get rid of the dud characters though such as Danica Patrick... I mean really? Such a rubbish choice even if it did earn Sega a bit of cross-promotion, I don't think it was worth it. Also for the All-Star moves, they should have kept Sonic/Shadow going 'Super' as that was one of the best part for me in the original.
-
I think you're right to a point, if Nintendo had their Wii U games available in more shops - like supermarkets - then it would be beneficial for them to lower the price at least a little bit, lets say no Wii U game any more than £29.99... ... but as things are all we have in my local branch is less than three Wii U games mixed in with the Wii games :/ which just creates confusion so the prices vary wildly; NSMBU was around £45 when it was on the shelf whereas the other day we got one copy of Epic Mickey 2 for the Wii U in for a tenner - which I bought - but that's it, so as things are there really isn't much incentive for them to do anything with the prices even though they are losing out in some places. Nintendo needs to change a lot more than just game prices, but hopefully we will see that change in the coming months... or at least I really hope so. : peace: Either way I'll still keep buying my games online - currently the cheapest/best way - and will still buy most Nintendo games for full price, not Game & Wario though, that can now wait until it's less than £5. :p
-
It most certainly is not, I can guarantee this as you sold me your copy! Sonic & All-Stars *takes a breath* Racing Transformed might not be better than Mario Kart if we're all honest but it's most definitely a well made racing game that contains heaps of Sega nostalgia, the odd glitch and a fantastic online multiplayer mode that Nintendo would do well to look at for inspiration... ... so long as they make it better than that of course, which they will I'm sure. :p I can safely say that I would like another Sega Racing game, just not for another year or two.
-
'Oh Nasty!' My childhood summed up in two words. :p Gotta love Knightmare.
-
Nostalgia... it's a funny thing, I suddenly got the urge to play Ocarina of Time again for old times sake, so I loaded up OoT 3D and decided to start Master Quest for the first time... Surprisingly tough, yet refreshingly different. Also I decided to check from my original completed save file just how long ago it had been since I'd played it... was only exactly a year to the day! :p ----------------------------------------- As for Wind Waker HD... I genuinely can't wait to play it again, not just because I love replaying old Zelda games but because it's a remake that's entirely justified, the same as OoT 3D was; btw I still find it amazing that I can play one of the greatest games of all time on a portable machine AND in 3D. I fully expect to load up The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD on launch day for the game to feel fresh and amazing just like it always was, if not more so... it's surely going to be an experience to remember.

Amusingly though, you can get Call of Duty very cheaply on release in some places such as Tesco... very cheaply if you're 'clever' about it - even though I know there's nothing clever about COD really - but this is what I do most years... COD is £5 deposit, wait until it's a £5 off £40 voucher week, effectively £5 pre-order costs nothing On release date game is 'Only £25 when you buy a 2100 MS point card/£25 PSN' So the game goes down to £25, less the £5 deposit and (for me) 10% staff discount = COD for effectively £18! For most Nintendo games though, it's just a case of I'll buy them full price on release because unlike COD they are actually worth paying the full RRP, besides... Pikmin 3 was only around £30 on release which is pretty good.
