  1. I seem to recall Operation Winback being amazing at the time! Alas I don't have the game any more but the gameplay was certainly engaging, nothing quite like it at that time of release, it probably popularised the 'pop in, pop out' from behind a wall cover system, no 'knee-high walls' from what I can recall though, more like the system worked well with the environment rather than just basing the whole game around that one gimmick. Really worth playing. : peace:
  2. 1. They require tuning 2. Mostly, in most cases and most of the time They all seem to mean the same thing but as to which one is more fitting, I'd say it's context sensitive.
  3. Personally I think Xenoblade Chronicles X is going to amaze me more than the first game because as much as I enjoyed the fifty plus hours I spent on Xenoblade Chronicles I couldn't help but think that this was a game not allowed to reach its full potential. Monolith did a terrific job of working with what they were given but I can help but think that for how nice the game looked for its art direction, it was ultimately let down by the hardware which is why I was hoping that the first game might get a re-release in HD for the Wii U or at least an up-scaled digital Wii version; but instead we're getting the New 3DS version. But at least Xenoblade Chronicles X should turn out to be everything that the first game could have been and more in terms of graphical capability alone, the rest of the game seems to be shaping up really nicely as well which I'm pleased to see. It's just a shame that if anyone wants to play the first game, it always feels like a trade-off whichever version you end up choosing.
  4. Happy Birthday! I really like this magnificent mechanical grasshopper of yours. Hope you have an awesome day Ine! : peace:

    Destiny

Just when I'm trying to get back into the game and they are decreasing the efficiency of my favourite weapon? This doesn't bode well at all.
  6. It's funny... there is a sufficient gap between releases but personally I'm not too concerned as I already have quite the backlog on just the Wii U alone. Hyrule Warriors Characters to level, unlock, dlc to enjoy... I will go back to it. Captain Toad Played a few levels... I'm a bad person... I'll... I'll play it again when I get my Toad Amiibo. Super Smash Bros. I love Smash, it's just... laziness keeping me away. Despite all this I just know that the only time between now and April I'll be turning on my Wii U is for Wii Fit each day, Amiibo gifts, Metroid Prime Trilogy - just because :awesome: - and VC titles. The rest of the gap will be filled by Majora's Mask and Monster Hunter... ...utilising party chat on the PS4, giving me a reason to switch that on as well. I still love the Wii U though. : peace:
  7. That's true, my first thought would be... 'Oh! Think of all the Virtual Console games I could b...' Well at least all of our digital purchases should be instantly downloadable or transferable for the next generation of consoles right? R-right? Nintendo? As much as I love them sometimes you do have to seriously wonder about the future.
  8. In Soviet Russia... Captain Toad buys you! It's not a bad loophole for getting some cheap digital games I suppose. I won't be taking part in it but I'm glad to hear that it has paid off for you and others. : peace: Let's face it, many of the digital games on the eShop should be a lot cheaper.
  9. 'Fear can't kill you but... ...walking in on @Aneres11 after he's narrowly missed out on completing his 3 hour Resi run will!
  10. I wonder if this has anything to do with Sega now dealing in PC/mobile exclusive games at all? Perhaps it would have happened anyway but I get the feeling that it seems to close in timing to be coincidental.
  11. It shouldn't be the NA version as I downloaded a European save file from GameFAQ's with the friend vouchers on but 0% progress which seems to work? Unless the game has been altered in some way...
  12. I'm going to take a load of these hints on board when I start properly playing this game more instead of just existing on the title screen each day for a few moments to get my amiibo presents and then making it as far as the upgrade shop before turning the Wii U off. I do like the game, I'm just not that motivated to play it right now.
  13. I think Nintendo hoping for future Wii games to sell for 9 quid are just setting themselves up for disappointment... Punch Out!! is regularly selling as a physical copy for £7 on eBay so £17.99 would be grossly overpriced for a digital copy surely? Kirby's Adventure on the other hand seems to vary wildly with prices ranging from just over £20 right up to over £40 and while I could see it selling digitally for £17.99 if it was me then I'd be more inclined to put that kind of money towards a physical copy being that the improvements would be minimal at best I'd imagine. If they are all £8.99 for at least the first week then I barely have to think about it as that seems to be a reasonable price to pay for most decent Wii games so if they don't have the introductory offers for all Wii games then they are just going to be doing themselves out of the majority of their sales.
  14. Putting Kirby up for £8.99 would be a good move as I think it's becoming rarer now so it would surely sell well. But I'm sure Punch Out!! can be bought on disc for about £5 so it would need to be £8.99 to even sell despite it being a good game. I'd buy both for £8.99 just to be able to play them both easily - I don't even own Kirby - but not £17.99 for a digital copy. Also is it me or does the Wii U disc drive stay active when you're playing these? I think I'll need to take the disc out to reduce wear.
  15. I'm seeing this now just as I literally paid for my Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate pre-order... Nah, it's up to you though @Hero\-of\-Time as if you're just not feeling like playing games much then there's not much you can do, I know how it feels to be in a 'gaming rut' and I can find my own gaming habits to be very changeable indeed. Right now I have plenty of new games to play but aside from 'playing to review' with VC Weekly plus Afterburner II at the moment, I've just found myself wanting to only play Phantasy Star IV on my Retron 5 which I've been making some really good progress with and will post in here when I finish it. Obviously if you do choose to cancel your pre-order then your absence will definitely be felt, especially on launch day but I respect your decision either way my fellow hunter. : peace: Personally I can't wait for it, I have the week off including the launch weekend, I'm still reeling from Nintendo's decision to release both Monster Hunter and Majora's Mask on the same day but it will at least be a good excuse to get back into regular, portable gaming.
  16. From what I can recall, these games used the analogue triggers... Luigi's Mansion Metroid Prime Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Super Mario Sunshine Super Smash Bros. Melee Also several racing games such as Burnout 2 which had an excellent option to use the triggers for acceleration and braking much like most racing games do today. : peace: I'm still not sure why Nintendo thought it was batter to just do away with analogue triggers in the main Wii U controllers, part of me now thinks it was just a ploy to create more of a demand for the GC controller adapters... ...which definitely worked but now they can't keep up with the demand.
  17. I'm sorry to hear that. Had you worked for the company for a long time?
  18. But... it had a Gold cartridge on the N64 from day 1 so it's in keeping with the Zelda heritage. : peace: I get what you mean though, I always associate Zelda: Majora's Mask with Dark Green due to the box or even Purple but I still think the limited edition console looks nice.
  19. I think you'll be fine! : peace: You got your pre-order in early before they put the 'lightning strike of doom!' one per customer mark on them didn't you? Even if not, they will be classed as separate products so your order will still be safe.
  20. The Majora's Mask new 3DS XL is now back up for pre-order again now with more prominent signage reiterating that this bath will be shipped out for March 31st. Perhaps there were a load of people who pre-ordered really quickly earlier without checking the shipping date and then cancelled? Either way I'm keeping my pre-order as I don't mind waiting, I'll be upgrading to at least one new 3DS XL on launch day whatever happens but the Majora's Mask XL is the one I want to end up using for the foreseeable future. : peace:
  21. Most definitely! It's funny, I was checking the site daily then I hadn't checked it for today and I see @Cube post that it's back in stock in another thread - cheers for that Dean - : peace: so I got straight on it. Now I'm back to checking the site regularly again as you never know what else is going to go up on the site once they start changing things, we've already got the Super Mario set of amiibo's up there now as well. Would love to see some Majora's Mask amiibo's though, how awesome would that be?* *Though we all know that if that happened then they would all surely meet with a terrible fate of becoming Sold Out! very quickly.
  22. Annnnnnd its sold out again. *looks at @Agent Gibbs* Just how many did you order?!?
  23. I bet Toad sells out first. I've ordered two while there's no limit, one to open and one to possibly keep as I want to make sure I get a good one in case there are any dodgy paint jobs as I do like Toad. : peace: That seems fair I think? It's only two so Nintendo shouldn't have to amend the order since it was placed while there's no limit, I mean it's not like I bought ten or anything. Not even going for the full 'Super Mario Bros.' set either as I currently have a 'no doubles' on display policy, though I wonder how long that will last.
  24. It still is limited though, you can only get it from the Nintendo store for the retail price, plus they probably won't make many more beyond this second batch. I'm glad I was able to get a pre-order in on the second wave at least. : peace: Did you get your pre-order in on the first batch? I didn't so I'm glad for this second chance, I really don't see how this is a bad thing... it just seems to me that because the pre-order is still up there over an hour later, they actually made enough to hopefully supplement demand this time.
