I'm certainly buying this at launch, will I be playing on day 1? I hope so, but I have so many other games to finish including half of Xenoblade Chronicles... it could happen, I'd like to be able to say "I'm ready!" on launch day but only time will tell. : peace:

I can understand wanting the badges, I'm not about to judge anyone for paying real money for them, especially if it's a badge of a character you're a really big fan of; so it's all good. : peace: Metroid, Star Fox, Zelda Majora's Mask, F-Zero... all of those badges would almost push me to breaking point I'm sure. Then... if they start adding badges for consoles! NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Game Boy! ... I really need to stop giving Nintendo more ideas in how to seperate me from my money.
-
I was close to the temptation, for a split-second but then I thought... nah! It's only an 8-bit Mario badge... Wait until the Metroid badges get released though. If Sega ever released one of these pieces of software as well, I'm almost certain I wouldn't be able to resist spending money.
-
It's got to be an error... I mean it would have been a steal at HALF a gigabyte but two WHOLE ones?!? I'll take ten!
-
At that price I thought it wise to order one even though I already have one. Then if this doesn't happen... I could at least use the adapter with my PC, I'm sure it works with drivers, at that price it's probably cheaper than other adapters, plus, 4 ports... always useful.

Awful practice catcher today, most of the free practice plays turned out to be a waste, I got three dummy badges, too me up to ten, one real go, tried for the "stopped in his tracks" Mario badge as it was the last day for it, didn't even grab it as it hit the side first. Still... there's always tomorrow! : peace: Not a single play purchased to date.
-
In comparison to this? I'd recommend it ten times over. : peace: In general... I'd recommend it anyway.
-
I think Nintendo should add all of the stuff they took out or didn't make due to time constraints and add it as free dlc. Then when the NX comes out - assuming it's a home console - they should re-release it with everything plus new online setup etc. After that, another proper Mario Tennis title should be made, one which isn't rushed out this time. Or something along those lines.

Any pair of Stereo headphones with a 3.5mm jack. : peace:

Yes mine did. Quicker than I can say... Mega Yarn Yoshi Yields Yards of Wool!

Ah, watching that just brought me right back to the late-Eighties/early Nineties. Such a wave of nostalgia, still an amazing into by today's standards, in fact it's miles better than the majority of most kids TV shows today I'd have said.

See, I read this and it makes me think "why have I not played this already?" I love Advance Wars, when Batallion Wars first came out, that was supposed to be "Advance Wars but in 3D" I thought... it still turned out well but it didn't quite seem to be the case. If this is at all similar to AW then I have a feeling that I will enjoy it, obviously I'll wait for the PS4 release now, but if I happen to see a cheap PS3 copy of it in the meantime then I'd still likely pick it up.
-
That sucks do you want/need another PS2? If you're interested I can hook you up with one as I have one or two spare consoles around; PM me if so, just a thought anyway. : peace: On the subject of Valkyria Chronicles, I will surely pick this up for certain as I've seen the PS3 game many times, yet not purchased it and I can't work out why... probably because I already have many games to play but still, I'm definitely interested in playing it so this new release will surely be ideal.
-
Equally though, don't buy it, just buy the original Mario Tennis N64 VC game for £8.99 and save your cash plus any potential disappointment! : peace:
-
*sigh* Bought! What am I doing with my life? But it's a MEGA Yarn Yoshi! [/grown man]

5 seconds here, 10 seconds there... ot all adds up! I have a hard drive so I'm making the most of it, all packs day 1 for me. : peace:
-
I'm just going to copy this from the Wii U thread... Once you have your hard drive sorted, you'll never look back. : peace: I know it's an extra expense but once you have it, you'll likely be looking for ways to try and fill it up, who knows we might yet get Gamecube VC games. If there's any game to get a hard drive for, it's got to be this one I'd have thought, you've done very well to get by without needing one until now.

Undertale! I've been meaning to play this, I hear it mentioned then I think to myself "Hmm I really must play that" and then I keep forgetting, I'm going to buy it now while I remember. I won't get around to playing it right away, as I have loads of other games to play as well but at least then it will be in my Steam Library - along with around fifty-odd other games I haven't played yet but will do one day! - and £6.99 does seem rather resonable. Annnnd bought! One step closer to playing it now. : peace: I've finished maybe a handful of games this year, I don't tend to post about them, especially if they are for VC Weekly or a review, I should populate a list of those games I've actually completed. For now though, the last game I completed was Electronic Super Joy, there's no embargo on it seeing as it's already out but in any case I found it to be a most enjoyable platforming game, the review for it should be up on site tomorrow so look out for it.

That's awful Dcubed. I mean, we kind of knew it was coming what with the news regarding the game getting worse with each small bit of information coming to light, then the lack of content becoming all the more apparent but for anyone just buying the game and thinking "Oh boy! A new Mario Tennis game!" and then the realisation as the title is loaded up for the first time... "...the heck is this?" it must be a crushing experience. :/ At the very least I suppose the N64 VC version is there for damage limitation but it really shouldn't be the way, personally I would have preferred it to have been delayed until next year and to have just had more digital titles to fill the gap, it's like they've just sent the game out to die by releasing it unfinished and in November which is one of the busiest months for gaming. For what it's worth he could probably easily get his money back by selling the game on now but really... that would just be passing on the disc of disappointment to someone else, I don't know what else to suggest though. It's just a huge shame that the game release turned out this way.

Never played, always wanted to, can't wait! : peace:

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
S.C.G replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I went for Pokémon X as well while my brother bought Pokémon Y but at least they are still the same games - mostly - whichever version you buy, I think it's good to go for different versions if you live in the same household as it's fun to play along and compare progress in addition to the trading/battling as well; though this time with the VC re-releases of R/B/Y trading with my younger brother might be a bit difficult as he has recently moved out but... I suppose it just means that we can both catch the version exclusive Pokémon still and just trade when he comes back home to visit. Yes, I do indeed remember you from the stream, it was a lot of fun for me too watching you all play through all those Kirby games! Of course I did try to play along while Kirby 64 was being played but I had no chance in keeping up as it my first proper play of the game but it was still a lot of fun and it was nice that you all managed to raise a bit for charity as well. I still can't believe its been four months since Satoru Iwata's untimely passing though. I do think he'd have been glad to see the original Pokémon games released on the VC though, here's hoping we get Gold, Silver and Crystal as well to honour his programming skills. : peace: Well I'm glad that you got your account sorted - with Dcubed's help - as I'm sure you'll find N-Europe forums to be an excellent place, I'd love to play MH4U again at some point with you all, I remember our games to be really fun and I've been meaning to get back into it now that all the DLC is out, a link to the thread for the game is below... http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56961&page=19 It would be fun for the four of us to go hunting again one day, so give a shout in the thread when you're all together and want to hunt, I'm mostly off work for a few days so can join most evenings if I'm not already playing another game... (with so many games to play these days I don't know where I'll find the time to play through the original Pokémon games again, but I'm sure I will somehow) You're most welcome, there's no need to be worried as I'm sure you'll find the forum to be a welcoming place. We all have our disagreements now and then in some of the threads but then what forum doesn't? Plus things have been a lot better recently. (We also have a creative board with lots of threads if you ever feel like sharing any drawings) Anyway I think that's everything... I'm glad Dcubed convinced you to post and I hope that you'll enjoy your time here. -
One play for reaching ten dummy badges again, used it to try and nab me a Luigi badge, didn't even make it halfway... Oh well! Roll on 2am! : peace: 2am, Try again! 2am, Try again! 2am, Try again! *sigh* this piece of software is going to drive me mad eventually I can just see it...

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
S.C.G replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Family eh? What are they for except to help you catch all the Pokémon? It was always the same for me and my youngest brother, I'd have Blue so he'd have Red, I bought Gold on import and he went for Silver... we still do the same thing to this day although neither of us get to play the games as much as we'd like but we still buy them. Oh and hey there Hazel, welcome to the N-Europe forums! I remember you from 24 hours of Kirby - all three of you were fantastic - and as UFA from Monster Hunter, which reminds me I really need to get back into playing that soon. In any case I hope you enjoy your stay here as I'm sure you'll fit in well on N-Europe. : peace: -
I've got as far as buying them as I purchased them straight after the Direct seeing as we get a reasonable deal on them - £13.48 for both games until 19/11/15 as you get one of them for half price after purchashing the other one - but alas I have not tried them yet so all I can say so far is that if you've alreeady bought a DS game on the Wii U VC then you can expect them to look as good as whichever game you've tried most likely. They'll both be reviewed in VC Weekly 362 so... that'll probably be in two weeks time - possibly earlier - but in the meantime I'll try and fire them up soon if I get the chance. : peace: Are you considering getting them both for the offer or are you more interested in one of the games more than the other?
