GT Review - 7.3

Yeah, I bought a copy in the HMV sale for £4.99, with only mild interest in the game... but OMG was I in for a treat!!

It's a real shame because I guess it just hasn't aged well, it possibly would have made it into my Top 5 Dreamcast games (hmm... Sonic Adventure, Code Veronica, Shenmue 1/2, Powerstone...), yeah probably just outside, but definately up there. I'd have given it around 90% at the time! @ Aimless, yeah it was definately a great concept! I didn't give the sequel a go because I didn't have a PS2, but I think it got quite average reviews. A reboot could work!... but as quite an unknown franchise it would have pretty strong competition from 3rd person shooters/action adventures like Gears, Uncharted, Resi etc... nowadays.

I'd really like to go to Friday Practice, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna be in the country or not, so can't really book up, my cousin in the US is getting married! Yeah Mid Season testing used to get a fair few spectators, but the 'Hamilton effect' definetely upped the crowds from 2007 to 2008. But the good thing about it was you were allowed to just wonder around the grandstands, you always had a good view of the track and it didn't have that overwhelming feeling you get from a race weekend... or at least when I went to the Silverstone GP in 2008 and it was crazy busy! It was fantastic because you weren't kept well back from the fences, or at least you could push your luck and get some good photos, unlike on a race weekend where there's a steward every 20 meters! And then of course I payed extra for a Club Silverstone membership so I was allowed over the bridge into the paddock and pitlane, which on reflection, what with the testing ban, may have been a pretty once in a lifetime opportunity!...

It's such a shame there isn't mid season testing at Silverstone anymore! we could have all had an awesome meet up! Just looking at my photo's from testing 2008, and man this was an ugly car!!...

Yeah Trulli and Heikki is such an uninspiring team! Didn't realise you were such a big Alonso fan will'! Also, isn't this a great picture! Think that was my favourite time in F1, between 2003-2005, everything just seemed perfect! Shame Montoya didn't get on well at McLaren, F1's so short of characters these days, he'd have been a welcome addition on the grid!

haha what can I say!... I'm so transparent I do genuinely like Vettel though! Ah yeah I'd heard he didn't like even numbers or something, but if it means that much to him, that would have been one really nice psychological advantage for Rosberg to have kept!! Hows about you Goron, who you backing? Are you sticking by Ferrari largely, or Vettel, or Schumi... or just a neutral this season?

Yeah white wings (actually white in general) suck on the Ferrari! haha, , My supports gonna go to Vettel... he's one of the few drivers left with a personality, he says it like it is, talented of course, and... he's mates with Kimi! Also... Rosberg has already caved and agreed to give his No.3 to Schmacher!... what a tool!

haha, you've got to see the funny side of the numbing injections (from others people pov mind)... like you say Ine, when you go to drink water and you have no idea whether it's in your mouth or not, usually resulting in half of it spilling back out again!

Yeah it was a fantastic show of appreciation for the wonderful David Tennant!! And seeing all those finale clips again!!

Is that the new Europe subtitle? Or is that the US title?

Tracked down a trailer to remind myself of the game... ah memories!! Reminded me of the awesome theme music aswell!

haha, sshhh, I didn't want to give any of the game away, but yeah that's the bit! Remember the bug in the training levels on the 2nd playthrough (Headhunter v2/Hard Mode) that prevented me going any further, making it unfinishable... I thought I'd have a quick look on the internet and see if anyone else had the same problem and... It was so stupid!
