Still 'Retro_Link' and seeing as how i didn't explain the reasoning behind my name on the last forum.... Retro - because of the fantastic Retro Studios, and because it sounds good! Link - My favourite Nintendo character. Agreed!! Funhouse was AMAZING;- the Go-Kart race where they had to collect tokens on the way around, and went through the tunnel etc.. - the Bobsleigh in the actual funhouse that went down a long slope ahhhhhh, Melanie and Martina!

I agree! I said in my post that it would be great for games such as Jet Set Radio or Tony Hawks; you could enter first person mode, hold up the can, hold down 'A' to spray and move the controller around to create your picture/tag! I read someone elses idea somewhere of using the controller as a torch for games such as Doom, Resi etc.. I think this is a great idea; again, press 'A' to click your torch on and off and then move it around with the controller. I love these kind of ideas where the controller itself actually becomes an in game object in a way; spray can, torch, fishing rod etc... it's a whole new way to immerse yourself in the game (makes you much more a part of it somehow!).

Baten Kaitos Origins Official Thread
Retro_Link replied to Stocka's topic in General Gaming Discussion
This looks GREAT!! Think i'll have to get the first Baten Kaitos sometime and then this one when it comes out. -
This is one of my favourite GC games and Meta Ridley easily goes down as being one of my favourite EVER boss fights, it's just so sool!! Currently playing the sequel and whilst the storyline is better, i'm not a huge fan of the dark world, i can't wait to get those bits done when i get to them! I'll need to play through the original again sometime aswell, to get 100%; i got the second ending last time.

Your revolution game wishlist and why....?
Retro_Link replied to ultrajamie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It's more than on the cards; i'm sure Nintendo said at E3 (along with the first Rev details) that this game was already in the making! Pikmin 3 has also been mentioned as being underway, and of course Metroid Prime 3 and Smash Bros. -
Actually i think 'N5' was the consoles first code name, then Rev (which is why some people thought it would stay; as it was the consoles second name). Quite like the name Revolution (would always call it the Rev), but going back, N5 (like N64) would sound good.

Think my favourite is still the Black one; though if they go for a metallic silver (with the blue lighting), like the Panasonic 'Q' Gamecube, i think i'd go for that. Also have to wait and see if they come up with a LE gold triforce Rev (as someone designed on the old board).

Absolutely loved Shenmue I & II for the amazing storyline, characters, set-pieces, and non-stop action in Shenmue II (the fight on the roof of the skyscraper is AMAZING!) Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 are FANTASTIC, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, this was the first Resi game i owned and the graphics and storyline blew me away! but Powerstone (1) was an unexpected gem! It's easily one of the best games on the Dreamcast and so enjoyable in both single and multiplayer; i love the characters (especially how they all power up!), the weapons, the interactive scenary (how you can use objects as weapons or e.g. walls and pillars to run up/swing around) and destructive multi-layered, interactive levels. If you haven't experienced Powerstone the you should do so!

- creating Graffiti Tags In Jet Set Radio, Tony Hawks etc.. you could hold down the 'A' button to spray a stream of paint and then create the picture/image/tag, by moving the controller around in the air. - Conducting the Wind Baton in a Wind Waker Sequel - Controlling Sword movements etc...

Your revolution game wishlist and why....?
Retro_Link replied to ultrajamie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Doesn't stop it from being a great interactive addition to the next Zelda game! and i'm sure the idea would reach a wider audience than Sega Bass Fishing did! Metroid Prime 3 is bound to utilize the dual analogue stlye movement setup (as they used it in the MP2 demo); BRING IT ON!!! -

All great ideas you have there!! My wish list would include... - Zelda Revolution - -Having 360 degree movement over Links swords would be incredible; swinging it in full circles on any angle, being able to target attack specific part of enemies with extreme eaze and have the enemies react to their damage accordingly (like in Resi 4, only it would be easy and better!!). -CONDUCTING (hand controlling) the Wind Baton in a Wind Waker Sequel -Using the controller to cast/pull on a fishing line -Controlling a streamlined Zora in the water (as in MM; diving, launching above the waves, tight turns, rolls etc...) all though easy hand movements!! -The same could apply to flying through the sky in a future Zelda game. - Jet Set Radio/Tony Hawks - Graffiti tags could be applied in Fisrt Person; by holding down the 'A' button to spray the paint and then waving the can around with the controller to creat the picture. - Super Monkey Ball REV - Where your hand movements would control the ball, and the controller would also be great for the mini games. - Mario Golf/Baseball - You could swing to strike the ball - Resident Evil / Ninja Gaiden - Where sword/chainsaw/knife movements use the controller movements -
All those ideas sound AMAZING!! and if ever realised would be INCREDIBLE!! I think as Nintendo themselves mentioned how the controller could for example, be used to swing a sword, and Nintendo said that Zelda would change in some way after TTP (TTP would be the last of the old style), then us controlling Links sword is exactly something i'd expect for the next Zelda!! I was actually thinking it would be incredible if this would ever be the case, just the other day, and now it seems it could well be!!

seeing as the name revolution has been dropped...
Retro_Link replied to ultrajamie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah i was thinking the same about the sites name. I new design is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC guys, congratulations, and an extremely smooth, error free transition!! (though the forums being down for a few hours got me worried!) On the name things, Rev-Europe would sound better, No? -
This gives it has huge potential for Nintendo attracting casual gamers and those who love FPS'; which equates to a HUGE market. If Nintendo can prove themselves on this aspect, AND really deliver somethong great on the FPS' front, it could really put Nintendo back on track and on to a real winner!!

I think what he meant bt this is including the Rev controller (the 'remote' as the MAIN controller) and the analogue handset (this is the 'attachment') I think the design is Beautiful, i love the style and the 'laminated' glossy sheen to the controller (and the rev for that matter). I myself am all for this, as i will be buying the next Nintendo console, whatever! And all the good comments only go to strengthen to interest and excitment; though there doesnt seem to be anywhere near enough buttons and surely you will have to hold it horizontally when playing ALL games, not just NES etc.. because using buttons directly underneath each other feels very strange (applies to the D-pad and 'A'), and the other buttons are right at the bottom! Could have SOOOOOO much potential in FPS, as it should be even better than duel analogue; bring on the classic FPS' Nintendo.
