Whilst the Gamepad makes the Wii U version the definitive version, seems the game is no longer exclusive... http://www.vg247.com/2013/02/07/rayman-legends-confirmed-for-ps3-xbox-360-release/

*could someone take 'getting closer' out of the title*

OMG it's that sequel to Sonic 06 we've all been asking for isn't it!
-
@The Bard I'd honestly give both Uncharted 1 and Infamous 1 a look, I got my PS3 last year and they are both really great games, and then will make the sequels even more of a joy to play! You should be able to find them for around £12.50 as well... or check to see if Infamous is cheap on the PSN. Games I've bought: Uncharted, Uncharted 2, Infamous, Heavy Rain, Journey(PSN), The Unfinished Swan(PSN) Games I'm looking to buy soon: Uncharted 3, Infamous 2, Shadow of the Colossus(PSN), Pid(PSN) Okami HD will be incredible (I played the Wii version and it's in my Top 3 games for the console I reckon) and of course Ni No Kuni is you like your RGP's! Personally I haven't signed up to PS+ yet, if I wasn't looking for a job I'd be right on it, although I don't think I'd use it for AAA games so to speak, because with those I like to feel I 'have them' and can play them as and when I want. But I'd use it for all the games I sometimes consider buying like Limbo, Resident Evil 5, Vanquish etc...

Tbf I think Nintendo do a good job with 3D Mario each time... 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, 3DLand have all been different enough and there's been some incredible stuff in there! And no doubt the Wii U version will be outstanding too. The problem with Mario is IMO... he's become boring as a character. I'm so fed up of seeing him in SO MANY GAMES! Nintendo really need to take a step back with him, which is easier said than done seeing as he's their Mascot... but a Mario game used to be something so special to look forward to, it used to signify something special. I shouldn't ne sick of the sight of the character that's done the most for video games.

Lewis will be fine, but the most worrying thing for him is that Mercedes unreliability and general woes seem to have carried over into 2013. Really pleased to see Lotus on the pace!

Top Belgian imports at an all time high

HAPPY BIRTHDAY oh creative Belgian one!! Does 5 pages = Ee-nuuude? -
McLaren certainly look to have a great car under them this year. As much as Perez likes to talk it up, I think a WDC challenge is beyond him this year... I'm actually a bit wary of him being a bit Grosjean 2012 this year... whilst trying to hard! Button can put in all the fast laptimes he wants, but needs to sort out his Qualifying if he's to mount a challenge this year. Though tbh I'm not sure I could take Jenson becoming a 2x World Champion. I still can't believe he has one! :p

Yeah I remember reading previously in this thread that there's an auto-renew that needs turning off in one of the menu's.

@Murr @Ganepark32 The money seems to be on Bianchi landing the Force India seat, think he might be testing on Friday. @gaggle64 you're definitely right in that Marussia have achieved a lot, they made a real step last season considering they were without DRS. But that's why it's a bit frustrating... it finally looked like they might be able to make that Midfield breakthrough! Can two rookies keep that momentum going?... I don't know maybe, I guess we just have to wait and see.

Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens
Retro_Link replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Chit Chat
I guess the fans will finally be getting the Boba Fett movie they've been asking for. Disney can be quite certain of its success given how long people have been wanting to see more of the character, and it will also allow them to chance to make a very different, darker, Star Wars movie. May be chance of a Mace movie too as Samuel L Jackson recently said he'd like it if could find a way to make Mace return in the new trilogy; but if they don't then I guess with such a cool actor as him there's potential for a spin off. I'm quite surprised if Yoda is the first character they're considering. Personally I don't get excited by that one bit and it's not exactly something people have been asking for. It feels like we already have a good understanding of that character, even if there are hundreds of years to his character. Feels like we've already seen him in a lot of different story situations... leading & commanding/fighting/teaching. -
Mercedes off to a great start! In other news... Two rookies is a ridiculous move by Marussia... they made decent progress last season and this is going to get them no where. Surely there's an experienced driver out there who has some financial backing?

Gametrailers Review - 7.7 http://www.gametrailers.com/reviews/2fbd6b/dead-space-3-review IGN Review - 7.8
-
No thread for this?! IGN Review - 8.0 Anyone know whether the story is very standalone, or tied into the previous games? (I'm sure the HD trilogy is great, but don't really have the time for three Sly games). Haven't played a Sly game before, but might look to get it at some point, as a nice new fun franchise to try out.
-
^ Honestly it seems to be Nintendo who are forcing endless Mario's and Zelda's on us lately, they seem to have completely forgotten their other franchises exist. Pissing me off tbh.

Have to say for some reason the Arkham games don't really appeal to me either for some strange reason despite being aware of their great reputation! I think for some reason the brawling combat kind of puts me off.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our resident Bargain Hunter!!
-
Good news I guess, depends if you'd rather use the pointer or an analogue stick I guess. Don't really understand his comment about 'recalling the visuals of the Gamecube Pikmin' to understand how it'll work?
-
I thought he said something like that when he clapped his hands together to put the helicopter fire out, but watching it again on Youtube he doesn't. Of course Cap says Hulk Smash in The Avengers. Did he at least say "Bet-ty" in The Incredible Hulk?

Maybe Game & Wario does have some novel ideas then, but whilst The Wonderful 101 looks amazing, features like being inside buildings being on the Gamepad screen is just something simply making use of that screen, not a use that shows off how great gaming on the Wii U can be.

I hope Tesco are still dealing with my order and I don't get an email soon saying they couldn't get the stock!

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Retro_Link replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
That is what I was talking about yes, but WTF... I did not know this! :p -
Ah yeah that's true. But the way I'm kind of looking at it is The Wonderful 101 could technically have been done with Pikmin 1 & 2 like controls I might imagine, and Game & Wario has been done successfully on every handheld and home console to date. What the Wii U really needs is Nintendo to use what they've learnt from developing the console to create new IP's, that's what new console generations have always provided a great opportunity for! They help create the buzz and excitement!

Is that Scarlett Johansson at 0:50? and Happy Hogan at 0:56?

The gaming industry needs new gameplay experiences in order to survive. In order for people to buy games consoles they need to provide reasons for people to not just game on their iPhone and iPad, which is where the current trend is heading. For this reason bundling in the likes of Netflix, WiiTV etc... will never be an answer, they are convience, as is off screen play. Gameplay is what matters, and why if Nintendo are to succeed with the Wii U they need to hurry up and get examples out there of games that can only be played on the Wii U. At the moment the console only has one true example of this in Zombi U, and certain games within Nintendo Land. What I was really getting at in the Mario Universe thread was Nintendo have to get off their asses and sell the unique features of the console through their games.
