I can't believe that @Eenuh ended up winning it! She also missed the first week, so it's a pretty cool achievement. She hasn't stopped going on about it! I've made my team and I quite like the initial look of it. Watch all these players let me down now.

I've emailed @Space as he's the admin/creator of the group. As far as I can see, I can't get the League Code myself. If you were in the league last year, by making a new team it auto-enrols you. That's quite handy. Here's last year's code: 1151543-375779 Give it a go and maybe it'll work. If not, hopefully Space will reply soon!

We're back! How is everyone feeling ahead of the new season? Are you excited about your team's prospects? Which players are you looking forward to seeing? Also also, please create your Fantasy Football team and join the N-E league! I've just created my team.

I've taken some time off the main quest and am just running/boating around doing little quests/jobs here and there. This game is FUCKING AMAZING. It's a proper roast dinner of a game. Delicious.

TC Electronic Hall of Fame 2 reverb pedal. I had some Amazon vouchers that came to around £45, so I decided to splash it on this because I wanted a reverb pedal and this seems to fit the bill. Very excited! Should be getting here on Thursday, or hopefully tomorrow!

Well done, @Dcubed. I bet it feels amazing to have qualified after years of intense work!

I started this yesterday at around midnight and I've put...quite a few hours into it already. It's great! There's a nice feeling when you start a game or a film or tv series and you know it's going to be great before you even get started.

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

@drahkon and I have mentioned this in the Good Stuff Thread. New album at the end of the month, too! -
I've been listening to them this morning on Spotify. Had the Lateralus album on this morning and it's just a pure masterpiece. So excited about the new album!

I've been having a lot of fun lately and have been feeling in the mood to do much more playing and creating. I bought a little notebook a few months ago and have finally started using it to jot down a few ideas that I've been having. In the evenings, I've been trying to get to grips with scales and their uses. I have worked out that the reason why beginners get put off by scales is because they are introduced completely wrong. I know so many people who have bought books containing hundreds of scales and it basically boils down to "turn to page 10. This is Blues Major in D. Turn to page 11. This is the same scale in E. And so on and so on." I've been changing my approach to understand them and, after all of these years, it finally makes fucking sense. You don't need to remember each scale by rote, but rather find out where the root notes are and consider them to be moveable patterns. So, it's just a case of learning half a dozen or so patterns and then figuring out where you can play that pattern, or what scale you end up playing by inserting it in a certain place. Ahhhhhhhhh. Proper lightbulb moment. Scales are fucking awesome now! I've also made a few playlists on YouTube and have added "drumless tracks" to each playlist, so it almost becomes like a practice gigging experience. It's quite humbling in a way when the drums are removed from a piece and you have to fill that void. It's fun hearing that track and hearing your drums fill that gap, rather than just playing over the top of something. Going to keep expanding these playlists and will try to keep it varied! -
@drahkon...Tool are releasing their new album at the end of August!! Not only that, but they are releasing their entire back catalogue on streaming services tomorrow. I keep refreshing Spotify, just in case it's put up early!

Going to re-watch Season 2 of this today before making a start on Season 3. Looking forward to it.

Last night, we finished Season 2 of Dark after also doing a re-watch of Season 1. Sublime tv show and with just so much depth to it, too. Top tv!

R.I.P. Only 46 years old, too. Horrible for his family, children and friends.

Changed the topic title for you, guys. Hope that this comes on PS4 eventually. The second game was good fun. Loved this tune!

It's alright, lads. The Sony conference will surely deliver! Wait, wha-

Not feeling the E3 hype at all. Thought it was actually on next week and didn't realise until late yesterday that Microsoft's conference was on. Are we thinking that this will go down as one of the shitter E3 events?

Can't wait. Bring on April!

I really enjoyed this film, too. Saw it a few months ago and loved the style and soundtrack. Lovely film. Had a pretty satisfying ending too, I thought. I was worried that it would run out of steam towards the end, but actually, it was pretty well paced. Great film! I get what you mean about Kevin Spacey. Not sure what's going to happen now when people rewatch films like The Usual Suspects or Seven. They're not slights on the films themselves...it's just jarring because the fourth wall has been broken. Instead of seeing the character on stage, we can't help but see the actor.

Congratulations to Liverpool. Surreal that Origi is not only a Champions League winner, but a scorer in the semi-final AND the final. Fucking mental. The final itself was dreadful, but I'm not sure how much of that was down to tactics. The players looked generally tired on both sides. They mentioned the heat during the game, which surely can't be right.

I was thinking a 3-0 Liverpool victory before kick-off. Think I'll stick with that.
-
That's really sad to hear. RIP. Can't believe he was only 35...I always thought he was older than that.

Yeah, all the buzz, impressions, etc, they're the reasons why I've loved E3 in the past. The conferences are part of it, but it's the entire package. On the other hand, I can remember the feeling of disappointment in the past when Nintendo had shit conferences. There's always that sense of "oh god, what are we actually going to be playing this year if nothing was announced?!" So maybe this little-but-often approach is actually healthier for the long term, who knows. It's always nice to get these announcements coming out of nowhere. Would they be classed as veterans at this stage? They're on they're third console and I still regard them as a big player. I think they'll do much better in the fourth generation as they seem to be getting the message that it's their own content/exclusive that will push their console to the front. I wonder if we'll be having this same conversation after their E3 showing. Bring on the third party games, haha.

I always find myself watching Microsoft's shows and thinking to myself "I'll get that on PS4...there's another PS4 game...that one, too". I have no interest at all in buying another home console. But, at least their shows have got better. Not excited at all about this year's E3. I'm hoping that when it does come around that I get swept by the inevitable wave. I plan to watch the usual shows: Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA, anything Nintendo put out. A bit annoyed that there isn't going to be a Sony event.

Anybody else watching the Chernobyl tv series? Heard great things about it and I've really enjoyed it. Obviously horrible to watch in places, but just so gripping. I find myself saying to myself "wtf?!" every few moments. Hard to believe that such an event happened. Would highly recommend.
