I recently met up with a friend and was ranting and raving about how good PT was. One of the first videos that popped up was Pewdiepie playing the game. It was actually my first ever experience coming across that guy. Annoying as fuck. Watching two or so people play is more fun than one person just playing up to the camera.

Go ahead and make the thread. Would be quite funny to see how strange other people are. Me included. I laughed at this and thought it would be absurdly wide of the mark. Can't believe it's true.

It is pretty strange, not going to lie. I think years ago I would've been the same. Especially with DVDs. I wanted to have certain editions of DVDs, like the special editions and having these "three films on a single disc" thing would have annoyed me. Now, I don't really care about it. Plus, if you dislike one game now, there's still a possibility that you'll play it down the line and enjoy it. I've got a ton of games on the PS4 from PS+ that I haven't touched yet, for example. Going digital solves a lot of issues related to space. It's ridiculous looking through my draws for our TV unit thing and seeing it completely filled with games. It's a waste, tbh. I'd much rather have all of my games digital or one as few discs as possible.

He's quality and Southampton were right to be pissed off at how he went to Spurs instead of them. That was a messy transfer deal. A lot of clubs probably weren't in for him because the deal would be more trouble than they wanted. Premier League 1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Man Utd 4. Man City (leading to manager being sacked) 5. Liverpool (can see them just missing out by a few points, not much, but not quite enough to crack into the top 4) 6. Southampton Relegation I don't care as long as Bournemouth stay up. Atmosphere in work has been crazy with the kids when they got promoted. I think they'll do it. FA Cup Can see either United or Chelsea going for this. I think whoever wins the FA Cup will not win the League Cup. So...I'll say United for FA Cup and Chelsea for League Cup. League Cup See above. Champions League Barcelona Top Scorer Diego Costa Although I'd love it if someone like Depay did it. It's going to be a great season. Arsenal look strong, United look strong, Liverpool look improved. Question marks over City. In fact, I'd be content with City getting pushed out of top four and Liverpool making it in there. Depends how Benteke does. If they give him service, can see him being top scorer.

That's just crazy talk. :p Putting aside the lack of certain games in this collection, it's still insane value for money. I didn't actually realise the N64 games were that expensive on the VC until @Hero\-of\-Time mentioned it. £9?! That can't be the standard price for an N64 game, surely?
-
I picked up the digital edition of this when it was released. Think it was £35 at launch, which is insane for a brand new digital game. It's been nice seeing how the developers have supported this game since launch. The game is almost completely different to the one that launched. It's infinitely better. I wonder what it would score now if reviewed again. I'd give it a 9.

You downloaded Rocket League though, right?

I was casually browsing the net on my phone and just raaaaaan out of bed to the laptop to check the store as I wanted to view it properly. I got FlOw but couldn't get Flower. Nooooo, that's the one I really wanted. Still, a game for Freeeeeeeee. Freee stuff. Wooo.

Hnnnnggg, looking forward to this more than the new films. Are we at the point now where there are more top class Star Wars games than there are films?

Ah, you Irish with your funny usage of words. :p You can get deals for PS+ for somewhere between the 30 and 40 quid mark. Think I paid about £34 for my last subscription. It covers all three systems. So, for example, you pay that price and you can download six games a month. Usually it's two for each system. Cross-buy is quite a regular thing now, so I'm frequently getting three or even four PS4 games a month, as there's a fair few games that work between PS4/VITA or PS3/PS4 or across all three. I was going to buy Rocket League at full price anyway. I keep pondering over whether to get a PS3 or not. I want one, because there's still a fair few games I want to go back and play. Ni No Kuni is one of them. But, I dunno whether I could handle another system right now. I don't actually know what the price differences are between the 500GB and 1TB model, mainly because I don't need a system. Imo, you'd be better off taking the 500GB and upgrading the HDD. That's what I would suggest. I used a voucher for Amazon and got a 2TB HDD for about £30 or £40, or something like that. Others may say that 1TB is enough. I dunno. Personally, I like the reassurance of knowing I won't need to delete anything anytime soon.

Ah, fair enough, didn't actually spot that bit. Still, I can't take a Rare collection seriously without Goldeneye.
-
So? It's still (arguably) Rare's greatest ever game. It's the first game I looked for when this collection was announced.

Heh, didn't mean to imply that you were an emotional brick. Rather that if you didn't really enjoy the opening 15 minutes or so (of the game), then I doubt you'll like the rest of it either. It's similar to that opening segment in UP in the sense that not a lot is really told verbally to the viewer, but you can put the pieces together yourself to figure out what's going on. Ish. There's a bit more of that happening in Journey, which is why I think I connected with it quite a bit, as I liked the way that it did it. My advice would be to wait for a dealio. It's, what, £9.99 or something at the moment? Can see it being a plus game in the future or dropping in price (at least for a while). You never know, maybe it'll turn out to be better than you expected the next time you play it.

I'd go with a 2TB drive. That's what I went for and it's put me in good stead, so far. Imo, 1TB isn't enough. I actually think 2TB should be standard, but that's just me. Have a look at what's out there for the system atm and see if it's something you think you'll enjoy. To me, £299 was good value for money and I've definitely got the playtime out of it to warrant that cost. If you feel content with the current/previous gen systems, then maybe stick with those until you see a price that absolutely grabs you or a bundle that does that. I was definitely ready for a new console. Do you have PS+? If you do, purchase the PS4 games now so that you'll have a good backlog when it comes to getting one. My PS3 and Vita backlog is bigger than my WiiU and 3DS one. I don't own a PS3 or Vita. I assumed you meant brutal as in amazing, too. "That tackle was brutal." "Bloodborne is brutal." etc

Couldn't resist bringing that up. UP. UPPPP. As for Journey, I loved it, although it's difficult to explain why. To me, it was an interesting and (at times) a magical adventure. In terms of the gameplay, it's very, very simple. It's not got a long play-time, but I don't think it could really have been much longer without it being detrimental to that experience. If you played it for a bit and it didn't grab you, I don't think it'll be something you'll enjoy. Funny enough, if the opening segment of UP didn't leave you bawling like a baby, you're not going to be a fan of it at the end of the film either. It's very similar to that. The game has a way of making you feel invested in the visuals, sound, the world (or...lack of it at times, I guess), and if those components don't grab you, then it's probably not worth the money atm. If it comes up as a free PS+ game, I'd give it a try and maybe (in the right mood) it'll become a bit more magical for you. Had I played Journey on a bad day, I think I could have hated it.

Didn't you dislike Up, as well? :p

If you went back to it now, do you think that you'd like it? Fun fact: Arkham City was the game that put me off the whole off-tv play feature. It was impossible for me to tell what the hell I was doing or where I was going on such a tiny screen. You need a big screen for it. See, I enjoyed the story in City a lot. Plus, I like how there are more of the main Batman villains who turn up in it. The side-missions also seem to fit in a bit better to the overall plot, imo. Arkham Knight, whilst being pissing annoying for the Battank is still a great game. I think we were blessed with a good series of Batman games there. @Daft, no, I didn't have Asylum (lol, I was not granted Asylum) because I was on dat Wii/WiiU/Nintendo-only time.

I still don't really see what was wrong with Arkham City. I played the WiiU edition of it and, unless it wildly differed from the other versions, it was a really good game, I thought. I enjoyed gliding across the sky and taking out groups of enemies on roof-tops or by stealthily going around and eliminating them one-by-one. Plus, I don't think it ever really felt repetitive or generic as there was a good mix of puzzle solving and combat. Plus, certain story missions like the Victor Zsasz where you had to fly across the City to reach the telephone calls were quite entertaining, I thought. I'm surprised that there were one or two on here who didn't like the game. I loved it.

I played about 30 minutes of one of the games but can't remember too much about it at all. I was thrown right into the middle of the game and had no idea what was going on or what I was doing. Think we stopped and played some Guitar Hero instead. It's hit the mark of £280 with either a game (or rarely, two games thrown in). I paid £299 for mine over a year ago, so you can easily get it under £300. If you wait a few months, there's inevitably going to be slightly better deals. Just like if you wait 5 years into a console's lifecycle, you'll no doubt be able to get it much cheaper. The downside is, obviously, you'll get it later and miss out in the mean time. It's a good time to jump in now because the prices are good and there's the likes of Rocket League which we're playing. Have you finally seen the light and are moving away from the WiiU? I don't miss it one bit.

This is what I was getting at earlier. Do you know what standardised means? Nintendo could do with a bit of this actually. Analogue shoulder triggers for example are important for racing games and shooters.
