  1. Happy to win, better than last year, at least! Both sides looked very rusty and I don't think either team wanted to really win or lose that. A draw would have been a more fair result. Spurs put on loads of pressure in the final 10 minutes and we were lucky to ride it out. The new signings all look like good signings, but they'll need time to get used to things. Darmian looked fantastic, though. Amazing that we actually have a right back now, a top quality one, too. Man of the Match: Chris (Mike) Smalling. Our new centreback pairing should be Smalling + 1. If we bring in a new striker or somebody who can play up there, I think we'll be fine. Rooney needs competition otherwise he'll just get lazy.
  2. How come you've only got three games? You've been downloading the PS+ games, right? That sound issue is strange. Not sure if it's a cable or your PS4.
  3. Well... It's been seven years. I've known for a while that I was going to ask, but I've had my friends in work joking about it for a year. We used to joke about hosting it at our school (because, tbh, it is pretty stunning looking, and it's in the middle of the New Forest). They would joke about the roles that they'd play, what everyone would bring to the team, who would set the tables up, who would be the DJ, who'd do the food, etc. Pretty funny. Part of that "dream" is inspired by a party we had at the school a few years ago where we had a marquee set up and people stayed at the school overnight. It was one of the most fun parties I've ever been to, truly awesome. I have a good friend there who said that he'd help me to look for a ring. So, in the Summer holidays, off we went to Christchurch, which is where he lives to go and buy a ring. Picture of my school for reference of the story: Christchurch - So, off we went. We/I narrowed it down by process of elimination and immediately put aside things that I knew Ine liked/didn't like. There were some huuuuuge, hideous ones that I knew straight away were out of the question. The one I ended up getting here was unique in that the design was exclusive to the creator, plus it just looks very special, especially the clasp/how the stone is held in place. I wanted something that wouldn't be too big because she doesn't like that, something that is special looking (this one caught the light really, really well. You get tons of colours out of it) and something that I think would...just fit her in an artistic sense. I think I did well! I had a little discussion in work about whether I should ask for her family's permission beforehand. Half of the people said yes, the other half said no. In the end, I thought it would be the politest thing to do, since I don't have an awful lot of contact with them due to the distance and language barrier. (although I do speak Dutch/Flemish, it's not THAT good or good enough for such an important thing) So...enter @Sméagol! I contacted him over Private Messaging here and gave him a draft of the letter, which he translated before we edited it together. I wanted to keep Ine out of the loop, so I didn't tell or ask any mutual friends for help. Part of the surprise. We wrote the letter, sent it off and her family replied almost instantly with a resounding Yes. They were very complimentary and said lots of nice things. Ine's family have a holiday villa in Spain. We were there last summer, and this is where we'd be staying again. Our view of the pool and villa where we stay: This is the terrace/balcony/veranda where we eat breakfast. It's also where we took the engagement photo and the spot where I proposed, which I'll come to later. Photo is taken last year, hence Ine's much longer hair. The ring came in a lovely little brown box, tucked inside of a slightly bigger black box with a bow. I placed it my backpack and hid it under my graphic novels. I knew Ine would never look there, so I thought to myself that it should be safe. We went through customs and I prepared myself for the possibility that we would most likely be searched and that they may or may not ask about the ring. Both Ine and I got searched, although they seemed to hilariously want to look through her bags instead of mine. It turns out that they didn't understand what her graphic tablet was all about and were asking her all sorts of questions about it. I didn't know exactly when I was going to propose, but I knew that I'd do it when the moment felt right. Straight away, I knew several things that Ine would hate. 1. She doesn't like to be the centre of attention, so public declarations of love wouldn't go down well. 2. She is romantic, but I guess not overly cheesy, so that rules out a few possibilities. 3. She isn't lame, so hiding it in her food, wine glass, that sorta shit is right out of the window. On the second night there, we were going to a restaurant that was one of our favourites last year. There's a lovely walk up there and some beautiful architecture nearby, so I took the ring with me in its box and placed it in my pocket. Just in case. Meal was fine, but it was absolutely boiling hot. It turns out we've come to Spain right in the middle of a heatwave. So, the moment wasn't right. We ate up and didn't really want to go anywhere because it was too warm. We headed off home and got changed into some more comfortable clothes. As soon as we got home, we noticed that there were fireworks outside and watched them. That would have been a great moment, but I had taken the ring and placed it in the house. So, I couldn't go and get it then because it would have looked awkward as fuck. The next night, it was still very, very hot. We had our meal and went for a walk on the beach. It turns out a billion other people had the same idea and it was crowded and boiling. We went through a little fun fair, lolled at the little kids on the rides and went back to our house. We thought it would be a good idea for a midnight swim, so we did that. Again, the ring was in the house and I didn't want to go back inside, dripping wet, to go and get it. Eventually, we dried up and went back into the house. For the second night, the fireworks went off again! I thought, ok, I'll do it tomorrow with the fireworks...but it turns out that the fireworks were only for two days. What are the chances, eh? The following night, it was still very warm and we decided to stay in and cook. We made some lovely pasta/salmon dish and sat on the terrace, looking out at the mountain. There's a bench that's got its own pillows and covers, so after our meal we sat there and looked out at the sea and the view. It was nice and quiet, peaceful, slightly cooler because I had placed the fan on behind us and the stars were out as the night was clear. All of the pieces seemed to fall into place and the mood was just right. So, I figured that was the right moment and did it. Gave her a slight reveal that I had been talking to her parents recently, which confused her..and just before she understood what I was on about, I dropped on one knee. Cue lots of tears (she said yes, obviously) before we let our families know the good news. She cried a lot, so much so that because I hugged her, she had to remind me that I had to put the ring on her finger. It was bang on 11 o'clock, or 10pm in the UK where @Daft was having his psychic moment and we agreed not to reveal it to the majority of people until the next day, as we didn't want them to miss it. (although, I let @Sméagol know beforehand, and I also messaged my friend from work to let him know the good news)
  4. I'm part of the Keira is my one true love (but she dead) crew.
  5. I did quite a lot of them and think my game-time was around the...110 mark? Might be a bit less than that. Tempted to go back through and do the game on New Game+ one day. Should be good fun. These new characters in X better be half as likeable as they were in previous.
  6. Yes. Nintendo. This is awkward. Cheers, Raining. Wonderful life? It's not like I'm planning to mar- Oh shiiii-
  7. Did you not do the sidequests?
  8. I wish I could thank your posts, but I ran out of thanks. Here's the link to the thread.
  9. Sorry, Raining, is the thread not loading for you? Are you on dat 56k time?
  10. What if the wedding were the meet up.
  11. This totally sounds like @Retro_Link has a hot female cousin and you want her to come so you can hit on her. Then I remembered that @Eddage is hawt, too. So, I guess everythingturnedoutbetterthanexpected.jpeg Fucks sake, we'll have to come next year.
  12. Tempted to agree with this, @/nando/ Although, it's a difficult one to assess. On paper, I'd say it's something you wouldn't enjoy. But maybe it'll surprise you. If you've already got the game, play it and see how you find it. I love the battle system. You'll probably know within a few hours or so how you feel about it. I do think it's worth experiencing. I didn't do an awful lot of grinding with this, especially when you do the sidequests. Like I mentioned earlier, there are a few points where the difficult spike is a bit ridiculous. Part of the thing with RPGs is that they usually contain bigger worlds, tons of quests within them and a lot of the focus is on the plot. (cutscenes, storytelling, character development) There probably are quite a lot of shorter RPGs out there, but you just need to find them. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing that the game is huge. In fact, it's a very, very good thing. Especially since the world is beautiful to look at and there's lots to see and discover.
  13. I did contemplate trading in my base game and getting The Taken King. Hmm, if I do decide to get into it, I'll do it that way. I'll see how I'm feeling when I get back home. Might have to be super tight with money now! Good, goooood. Yeah, Tomb Raider is cheap now. You can either pick it up now, or just wait until the PS4 comes and get it then. It's only getting cheaper. I love it, such a fantastic game. Blew me away when I played it. Hnnnngggg.
  14. Cheers for the info. Makes more sense to do this in co-op. Looking forward to trying it out. (I've run out of thanks)
  15. Your body gets used to it over time. Squatting and deadlifting in particular. More so the correct movements, how your body should be positioned, where the barbell should be, etc. Start off sensibly and get the form correct. I didn't find barbell benching that comfortable/natural when I started out, so I wimped out of it and stuck to those chest-press machine things. If I could go back in time, I'd do it differently (wood hit myself in the face in the process) If I were to step into a gym now, the only two machines I'd use would be...probably the leg press and maybe the lat pulldown. Maybe. I've seen far bigger improvements since moving away from machines and going free-weight only.
  16. Cheeeeers, Professor Bob. I don't mind that it's short at all, I'm probably all for it actually. As it means we're more likely to get in the end and won't start it and then not finish it. Tempted to also buy that FoxTales DLC for Never Alone. I really, really enjoyed what I played of it and wouldn't mind some more.
  17. Don't...tempt me, Frodo. Ah, but then I've gotta get all the dlc, which is...like, a million quid now, isn't it? I would be lying if I said I haven't been tempted a few times to jump aboard. But then Star Wars Battlefront is out soon and that'll be new and exciting, too.
  18. I'll be most probably playing it with @Eenuh. Does it affect the gameplay hugely if you do try to solo it? Is it primarily meant to be played with more than one person? Looks pretty interesting anyway. As I mentioned earlier, she was close to buying it recently, so that's a bit more money saved.
  19. I'd heard somewhere that the game is multiplayer only, but not sure if legit. @lostmario, pls repond.
  20. Mirin' post reply speed. Mirin' Moto G. MotoG crew 4 lyf
  21. I thought Fleenuh was the accepted amalgamation of our names.
  22. Yaaaaaaaay! inb4 Red Wedding. Maybe your superhuman power is your psychic ability. If you sensed it at around 10pm last night, then...fuaaaark. No, I bought a Lion that looks like a mountain. Wat Cheeeeers, bro. Get a PS4 I take it you mean that last gif? It's just the best, isn't it? Thanks. I'm pushing for a Disneyland Wedding, but I don't think it'll happen guysss.
  23. It's happening!
  24. Haha. Basically, I have the game. I've had it since launch. I got it and the Fifa. The problem is that I plunged a lot of time into Fifa, doing pro clubs with people on here. When I tried playing more Destiny, another thing popped up. First it was Bloodborne, then The Witcher. I was shit during the Wii's lifespan. I bought loads of games, but didn't play half of them. Half of my collection features games that I've never touched. I promised myself that I'd buy PS4 games but really, really play them this time. Hence why I plunged so much time into Bloodborne, The Witcher, Fifa, etc. Every time I thought about playing Destiny, either another game came up or I'd feel overwhelmed as everyone else is reaaaaally into it, whereas I'm only level...19, I think. Also, I worried about it being expensive because of the dlc. Not sure what to do about it. It seems really addictive and I enjoyed what I played. But, part of me wonders if I've missed the boat and if I'm too behind now.
  25. When are you going to jump aboard the PS4 train?
