This has gone pretty off topic and it's descended into a game of one-upmanship. I thought this was meant to be about Iwata? Let's try to keep it that way.

So my wife had an implant without telling me...
Fierce_LiNk replied to Murr's topic in General Chit Chat
Yeah, I worded that bit wrong. (I'm tiiiiiired) I mean men don't really have to have an awkward talk with the doctor about birth control, whereas women do. I've never had to talk to a doctor about condoms. That's what I meant. -

That's not what I meant. I mean that it's rather unfair for women to have to go through that. Like you say, there's no side effects for us, but there are for women who take the pill/have the implant. That's what I mean when I say that it's unfair and not really equal. -

Just want to say that I've never seen Ine angry-type for a loooong time. I could see the steam coming out of her ears. Think it turned out well in the end (Murr's situation). (on a side note, it does bring up the issue of it being a tad bit unfair on the women's side of things in terms of birth control. I know men have the condom, but it's a whole different situation when it comes to women and the pill/implant. I don't have to visit the doctor or have awkward conversations when wearing a condom (lawl, imagine that)...there's a definite bit of inequality there) -
Crazy deal. Might be good for one of the PS4 newcomers like @Ronnie or @Rummy. I went ahead and bought the Season Pass. I've been after it for a while and I can't resist at that price.
-
I do want this but think it'll be an ideal Christmas present/game. Looks wonderful, though.
-
How can we add you if you don't have your PSN id displayed?
-
The game is pretty accessible and is going to be far easier for newcomers to delve into than something like Bloodborne, which can be really fucking hard at times (especially the start, dat learning curve). Also, just because they're playing Watch Dogs doesn't mean they're not playing other world games. I've played inFAMOUS, The Witcher 3, GTAV and Bloodborne and loved them all in different ways.

Yeeeeeeeeessss! Seriously, made my day. See you online, brah. Get The Witcher, cunt. I'd be willing to do that..but...for the whole game? That's a LOT of share play.

Party Chat is a built-in app. It runs like Spotify does in the sense that it's independent to the game. So, the example you posted is possible. You don't need to be playing the same game in order to chat. You don't even need to be playing anything at all. It's its own separate thing.

I'm glad that you're getting into it and are starting to enjoy it. For what it's worth, I really, really liked the game and it didn't disappoint me. With the progression (4/20), that's only until you unlock the trophy. These missions can still pop up, if I remember rightly. I can't remember exactly about the burner phones...I think they appear on the map though, so you just go to the areas and do the mission stuff there. I don't think you can even start doing this side mission until a certain point in the story. The world does have a day/night cycle in the sense that there's less people around at night, although I can't remember if that really alters things. I think you're still able to access your side missions no matter what time of day. I don't think it plays a huge part, tbh. Although, driving in the rain at night can look pretty good. With regards to how you approach missions or purchase skills: Do what you feel is the most fun. Upgrade what you feel that you'll need or enjoy using the most. There's a cool IGN video here that gives you tips on what to upgrade and when to do it. I sunk a loooooot of time into this and played it for hours and hours. Mostly just fucking around and looking at different ways to approach things.

I don't do an awful lot of the online gaming stuff, mainly because I've been heavily into the single player types or aspects of games like Bloodborne (although that has got a multi), The Witcher 3, Arkham Knight, Alien Isolation, the plus games, etc. When I went online with things like FIFA and Battlefield, it was a chance to socialise whilst gaming. I probably would like to get into that side of things more when I get another more multiplayer orientated game, like Battlefront. Soon.jpeg Just get it, dammit. You know you're going to get one at some point and you may as well jump in and enjoy it now rather than wait to hopefully save a couple of quid. There's some awesome deals floating around, plus the catalogue is expanding. Things are just getting better, too.

Golden Joysticks 2015 - Game of the Year
Fierce_LiNk replied to Jimbob's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Cube, pls. Some of the awesome games that got mentioned on that list: The Witcher 3 Bloodborne Alien FUCKING Isolation Arkham Knight Dying Light Dragon Age: Inquisition Everybody's Gone To The Rapture Life is Strange Sunset Overdrive Invisible Inc There's more that I can't be arsed to name. A great list of games there. I gave a looot of my votes to The Witcher 3. By far the best game that I've played this year. That one game alone makes this year a memorable one. -
Nothing I own is really big apart from my weights. Wait, wut-
-
Fuck sake, @Rummy. Get this, The Witcher 3, Rocket League and all of the other pieces will fall into place. Even @Ronnie is getting in on the act!

If we can get De Gea to sign a long term deal or put in a big clause, this could end up being a bit of a blessing for us in terms of getting a better deal out of it. I'll be amazed if Madrid don't get special dispensation for this. The Spanish giants get everything their way and somehow the right authorities will do everything in their power to ensure that this deal goes through. They'll push for it, set precedents, etc. No idea what we'll do if De Gea stays, though. Not sure how I'd feel about him playing or how he'd feel about that. From his point of view...shouldn't he be angry at Madrid? If they wanted him that badly, why didn't they make a serious offer earlier on? If I were him, I'd think twice about such a move, tbh. Also, the speculation from Marca suggests that all of the paperwork was sent on time, but not in a format that the Spanish Authorities could view. Haha. Brb, need to re-install MS Office again.
-
I don't know what to think. Seems a bit shit if that does happen considering we had an agreement in place. Fucking Madrid. Hope we never have to deal with this scum again.
-
OH MY GOD. Apparently the De Gea papers didn't get through to Madrid on time and...it looks like he won't be a Madrid player as it stands. Madrid will probably get special dispensation for it. If not though...what does it mean?! How fucking dramatic is that? Why did Madrid leave this so late when it's clear they wanted him? (to get a cheap deal out of us, I know that)
-
You not into Bloodborne, Brah?
-
It's a good deal in the sense that he only had a year left on his contract and we would 100% lose him for nothing next year had we kept him for this season. It's a shite deal because he's the best keeper in the world and is easily worth double that value. I don't know where I stand with Navas. Never really watched him so I can't judge if he's a good keeper or not. He's probably better than Romero, though. Lloris would be my number 1 choice but Spurs won't sell this late and we won't go for him if we get Navas as part of the De Gea deal. I think most United fans would be happy with Navas, even if it's only for a few seasons before we line up the next replacement. So...I guess that it's an okay-ish deal. Depending on how well Navas does. If he comes in and becomes a fan favourite, then maybe it'll turn out to be a good deal. Would have been nice if we could do what we did with Ronaldo and guarantee him the move next summer, but only if he signs a big deal now. Ergo, giving us a bigger transfer fee next season.
-
I wouldn't entirely class it a panic buy, he's been heavily tracked by Barcelona and Madrid. Think he was also on Arsenal's radar and Spurs may have shown interest, too. (Although, big teams always get linked with tons of different players) It's actually a typical United signing; young player with potential and a high ceiling. It's a lot of money, so I hope it turns out to be money well spent. The reason I wouldn't class him as a panic buy is that he seems more like a youth product for the next season or even one after, rather than one ready made for the first team right now. Fellaini is more like a panic buy and we bollocksed that deal up as we could have got him for cheaper and earlier. We do need competition for places, especially in the striker role. If Hernandez is going, then we need another more established striker to come in.

These days, big soundtracks are on Spotify. The Last of Us, The Order 1886 and Everybody's Gone To The Rapture are three of my favourite current soundtracks and are all on Spotify. Maybe that could or should be an option.

Fuck sake, @Hero\-of\-Time. I can't afford any more games right now. So, this game is better than anyone thought it would be? I put it down as "looks great, will probably be shit but maybe fun to play alongside somebody else." I didn't think this would legitimately end up good.
-
Lol, I don't love to hate on anything. (I'm a lover, not a fighter) Doing that with the Millennium Falcon would be fun...because it's still the Millennium Falcon. That video that was posted on the previous page is pretty boring and I don't really see how co-op could make that fun. Going through the whole game with your mate alongside you can definitely be fun, and I'm all for that, but I think there's better ways of implementing it. Maybe I should rephrase the second question: Is there any multiplayer at all? What are the game modes in this aside from the single player campaign? Can you go through the whole game with a friend, for example?

Watch Dogs is very different, although I liked/loved both games. Did you buy Tomb Raider, as well? I'm eager to see how you get on with that.
