  1. These days, big soundtracks are on Spotify. The Last of Us, The Order 1886 and Everybody's Gone To The Rapture are three of my favourite current soundtracks and are all on Spotify. Maybe that could or should be an option.
  2. Fuck sake, @Hero\-of\-Time. I can't afford any more games right now. So, this game is better than anyone thought it would be? I put it down as "looks great, will probably be shit but maybe fun to play alongside somebody else." I didn't think this would legitimately end up good.
  3. Lol, I don't love to hate on anything. (I'm a lover, not a fighter) Doing that with the Millennium Falcon would be fun...because it's still the Millennium Falcon. That video that was posted on the previous page is pretty boring and I don't really see how co-op could make that fun. Going through the whole game with your mate alongside you can definitely be fun, and I'm all for that, but I think there's better ways of implementing it. Maybe I should rephrase the second question: Is there any multiplayer at all? What are the game modes in this aside from the single player campaign? Can you go through the whole game with a friend, for example?
  4. Watch Dogs is very different, although I liked/loved both games. Did you buy Tomb Raider, as well? I'm eager to see how you get on with that.
  5. I've decided to restart this game as I did very little on it last time around before putting it aside to play other games. I love that prologue! Great introduction to the game.
  6. I gave you the thumbs up, @Ronnie. Glad you enjoyed the game. Have to agree about the presentation, it's a stunning game. Any ideas on what you'll play next?
  7. I don't understand why that could/would be fun? Seems a bit lame to me. You wouldn't do a Zelda game where one player controls the way Link moves and another controls the way he uses his sword or fires. It seems a needless way to complicate things. This has a multiplayer, right? As in, Lylat Wars style dogfight multiplayer?
  8. How many matches did it take you?
  9. Well done, Swansea. Gary Monk is one of my favourite young managers and they play bluddy good football. We fell apart once it went to 1-1. Again, Rooney offered absolutely nothing up front and spends more time bellowing at the ref and linesman than he does actually being a proper captain for the team. Should've been subbed off. I don't like possession football. We controlled the game for large points in the first half, which is fine. But, as soon as we concede, we ditch it all and start going long-ball-panic-football.
  10. Foxcatcher arrived from LoveFilm a while back and we've finally gotten around to watching it. I knew very little about it beforehand other than Steve Carell was apparently quite good in it. The acting was great from the three big leads, particularly Channing Tatum, who I've never seen in a film that wasn't a comedy before. Steve Carell was haunting in this, yet also sad to watch. Even until the final act, I was still back and forth about what kind of person or even what kind of film this was. I found it pretty shocking at the end:
  11. I missed MotD yesterday, so we'll be watching it tonight. I dunno, Walcott is 26 now, isn't he? He really should be at a position in his career where he is playing week in week out. He'd be playing every week for a club like Southampton.
  12. I wish you had caught me yesterday because I was in the form of my life! We had a session in the afternoon and then in the evening. We were great in the afternoon before being shite in the evening. Still nowhere near that Far, far away trophy.
  13. Well, he's a bit of a muppet for staying then, tbh.
  14. I'm not. Some crazy results today. Didn't see that Liverpool/West Ham scoreline coming at all. I thought Chelsea would draw, but I also fancied Bournemouth and Stoke to get home wins. Excellent day for the away teams!
  15. Some of the criticism that I've read about this is related to how it controls on PC. Seems that the controller support for it wasn't great, but that could easily be something that's rectified for console. The other criticism seemed to be that it's difficult/overwhelming at the start. Sorta like what @Smeagol just said. But, they've got a campaign now, so maybe that's been sorted. I think it looks pretty good, tbh. Should be a decent 7/10 (or maybe even 8/10 for some) type of game.
  16. Did Walcott ever end up playing as a striker? I seem to remember some sort of hoohaaarr about him wanting that. Bournemouth are 1-0 up.
  17. Lol, FFP. It was bullshit and not really thought through properly. They have overpaid for both De Bruyne and Sterling, but the cost of players (particularly the upper tier) is rising. We'll surpass the £100m mark for a footballer really soon, and quite comfortably, I imagine. Maybe even £120m within the next few years. Look at how much Chelsea are offering for John Stones.
  18. Soooo, De Bruyne looks like he's definitely going to City. They're going to have a hell of a team this season. Title favourites now.
  19. How story heavy is this game? It looks absolutely stunning to me, but I've never, ever played an MGS game before. How important is it to play the other games beforehand? Is it like a Witcher 3 experience where the game essentially fills you in on the details in the previous games or you can work it out yourself, or is it much more complicated than that?
  20. Maybe it'll seem faster/more fun when you play it for yourself? Maybe. My hype levels for this remain set to Zero.
  21. In the Starfox Zero thread, @Jamba posted this many months ago: Well, I've had a quick look and the game is coming to PS4 and XboxOne soon. These versions of the game will also contain new features, including a story-driven campaign and cutscenes. Looks a billion times more exciting than Starfox Zero.
  22. Will definitely get this when I have a bit moar money. I've spent faaaar, far too much lately...I think my bank will self destruct if I buy any more things. Dat feel when no three money.
  23. After watching this and these two videos in Awesome Stuff Thread: I can't breathe. How is it possible to watch three God-tier videos in a row? I think I'm on the greatest streak of my life.
  24. Hurr you go. Ok...let me see if I can work out which weights are in that photograph. Top left: 15KG bumper plates Top right: 10kg and 5KG bumper plates Bottom right: 25KG bumper plates Bottom left: 20KG bumper plates Weight tree is a standard weight tree. That upper middle bit contains...2KG standard cast iron, with some 1.25KGs on top of that. Below that (bottom middle) contains 10KG cast iron standard with an assortment of 1.25s, 2.5kgs and 0.5kgs. Before I got the bumper plates, I had all of the standard weights fitted onto the tree and it looked neat as fuck. On the floor, you can see the rubber tri-grip plates next to the dumbbell on the right. There's some 2.5KGs and 1.25KGs there. I've got about four of those dumbbell handles, mainly because the two I got when I first started out weren't great and so I bought a newer and better set. There's a fair amount of spin lock collars dotted around that place, too. There's a few other weights out of shot. If you look reeeeeeally carefully, next to the weight tree there is a bottom open compartment of Ine's wardrobe. Those black things that you can see are two 25KG standard weight plates with a couple of 5KGs on top of them. It was either store them there or under the bed and I chose there for some reason. This shot shows how I set up the equipment to do squats (I usually have those spot-catcher bits raised too, but didn't do it for this demonstration). I move the bench out of the way for that and then move it back when doing bench press, for example. That's my new Olympic bar. That's how I store the squat stands. The height bars are adjustable, so I retract them and put them away when not in use. I like this a lot because it means we can save a lot of space when not exercising. That's where I keep my old standard barbells. Can't remember the size of the smaller one, but the larger one is either at or close to 7ft and weighs around 8KG. Safe to say that the new Olympic bar is a bit heavier and is taking a tiny bit of getting used to. So, there you have it...A tiny bit messy at the moment (at least, compared to what it used to be like when I was standard weights only) but it's getting there. The thing that is annoying about the current set up is the smaller standard weights are in the way and the 20KG bumper plates (bottom left of the tree) are difficult to retrieve due to the tree's positioning. At the moment, it'll do. We've done pretty well considering that the space we've got isn't really all that big. @Ashley can vouch for this as he's seen it in real life. But, it's about working with what you've got and I think we've done well there.
  25. There are a few things I like about trophies. One thing is that you get an extra reward for reaching the end of the game, or doing certain things within it (like completing a chapter). They can also be pretty good at getting you to do things that you normally wouldn't do in a game. There are definitely annoyances, though. Certain trophies can be an absolute pain in the arse to get and then it becomes more about getting the trophy than enjoying the game. Shadow of Mordor was an excellent game and I platinumed it, but it was a pain in the arse to do certain trophies here and there. I've two platinums so far. Shadow of Mordor and The Walking Dead. Close to platinuming Rocket League. Not sure if I'll do it for The Witcher 3 as it requires you to do it on the hardest setting...maybe....
