  1. Thinking back to my time being in a gym that wasn't at home, I hardly ever saw people squat or deadlift anyway. No matter what time of the day I went or what day it was, I've only ever seen a small handful do both. But then, I've only ever been to gyms like Fitness First or Bannatynes. So, they weren't really the types of gyms where you go to primarily lift weights, I guess. Bannatynes' weights area is a bit poverty, thinking back on it. Curls are the type that I saw the most. Mostly dudes swinging the weights as they lift them or rocking forward and back.
  2. Cheeeeers! Just got FIFA16 and Uncharted Collection thanks to that. Ine bought one and I bought the other.
  3. Gah, each Gwent Deck in the Hearts of Stone physical expansion features 77 cards. So, 154 cards... Does anyone know how to actually buy the physical version? I'm definitely getting it. I want those fucking Gwent Cards, hnnnnggg.
  4. My work USB stick/drive/piece of shit died on me today. It started playing me up this morning and kept disconnecting every few minutes. I've got a few back-ups here and there and some stuff on the cloud/OneDrive. But, the main bulk of that stuff is on the stick. It's ruined my day, tbh. Been pissed off all day trying to fix it or access it or move things across when it decided it did want to work.
  5. I missed them because...I don't watch much TV. Hnnnnnggg, how old is she there? Just so I can hnnnngggg without being on dat paedo-time. Completely agree with this. I went into work today and not a single person had seen the United game yesterday. I don't think a lot of kids watch that much football because Match of the Day will be on past their bedtime and, unless they've got BT/Sky, nothing is televised anymore. People are being priced out of the game. If they're not priced out of match tickets, they're priced out of BT/Sky. As for the BBC tax, it's a big gripe of mine. Aside from Match of the Day, I barely touch any of the BBC channels. I don't like the wool that they try to pull over people's eyes when they claim not to do advertisements when they clearly advertise their own programs. It's nothing different to what Spotify do with their free version, where they play adverts after every two or three songs. It's exactly the same. If you're paying the licence fee, the scheduling should be back to back without any bullshit adverts full stop. The only time I think they really excel themselves is during Wimbledon or when there's a football/sporting tournament. In terms of drama and entertainment, I don't rate it at all.
  6. I do feel quite sorry for a lot of teenagers these days. They're constantly being told that they have no future, there's a lack of jobs, that they will probably never own a house, that their exam results are shit and the previous generation did it better. It's quite negative. I don't think I'd like to be a teenager growing up now. Or even someone younger than that. The world has changed a lot. I try not to let nostalgia cloud my vision. I enjoyed growing up, but there were also bits that I didn't enjoy. I think I actually prefer my life and who I am now rather than the one I was when growing up.
  7. I actually don't know who to blame, so I'm blaming them all! Fuck sake.
  8. After a busy day at work yesterday, I thought I'd stick on a bit of ITV and watch our Champions League Match against PSV. Strangely, it wasn't being aired. Ok, I guess I'll stream that on the laptop and watch City/Juventus on the telly. No...ok. Maybe it'll be Arsenal or Chelsea tomorrow. Apparently, no. Somehow I missed all of this, but ITV have lost the rights to the Champions League and I'd have to get BT Sport to watch this. Wtffff? It's actually pathetic how little I use my television to actually watch tv. I play games, I stream using Netflix or I watch a film. So...why exactly should I be paying over a hundred pounds a year for this TV Licence? It's a crock of shit. So, basically, to watch the football...tv is now useless unless I have BT Sport and possibly Sky on top of that. Fucking wonderful.
  9. I love being an adult and there's no way I could go back to being a kid now. Being a teenager...no thanks, Jeff. Dat exam stress, dat worry about "what will you do when you grow up?!", dat learning to drive stress, dat feel being broke as fuck and no real way to make money and no sense of freedom. Yes, you don't get a lot of free time. But, earning money is great and you get a true sense of worth when you know that you bought these things for yourself or that you accomplished something. I'm lucky doing a job that I love, too. When you have your own place, you can have whoever you want around and can go out til lord knows what time. Growing up has turned out to be better than expected for me.
  10. Player who hacked Shaw down to break his leg ends up scoring the equaliser and Rojo (Shaw's substitute) gets caught under the ball for their winner. What a way to kick you when you're down.
  11. Luke Shaw has almost certainly broken his leg in today's game against PSV. From the knee downwards, his leg was facing completely the wrong direction. Doubt we'll see him again this season. Looked fucking horrible. Completely gutted. He's looked utterly fantastic this season, too.
  12. Coming home to find this news makes this the best day ever.
  13. A slightly unusual game from us, but the performance was pretty much what I expected. It was quite funny, I was watching the game with a few friends and I said that we'd struggle to create (which we did), that we needed much more up front (which we did) but that I didn't think Liverpool would have enough to break us down (which they didn't). The best bit however was right before we scored. I said that the only way we'd score in this game is from a corner or free kick and it'll be a goal from someone like Smalling or Blind. Less than a minute later, that's how our goal came. We played much better in the second half than the first. Possession football isn't our thing at all. It needs to be attacking football, forward passes and with the ball being used for crossing, dribbling, passing and shooting. We don't take enough shots or enough in good positions. Martial's goal was great but Benteke had the goal of the game. Schweinsteigar was the best player on the pitch for me, absolutely everywhere. Been a long time since I saw a midfielder perform like that for us. Thought him and Blind were immense.
  14. I'm absolutely knackered. I weight trained on Thursday and did my usual Friday afternoon/evening football club where we played for about two hours. Today, I had to take the kids on a short trip in the morning and then we had a Family Fun Day thing organised at our school. I played in two 6-a-side matches; one against a team made of parents and another match against a team made up of ex-pupils. I woke up this morning and knew that it would be a struggle due to feeling very tired and having a disruptive week. There's been major roadworks on the big stretch of road that connects Bournemouth to the area where I work. What usually takes me 25 minutes has more or less taken me almost 1 hour and 25 each day. So, that's made me tired, but the football and training has also added to that, so wasn't particularly up for it today. We started our first match (against the parents) and everything seemed to go well. We closed them down quickly enough and I made quite a few meaty tackles, particularly one on one of their better players who was quiet after that. We played some good passes forward and I managed to get a tap-in after our headmaster took a shot that might have been trickling in already had I left it, but I couldn't take a chance as there were players racing back. A few minutes later, we played some nice one-twos and our headmaster fed me in to the right of their penalty area. I aimed for the corner and was delighted that it hit the post and went in. Made a very satisfying sound. A tight angle, too! We struggled a bit more in the second half, particularly me who was starting to feel it in the legs a little bit and we did manage to concede a goal, but eventually saw it through to become winners. 2-1. With me getting both goals, including the winner. In the second game, we countered really well and our headmaster got two quick goals which were basically one on ones. We defended pretty well and I tried to get forward as much as I could to support him. We had a corner and I knew the ball was coming for me. But, before I could put my head on it, our headmaster chested the ball down with his back to goal and bicycle kicked it into the net to complete his hat-trick! It was unbelievable, one of the best goals I've ever seen and was totally not expected. The whole place erupted. Amazing scenes. We defended well after that and restricted them to few chances. However, they had a freekick with the ball coming in from our left. One of our guys jumped up with one of theirs and I wasn't sure they were going to get it, so I also went up to attempt a clearance. Had they left it, the ball would have gone far away. However, my luck had run out and there was a slight deflection from one of them which tapped it onto the back of my head, which saw the ball spin slowly into our bottom corner. A slight blemish on an otherwise good day. Still, we won the second game 3-1, which made us overall winners. If I didn't feel tired beforehand, I certainly do now.
  15. No hardware yet one game. That's a hell of an attachment rate. I'm tempted to play that again soon. Sooooon.
  16. I did not expect this to happen today...this isn't a good deal, it's a fucking incredible deal. We've managed to keep De Gea for at least another year and have managed to get one over/shove two fingers up to those scumbags at Madrid in the process, whilst they've pissed off their number one goalkeeper by making it perfectly clear to him that they want him out and De Gea in. Even if he goes next summer, that gives us a whole year to put something in place in terms of a replacement and it more or less guarantees us a decent fee. Can't wait to see him playing football again.
  17. I'm beginning to have doubts about getting this. Mainly because I don't know how I'm going to have the time to properly get into it. I thought I had it all sussed out with work and all, but we've got major, major roadworks down here in Bournemouth which is adding on an extra hour to my journey at both the start and end of each day...Fuck sake.
  18. Hey up, @Rummy. What do you think of Watch Dogs then?
  19. Yeah, but it's on a CD. That's....so 1998. It's all about Spotify now, blud. Can't even remember the last time I bought a CD. Yen is pretty hnnnnngg, too. Tbh, all of the women in this game are shag-worthy. Except for the Crones.
  20. You've got a ton of mileage left in the game then since you've not even visited what is my personal favourite region. Keira...hnnnggggg. My one true love in this game. My order is Keira, Yen, Triss. Team Keira crew 4 lyf. I've just discovered that the soundtrack to this game is on Spotify. Brb, listening to all of the Gwent tunes on loop.
  21. Following on from this, I had to give a talk about this new library system to EVERY member of staff in our school. As in, they basically stood in our library and listened to me explain why I'd been camped in there for days on end. Everything turned out alright, although my head of department only gave me about two days preparation time...which probably turned out to be for the best as I didn't have time to really panic about it. Everybody was really supportive and I've now got to train them up on the system. I got laughs in the right places and it didn't feel all that awkward. Fuck, it's much easier speaking to kids than adults!
  22. Have you been to Skellige yet? You sidequesting? Who have you sexed? How much Gwent have you played?
  23. Omg omg omg!! Does this contain all of the cards for both of those sets/decks? Or is it just a sample? If it contains all of the cards for both of those decks, I'm so INNNN. Hnnggggg, love me some Gwent. DLC is day 1 anyway for me. Can't wait. I've had a shit day at work and this has made me feel better. Hnnnngg.
  24. I had one of those days where I did what I needed to do, but it was a struggle to get there. Teaching and then lifting is exhausting. May have to start getting some more food in me as I feel I need to start eating more to compensate for that. Fucks sake. Why can't life be all "stay home, play games, lift weights" and then get paid a lot of money for doing that?
  25. Hmmm. Should I use my powers of invisibility for good or evil purposes?
