  1. Basic common sense is "where I'm getting that idea from". It's why it took a year and a half after the Switch launched for them to put classic games on. Anyway, cool, you think one thing, I think another.
  2. And yet. They’re drip feeding games. It’s basic business, and not at all as black and white like you suggest. They want people shelling out for new games, not having a hundred classics to play through instead. There’s only so many hours in the day for gaming.
  3. Good job adding the “only” and changing what I said to suit your argument.
  4. I can't wait for this gem to be available in 27 years. Hopefully sooner. https://romsmania.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/chameleon-twist-u-nintendo-64.jpg As I've mentioned previously, they don't want you playing and having access to 300+ games from 2 decades ago. They want you playing modern games that cost £40-70 each. It's basic business.
  5. It’ll be the first game added since the service launched 1 month and 15 days ago yes.

    Tunic

After seeing pretty much the same area of this game for years now, the rest of the game just blew my mind
  7. Looks fantastic, a bit disappointed that it's "early in development", guess it's a few years off. Pretty ballsy to set the game in the High Republic era given how tempting it must have been to do OT, but I'm here for it. Interesting that there doesn't seem to be any ships or characters from the books, although I could be mistaken on that. That logo is a beauty. Have you read the books yet? If not you need to jump onto the bandwagon, they're fantastic, book 3 out next month will finish off the opening trilogy.
  8. Good show overall, lots of new announcements, lots of trailers. Pace was pretty good. Star Wars Eclipse obviously the highlight for me, but otherwise I thought Tunic looked absolutely INCREDIBLE, same with Have a Nice Death. Nice to see more of Somerville. Tchia, a cross between Mario Odyssey and BOTW, yes please. If Planet of Lana is Inside-like, sign me up, looks fantastic. Star Trek Resurgence looks visually pretty terrible, but it might be good. Rumbleverse had a fun trailer, intrigued by that one. Just a shame we had that attention seeking idiot Josef Fares win GOTY.
  9. Yeah definitely looks interesting, though I fully expect the gameplay to be a bit of a let-down given previous 3D Sonic games' track record. Maybe this one will finally be decent. I wonder if it's true openworld or openworld-lite like Pokemon Arceus
  10. Fully deserved, fantastic game
  11. New trailer for The Book of Boba Fett I don't normally watch trailers beyond the first one but I figured this one wouldn't show too much, and so it proved
  12. Thanks that helps. It feels like A LOT of Spiderman, but if people enjoy it I guess that Across the Spider-verse is connected to the Miles Morales 'Into the Spider-verse' film. And Miles hasn't been in MCU yet I take it.
  13. As someone who's not seen any of the Spiderman films, I'm blown away by how many there are these days. And some are canon MCU but others aren't? And something about lots of Spidermen all joining together in the latest ones? It's all very confusing
  14. "But what will it mean to their bottom line!" The beauty of Game Pass is that Xbox's first party line-up are all on there day 1. That surely won't be the case for Playstation, though I suppose maybe it doesn't need to be quite as good and enticing as GP, something that's 'good enough' might do for them. PS Plus has been pretty terrible for a while now, so anything to make the service better would be welcome. The slow trickle of PS5 games doesn't help though tbf.
  15. This is a great video for anyone interested in animation: Nintendo games have been pretty on fire lately when it comes to animation. It feels like Nintendo putting importance into their usual polish and small details has been extended into animations now as well. Luigi's Mansion 3 was also excellent. Mercury Steam seem to have hired a ton more animators since Samus Returns.
  16. It's out of stock on Amazon atm, you need to get one from a third party supplier. Crazy to think that nearly five years later the RRP has gone down £20 in the UK and has stayed at full price in the US!
  17. Putting the bugs to one side, the actual content in the game seemed a little disappointing so to hear that there's a big update and expansion coming is good news for people like myself who decided to wait.
  18. On the one end of the scale you have the original trilogy, The Phantom Menace and The Last Jedi which make do with a small number of locations. On the other you have Revenge of the Sith and Rise of Skywalker that throw a million places at you. Especially the latter.
  19. Bit of a personal project of mine these past couple of years. I've created a set of Star Wars infographics, that show off exactly how long a particular location is on screen for. Been working on them on/off since Covid hit. Here's the main one but if anyone's interested, check out the full set: www.locationscreentime.com
  20. Fair enough on why it didn’t get nom’d, I hadn’t realised that. Putting aside personal opinions on the game for a second though, it’s the best reviewed game of the year by far. All the nominees are at 84-88 on MC, Forza is 92. I suppose it’ll be up for next year’s awards.
  21. I would laugh so hard if Ratchet ends up winning. I still can't believe it got nominated. A roguelike, third person shooter/adventure game? The latter two types of games are constantly getting nominated and just last year Hades got a nomination, so yeah. Forza Horizon 5, the best reviewed game of the year you could say didn't get a nom because of it's genre. Not Returnal.
  22. Pretty crazy that they included that tbf, though I guess it's probably just a fake letter typed up for this purpose. The spelling mistake on sentence one suggests as much lol.
  23. Very cool how the devs planned for sequence breaks like this (and plenty other easter eggs).
