You’re shifting the goal posts. You said Nintendo “take the easy route to success”. But innovating every generation is NOT the easy route. That would be iterating on traditional consoles each year upping the specs each gen and not much else. So the success of their hardware innovations/gimmicks has nothing to do with it. They are far from lazy. You remind me of Trump. Spout absolute nonsense whenever you open your mouth, then say “I’m really smart, other people are dumb”. So anyone who enjoys the Switch is simple minded now. Get a grip.

For me personally, I haven't touched the game in a week. I plan on going back to it soon but usually these big AAA games I can't put down until I finish them.

Lol, yes. Dual screen handhelds, stereoscopic 3D, motion controlling remotes, touch screen tablet controllers and a console/handheld hybrid. Clearly the signs of a lazy company doing things the easy way. Oh well. I don't think Nintendo will lose too much sleep, given the Switch is the fastest selling console in history in the US, not to mention their two Game of the Year titles last year.

Really impressed by the online service tbh, including small steps which went completely unannounced like finally letting you voice chat with randoms in games like MK8 and Splatoon (though why you would want to do that, is anybody's guess). The Gamexplain crew had some positive reactions to playing the NES games online, especially with low latency mode active. Also, the app really is ultra slick. All it needs is button mapping and maybe hiding the controls at the bottom of the screen and it'd be perfect. So much potential in a Netflix like service

I really can't figure out if I like this show or not. If the writing doesn't improve or they introduce more forced "representation" casting I'm probably out. The space visual effects need improving too. And the starship design (Eaves needs booting, it's long overdue). These shorts don't particularly peak my interest but the premise for season 2 is interesting enough at least.

It's probably the bright colouring too, which isn't helping. Doesn't really fit the design of most Star Wars ships. I suppose the engines on that blue/orange one look a bit like A-Wing engines, that's a start. I can definitely see the No Man's Sky similarity too now that you mention it.

My problem with Resistance is the spaceships they're using just don't really look like Star Wars ships. Can't quite put my finger on it.

I'm sure you won't rebuy it again, but it does make me laugh so many stories of people selling it to make a few quid then rebuying it a year later when there's a game they want, and ending up losing money overall.

You'll end up losing money when you buy it again later down the line, which is what happens to most people who sell their consoles early lol

Looking forward to Zelda II releasing, that's a game I play every few years start to finish. Also Wrecking Crew, but I can't really justify why Be interesting to see where this service will be in a couple of years. Will it be full of NES/SNES/N64 games and we'll still only be paying the same low price? If that's the case I'd have thought Nintendo would make more money by selling games individually for £5-10 like they did on Virtual Console.

@Hero-of-Time I know you watch Kinda Funny, so this is for you, or anyone who watches/listens to it too obviously... Do you find Kinda Funny content as totally unwatchable as I do since Jared joined them? I can't stand that man, I see him on a show and I just don't watch it. I find him that annoying. Lately it seems like he's on 95% of their videos and judging from how the Youtube comments have really turned on him lately, I don't think I'm the only one.

Does it block you from playing that particular game if someone else is playing it on another Switch, or it blocks you from playing your Switch full stop, for any game? If the former, that kind of makes sense doesn't it?

Yeah that's why I think if it matches sales of the NES/SNES they'll be pleased. I just don't think the quality is there, at least on games that'll likely be on the thing. I suspect the original Wipeout and Tomb Raider will be unplayable these days. Grinding to a complete halt when you hit the side of the track or a precise 3D platforming game without an analog stick don't sound too good by 2018 standards. Also apparently stock will be very limited in Japan so maybe they're copying Nintendo there too! Now just need to see if the cables will be short...

I don't think it's necessarily Gaf or ResetEra at fault exactly, it's just the byproduct of grouping a huge number of gamers (let's be real, generally speaking, hardly the most mature of communities) together in one place to voice their opinion.

I've been banned twice there for that sort of thing. Making a joke about how ludicrous and suffocating the whole "representation" and diversity culture is, and how utterly forced it feels. The thread about the Cyberpunk account making a "transphobic joke" was a train wreck. Gaf often jokes about the social justice warriors taking over on ResetEra. So yeah, neither particularly pleasant places but I still browse there as it's a good place for up to the minute news.
