Yikes. PSN Name Changes Can Make You Lose DLC, Save Game Data, And More If they can't do it right, twelve years on, they shouldn't do it at all.
-
There's an echo in here lol Anyway, finished this a few moments ago. Overall I thought it was pretty fantastic, they really modernised 8bit Mega Man, but kept the feel and gameplay intact. I've heard a few complaints about the game but really I'm not sure what else people were expecting in a game like this. Great fun, highly recommended. Looking forward to MM12

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm finding it a real chore to get through, but I'm going to force myself to finish it before Friday. I have a feeling that Red Dead is going to do this game no favours in hindsight though. It'll make Spidey's openworld structure look even more dated than it already feels. Having said that the gameplay itself is pretty fun, and I feel more compelled to finish every fetch quest than I have in most openworld games.

Crazy how almost half a terrabyte can fit on that tiny little thing.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4/Xbox One - 26 October 2018)

I can't decide between physical or digital either. What I want to know is if all the content is already on people's consoles, how have hackers not managed to unlock preloads by now. Given how careful Rockstar are being making sure there are no early copies sent or leaks, I'm surprised they're allowing people to preload the game, but I guess if they've never been broken into before it must be pretty safe. -
Having said all that, this place got pretty busy during some of the bigger releases like Zelda, Mario, Splatoon and even some of the bigger eShop titles. Not a huge crowd but plenty of chat.

Totally agree, love this approach but sadly wouldn't work for most publishers -

Are Rockstar relying purely on hype for this game? I only ask because the launch trailer wasn’t up to much and if the campaign really is 60 hours long then they’ve barely shown anything of it. I guess they’re one of the few devs who can get away with it on reputation alone, but it’s interesting how little we’ve seen of this game. -
Cannot thank you enough. Looks like I just made it, £405 white X with Forza. Thank you!!
-
Yeah I’ll look into Game Pass. I imagine Forza is something I’ll want to have a copy of no matter but but yeah the service seems fantastic from what I’ve seen. I kind of want the white X though so may see if I can find that cheap somewhere with forza.

This place wasn’t exactly the most pleasant during the Wii U years, that’s probably a big reason. That and social media taking over the world.

Anyone who has an Xbox One... does the game disk still need to be in the console to play games or is it just for the install? I figured it would be like PS4 where you need the disk in to play the game but Google says no? Trying to decide whether to go physical or digital for Forza but if the disk is only for installs then Xbox seems to have the best of both worlds In that regard ?

It's a more a case of... games have never been cheaper than they are now (thanks to inflation) yet cost 10x more to make than in the old days. It's sadly the world we live in, publishers have to find ways of funding their game and no one wants to raise the base cost of a game, so we get DLC/Special editions/microtransactions/season passes. It's either that or base games get more expensive. Obviously some publishers get it right, and others (like EA and Battlefront, yikes) get it horribly wrong. Glancing at the above, nothing there seems must-have so if diehard fans want the "complete" Red Dead experience, let them have it, certainly don't think it should be making anyone physically sick over -

Not sure you can call out teenagers, a few sentences after using a "your mother likes cock" joke... -
The prequels served as a big warning sign to rely too much on CG at their own peril. Revenge of the Sith in particular was just ridiculous, the amount of CG in that Order 66 sequence in particular was ridiculous. In terms of the production design on the sequels though I was meaning less their choice to use real things vs CG (but that was also a great move) and more the design of things themselves. They absolutely nailed the aesthetic of the original trilogy and design wise, the tech is just ridiculous cool. I love Han's speeder design in Solo for example or the bombers and Snoke's guards in Last Jedi etc. and the props like blasters or hallways or clothing. All fantastic. It's a huge part of what makes Star Wars so special to me. The only thing I wasn't so keen on was the overall grading of Solo, I get that they were going for a flat, washed out look, but they took it way too far IMO.

We've seen three photos from it and I'm already loving the look of the Madalorian. That's been a real strong point of Disney Star Wars, the production design is absolutely fantastic

I’ll be buying an X in the next week or so. I’ve been really impressed by Xbox this gen (apart from exclusives obv) and I’m keen to jump in and play things like Forza Horizon, Ori, Cuphead, AC, Read Dead etc on it. Just need to find a decent price for it...

PSN still leading the way, as per.

No one’s schooled me. Least of all you. Stop being so needlessly rude. The whole situation hasn’t been helped by Sony’s strangely muted or dismissive tone.
-
No idea. I just quoted one of the many tweets I saw complaining about PS’s fix and/or dismissive tone. Glad it works for most people though. I switched my messages to private just to be sure.
-
OMG @Hero-of-Time is back! Where you been As for the game. I’m in a similar situation as you. I was very tempted by the game but I’m not really in a position to have mates or family down often enough for it to be worthwhile, so didn’t buy it.

Yeah the cutscenes with Fox and co look fantastic tbf, definitely making the Switch-exclusive content stand out. The game itself seems to have a lot more depth and stretegy involved than I first thought. -
That's just it, from what you understand. It's confusing a ton of people, and it would be nice if Playstation actually acknowledged this hack without being dismissive and was clear in how to manage it. Some people can't seem to get into Safe Mode to rebuild.

Making you need to factory reset your PS4 isn't a big deal? The replies to that post aren't exactly the most flattering. Loads of people with consoles that still need a reset because of it, and Sony's aloofness about the whole thing has rubbed them up the wrong way. Oh well.
