  1. ResetEra has a ton of problems, but that particular thread seems pretty fair to me.
  2. I like the bits on the sides, but the button input text underneath is dumb, they really need to give us a way of hiding that.
  3. You won't be able to do that I don't think. The game is made so that you do all (or a few) chapter 1s first, then move on to all the chapter 2s etc
  4. My god, it's really not a big deal, I think the Playstation Classic will be a great product, probably executed well and it'll sell loads. But yes, everything is copied these days. I (and it seems many others, elsewhere, obv) just found it funny to see how blatant they were at ripping Nintendo off. Almost to Playstation All Stars Battle Royale and Playstation Move levels, but not quite. Anyone who doesn't think they were at least partly inspired by the huge sales of the NES and SNES classics are deluding themselves. Anyway....
  5. Glad you're enjoying it. I went back to the Mantis Lords much later in the game when I'd gotten a few more upgrades, but as with pretty much every boss in the game, just learn the patterns and concentrate on evading
  6. Some of those Famicom box arts are pretty nice
  7. What, him saying "copying is good because the chance of you coming up with something original people want is low"? Yeah. I ignored that. Like I said, which you ignored, I'm not criticising the copycat-ing, I just found it hilarious. Especially as they picked the same name, and the same press photo. But it looks a cool product and I'll probably pick one up. Just for the hardware itself though, I don't really have much fond memories of the PS1 tbh. Probably my least favourite console.
  8. The latter has nothing to do with criticising the blatant copycatting. If it sells half as well as the NES/SNES Classics, Sony will be pretty pleased. Meanwhile... Touché
  9. I won't hear a bad word said against Ice Climber. But you're right
  10. Waiting to see what the other 15 games are. Weird to open pre-orders before you've even announced what's on the thing! If those five are the most compelling it's got then I probably won't bother.
  11. Very easy to back up and/or download cloud data. easy UI. All my games apart from Splatoon support it. Suspect it'll just be the highly competitive ones that won't.
  12. I don't actually remember playing that many PS1 games tbh. I remember Wipeout and Wipeout 2097, Fade to Black and Shockwave Assault. I know I had way more but I can't really remember what. Oh yeah the Die Hard games were fun.
  13. Eurogamer on the ball I'm not saying it's a terrible thing, I'm sure it'll be a cool (if crazy overpriced) product and that's all that matters... I just laughed out loud when I saw it.
  14. I'm going to assume that's referring to me. I know Nintendo didn't invent mini consoles, it's just funny given the timing, and how Playstation has a history of copying anything Nintendo does. Even the name and promo shot are identical! Would they have done this if the NES Classic and SNES Classic never came out? I'm not so sure.
  15. Love the UI of the NES app, especially being able to reorder the box arts and have some be bigger than others etc. Very slick. The only thing negative is having that Select = -, Start = + thing at the bottom of every game. Hope they patch that out, cause it's really distracting. Used my Gold points for the Switch online service, ended up costing £13.70 for the year, lol.
  16. As usual, Sony does what Nintendoes It's a bit weird how they aren't revealing the full line up. Also, £90?
  17. Wow https://twitter.com/nintendoamerica/status/600769151137927170
  18. Yep was just about to say that. I'm actually quite surprised they're allowing that, seems too good to be true.
  19. I guess because they've only ever spoken about free NES games since then. And it feels like a long time ago since they mentioned SNES.
  20. I've no idea how much "in game items and 1000 V bucks" are worth. I keep being tempted to get into Fortnite on Switch but I imagine I'm prob too late now.
  21. This'll sell a few. First time Nintendo have done a bundle for a third party game?
  22. It's quite an obscure one but I'm really excited to dive into Soloman's Key when they add it in October. I played a ton of that game growing up. I really suspect the level design will hold up today too. Data miners have uncovered SNES games are on the way apparently. Super Mario Kart with added online sounds fun. If nothing else just to see if they're going to recreate the games menus to fit the online stuff in.
