Fallout 76, Battlefield V, Anthem, Division 2 etc are all £60, because that's the norm for big releases, on any platform.
-
£60 is what the majority of big games cost digitally these days, on any platform.
-
I have to say that's a little unfair given how much content is in the game. Most if not all of the character models have been improved and it's a brand new engine running the game. They're charging full price because it's a full price game and one of their major tentpoles.

Now I want Chain Chomp...

Gamexplain summarised a walkthrough Sakurai apparently gave of the main menu.

I am too, but then again... that box art... Beautiful

Exactly, and by the time they're done with next year's titles, it'll be about nearly time for another Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart etc. as well Also, just because all their big teams are now only working on a single platform doesn't mean the output should be doubled. 1080p Switch games are a lot harder to develop than 3DS games after all so it doesn't really work like that. -

Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, 2D Mario and Metroid aren't big hitters? Interesting. Gen 8 Pokemon is a 2019 game. Bayonetta, Retro's game, Yoshi, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin etc - I've no idea how you think they have a lack of games coming. Not everything can be as big and iconic as Mario, Zelda or Mario Kart. And using the same tired third party argument, really? When was the last time a console of theirs had Red Dead Redemption type games? Nintendo had an amazing 2017, a quiet 2018 (Smash apart) and look to have a brilliant 2019. I totally get people being disappointed with this year's line-up, it's allowed me to dust off my PS4 and play some other stuff in the mean time, but you can't argue they don't have games coming next year. And that's just stuff we know about. -
The Pirahna plant amiibo looked great, definitely picking that one up

2019 for Switch has Luigi's Mansion 3, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Pokemon Gen 8, Yoshi's Crafted World and Daemon x Machina, that we know of. Then throw in NSMBUD, Metroid Prime 4, Star Fox Grand Prix/Retro's project, Pikmin 4 that Miyamoto often talks about, and whatever else that's left to be announced. And that's just first party wise. Then things like Bayonetta 3 and there's still rumours of anothere Direct before the end of the year + their usual Game Awards showing. 2018 has been much slower compared to the insane 2017, but next year looks a return to form. Especially with Smash keeping us busy for a good chunk of it as well. Great time to be a Nintendo fan imo. -
Kirby as the most powerful being in gaming, confirmed.

I got the impression Pirahna Plant wasn't one of the DLC packs, but it's not very clear. They said they would start working on the DLC after release, so it probably isn't. Amazing visuals in that cutscene. I know Sakurai said it wasn't as story heavy as Subspace Emissary but I really hope there'll be a few more cutscenes throughout that mode. Just a shame the world maps look ugly a f

As much I enjoy the Treehouse segment, without fail, every single transition into them from a hype trailer brings the pace CRASHING back down to Earth

Wow. That World of Light trailer looked amazing!!

Gaming Podcasts: A Thread about Listening to Others
Ronnie replied to Goron_3's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Tried listening to EZA a while back but just couldn't last long. I'm enjoying Gamexplain a lot these days, always great to listen to those guys, particularly when Andre is hosting. Total Nintendo fanboys but they do great work so get a pass. Still listening to Kinda Funny (whenever Jared isn't on) a lot. + Game Scoop and NVC and the occasional Beyond or Unlocked. -
I don't think it will tbh but who knows, 20 million is a lot to sell in 12 months. I can imagine 15 or so is more likely.
-
At first I was like, why do they have to reveal everything about a game before release. Then I realised, news of any unannounced new characters would be all over the internet about 32 minutes after the game releases (or more likely a few days before) so they might as well announce ahead of time and make a big fuss.

Oh and

Do we normally get a Nov/Dec one? I always thought it was September and then January till the next next main one, with the latter being a pretty meaty and outlining the rest of the year. Definitely expecting a Smash Direct but I'd be surprised if we got a main one as well. Pleasantly surprised mind.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4/Xbox One - 26 October 2018)
Ronnie replied to Sheikah's topic in Other Consoles
Tips wise, remember to use your binoculars if you're trying to hunt perfect pelts. You can check what quality the animal is before you hunt it. Apparently there's also info you can learn about which weapon works best to get a perfect pelt. Sounds like you and I are at the same place. Did you loot money that was lying around in the camp after the mission and suddenly became Wanted? I kind of feel like I missed out on a lot of good stuff because of that. I did a fun one after that with Charles, which made me really appreciate the scenery.
