Try and give a vague indication as to the type of level it is. With screenshots if you like. Google Doc done by @Vileplume2000 showing all the levels posted here so far: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aSHgT7Zt5npKsmLTe0oJ0V0WPLup0ZCTtOfB1kp3hio/edit#gid=0

i lol'd at "Iffy dialogue" being a negative in a stage-creating 2D Mario game, don't see that every day
-
Hmm, I guess so. I just remember it taking like 10 games just to afford one product

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening REMAKE — 20th September 2019
Ronnie replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Link amiibo now on Nintendo online store + The Collector's Edition with a red or blue Ruppee lamp for £5 more GO GO GO! https://store.nintendo.co.uk/games/nintendo-switch/the-legend-of-zelda-links-awakening.list -
They've been doing much better for years now, by putting physical items with every first party game if you order through them. I much prefer that to having to buy a dozen games just to get a set of coasters. Obviously it's nice they're giving out physical stuff for platinium/gold coins too but I haven't missed the Club Nintendo days.

It’s fine it was probably a silly suggestion. I was just thinking back to the thread last time and how it got flooded so easily and how hard it was to stand out. I could be wrong but I think you’re misunderstanding my suggestion. The thread could have 12 posts made in one day, but they’d come from 12 different people. But it’s fine. Like I said prob a silly idea
-
Absolutely, I just think they'd rather have their names attached to a game that sold a ton and have their work appreciated by as many people as possible.
-
The other thing is, I don't think not buying a game sends the right message sadly. I'm sure the hard working developers behind Red Dead would have prefered you to buy the game and enjoy what they spent so long working on. Same with Nintendo, if crunch ever happened there, I'm sure the devs there would be sad that all their hard work meant reduced sales. Sadly crunch happens everywhere, not just in games. The way to combat it isn't to make the people enforcing it poorer. At least IMO.
-
That's fine? I'm just saying one course per poster per day, or maybe two per person, whatever. Just to stop the thread being flooded and for the occasional course maker to get drowned out. But like I said, just a suggestion.
-
It'd be good to set up a thread where we can share our course IDs for SMM2. I think there was one for the Wii U game. This is probably going to be an unpopular suggestion, but can I suggest maybe limiting it to 1 course/post per person per day? That way it keeps the quality up and gives everyone a chance to shine. Awaits incoming barage...

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (November 15th 2019)
Ronnie replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
Worth a read: Open letter from the Game Director + 25 mins of gameplay I'm not watching personally, want to go in as spoiler free as possible, but for anyone curious about the structure of the game... It's nice to see devs so open about inspirations and not be so close-minded when talking about their game. Stig mentions Metroid, Castevania and the Souls games in the above link. -
Just 100%'d Ori and the Blind Forest (except for that no dying run, F that). Fantastic. The movement and traversal is amazing once you've unlocked most of the skills, just a joy to play through. Can't wait of the sequel, looks even more lovely.
-
Nice one. Might be worth going exploring a bit if you're struggling, I remember getting 2 or 3 extra hearts at the beginning and that was a big help. Save your gems and buy any heart pieces at each game over for instance. Eventually the beat and enemy attacks really do become second nature and you'll be running around with no trouble taking anything out and barely ever dying. Game feels amazing at times like this.

Surprised to hear you say that, I've always thought the Digital Foundry guys have a real soft spot for Nintendo. They often sing the Switches praises, at least when it comes to first party releases. They did a little bit on Luigi's Mansion 3 but I guess without having direct access to gameplay footage they couldn't do an Animal Crossing one. But yeah I guess they do more PC stuff cause there's just more games available to analyse. And as for AC, I'll watch the Gamexplain vid later. The great thing is the game looks good now and is only going to look better in nine () months
-
Noooo, stick with it a bit longer. I sort of wish that fixed beat mode was only unlocked half way through or something. It's a real shame so many people ditch the main mechanic of the game so early.
-
Definitely makes it easier to Platinum, or whatever t f the Xbox equivalent is
-
Currently playing through Ori and the Blind Forest, loving it even though it's a lot more linear than most Metroidvanias (you'll never get lost) and it handholds you through the collectibles.
-
D'oh! Two freebies was too much for them Thanks
-
How do you get the stylus if you go digital? Am I right in thinking that you need to pre-order the version with the 12 month online plan to get the stylus? And that that version doesn't let you redeem their vouchers?
-
People love this game, but it never really clicked for me even after finishing it. The art is beautiful though, but the story just made no sense to me. Not that I was trying that hard to understand it but it seemed OTT obtuse and metaphorical. Combat encounters were pretty fun though
-
I was ready to complain about the insane amount of CG trailers at this year's E3 (Nintendo and EA, apart), but then I spotted a thread on ResetEra that suggested it's down to devs and publishers getting fed up with the usual "pffft DOWNGRADE!" comments when a game releases. Makes total sense, why bother putting yourself through that. Obviously don't exaggerate visuals in the first place but I'm sure late in the day optimisation means these things happen.
-
Shamelessly stolen thread idea from ResetEra. Kept it to ten entries, so obviously other Metroid games miss out for example. Didn't include Dead Cells cause I don't really consider it a Metroidvania. The choices are open to interpretation whether you consider them the "best" or your "favourite", always a tricky distinction. Feel free to list top 3 if you'd like, but more importantly what is it about your choice(s) you like? (apologies for the thread title )

Between this getting restarted from scratch and Retro's general lack of anything in 5-6 years it seems like a big waste of resources. Credit to Nintendo for not shipping subpar games though, especially in a franchise that's kind of on thin ice.
-
Thanks will give it a watch later. The game certainly seems to be something special. Still put off by the first person perspective but I'll put up with it, everything else sounds amazing. After RDR2 I was wondering what the next BIG ambitious, top quality game would be, and this looks to be it.
