  1. To add to the crunch at Nintendo chat on the previous page From IGN
  2. Luigi's Mansion 3 looking fantastic on Treehouse. I thought it looked really rough when it was first announced, but the visuals and gameplay look lovely here.
  3. Unbelievable!!! Mario Maker 2 on Treehouse, Tezuka opens saying that they're making changes to how people can play together online. The suggestion being they're changing the "no online with friends" thing. Then the Treehouse rep (forgot her name) cuts in complaining she just missed the 50 coin as she was playing. Then completely changes the subject saying it's nice you can play on the title screen, instead of letting Tezuka continue and tell us more!
  4. The story in BOTW suggested Link and Zelda had only recently been acquainted, doubt they'd have gone on this big adventure beforehand. Plus you know, they called it a sequel
  5. At least we're agreed it's always been openword.
  6. A Link to the Past... go anywhere, do dungeons in whatever order you want. Wind Waker... go anywhere, do dungeons in any order Majora's Mask... 72 hours, go wherever you want, do whatever you want A Link Between Worlds... go anywhere, do dungeons in any order Link's Awakening... go anywhere, do dungeons in any order And LOZ, and Breath of the Wild, and Zelda II and, and... Zelda has always been about go anywhere, open exploration, so of course this one will be too.
  7. Yeah was expecting a £15 ish price tag. 22 is fine by me if it means a meatier experience. The trailer looked great. Apart from Link's cutscene character model. That was nightmare material
  8. Link's Awakening next on Treehouse Live
  9. Animal Crossing looks nice on Treehouse, did I hear correctly that there are two areas, not just this island you're building up? Could be mistaken, trying to watch/listen/post and trawl online for news lol
  10. It was really well paced too, game after game, very few went on too long and just the right amount of chat. Funny intro for Doug Bowser too
  11. Exaaaaactly. I don't mean to judge but she gets weirder looking every year, she even sounds completely different!
  12. Of course it'll be openworld, just like every other game in the franchise apart from Skyward Sword and the DS ones (commonly considered the three worst games in the series). Sorry I don't want to dampen the mood but Nintendo were almost universally praised for their openworld a couple of years ago.
  13. Nintendo youtube That always struck me as more of a regular Direct kind of announcement tbh, or even at the same time as their new mini/Pro hardware revisions.
  14. The Pokemon part of Treehouse is always so loooooooooonngg
  15. Quick thoughts: - With the castle taking off I wonder (pray) if there's a new area to explore? It would be a massive shame to re-use the same overworld, even changed somewhat. - Zelda's elephant seems to be carrying plenty of supplies including building supplies like planks of wood. hmmm... - One big thing missing from BOTW was a spooky area, this seems to satisfy that and then some! - Biggest hot take of all... Zelda's cut her hair !!! I look forward to the Gamexplain team's two hour long analysis.
  16. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. WTF is going on over there
  17. Great Direct, E3 2019 saved! Definite Majora's Mask vibes from the BOTW2 teaser!
  18. HOLY FUCK. Was not expecting a tease this year. Think I read Schreier or some such talk about BOTW sequel being a 2020 game.
  19. People like to laugh at Xbox a lot but they've made some great moves this generation since stumbling at release. Backwards compatibility, Game Pass, tons of new studios, xCloud, the Elite controller, Xbox One X etc etc. Meanwhile apart from games, Sony have sat on their hands, released a pointless Pro model, a terrible mini console rip off, and kind of... maybe... not really...? let you change usernames. PS+ gets worse each year and they've pretty much abandoned indie games, or at least promoting them. I'm not a fan of Inside Xbox but at least it's trying to do it's own thing. Playstation Direct State of Play is boring and yet another blatant rip off. The games don't speak to me but I'm personally cheering for Xbox, especially since my PS4 has been gathering dust since Spider Man. It's make or break for them next year though, that'll be when we see what their new console is and what their new teams have been up to. E3 2019 was never going to be "their year".
  20. Oh it's certainly watchable, I just meant it doesn't seem like a half-the-conference thing like Smash was last year.
  21. Animal Crossing doesn't seem the type of game that demos particularly well though, so even if it is their big game I'm not sure they'll spend that much time on it. Same reason it's (probably?) not on the show floor, it's not really something you can fall in love with from a demo.
