  1. Aonuma suggesting he wanted to see more of the same world so they made a sequel, so wouldn't get your hopes up on a brand new area to explore. Sadly. I feel like new openworlds in Zelda games is becoming rarer and rarer. Skyward Sword didn't give us one and ALBW re-used the one from ALTTP, then Link's Awakening Remake...
  2. A bit weird how the stats pop up after every attack. I feel like this is the kind of game that I'll play a third of the way through and then just get bored and stop playing. Similar to Octopath
  3. OMG 30fps!!!!! DISASTER!!!!! I will say though it's a little jarring how Link is locked to 8 directions, looks a little weird
  4. This indoor section looks better at least
  5. Watching as well, was just coming on to say the game itself looks really fun. I had no idea Fire Emblem games were like this outside of the battles. Hadn't really noticed the rough character models but now that you mention it...
  6. Hmmm I really hope they add Animal Crossing eventually, I'll definitely use the service then. May as well, you're saving £16 which is more or less the cost of a year of Nintendo online!
  7. Who fucked up the design of Pac-Man? He's literally a circle with a mouth? tbf, it was a tv show a few years back
  8. Nice preview here from IGN, who saw gameplay It's weird, the Ubi conference made it seem like this game was a couple of years away from release, but no, it's out in 8 months lol (Also on PS4/Xbox One/PC)
  9. I'm not sure how much depth the dungeon maker thing will have, but it's a neat addition. Definitely think we could see a Zelda Maker in the future, that would be incredible. LOZ, ALTTP, Link's Awakening Remake, Minish Cap and A Link Between Worlds art styles? Also (if you can bear Audrey)
  10. And with nine months still to wait, there'll be plenty more to show off. They do the usual high level concept in the reveal, then build on top of that in future updates, and there's at least a couple of Directs worth before release. Nintendo are the masters of detail and polish. Especially these past couple of gens. Visually I think it looks lovely, the only thing I don't like is the sea animation on the beach but I'm sure that'll improve. The rivers look lovely, and I think the animations have been sped up a bit. UI looks nice too, much better than New Leaf.
  11. I like how it's not the godawful Nuts and Bolts design Leave it to Nintendo to design characters properly, Banjo, Mega Man, Sonic, Pac Man, Simon Belmont..
  12. I really hope not. Slippery slope if companies start listening to gamers with their pitchforks demanding changes.
  13. I figured you'd ignore any evidence to the contrary. I've no reason to disbelieve Doug Bowser's more recent quote for one moment. He's specifically talking about game development, and the recent delaying of Animal Crossing doesn't point to overworked devs.

  17. Have to admit, I wasn't keen on the game but watching the Treehouse, it does look like a lot of fun, if a little janky (like most Platinum games are). Oh and +1 re: the horrible box art.
  18. Really, I got the impression the opposite was true, people being more and more disappointed by PS+ games on offer. Especially nowadays when you compare it to an amazing service like Game Pass. Oh absolutely. I'm just saying the moves Xbox are making, don't deserve the ridicule they get, quite the opposite in fact.
