  1. The Switch itself is what the Wii U should have been, but the tech wasn't available at the time. You might be waiting a while, given we're only two years in: Nintendo wants to ‘prolong the life cycle’ of the Switch beyond six years What do you mean by this? Why wouldn't it interest you that a console is two years old and has a ton of great games? I would have thought that more appealing, than something that releases and barely has much at launch. It got a BIG single player dlc campaign, in addition to the single player that's already there.
  2. The Splatoon theme, as in the music, is so catchy. The theme is nice too. I’m pretty heartbroken to have missed out on the GB Tetris theme though
  3. Make it easy for you in what way, to be wrong? You do that all on your own If you're going to list a bunch of things you're missing, at least be fair and list the things you are getting. And when I said better resolution, I meant a sharper picture. Same res in a smaller screen = more pixels per inch.
  4. I think even that is completely unrealistic. £150... a whole £130 cheaper than the original? That's not how the comsumer electronics business works.
  5. And, of course, in the interest of fairness, things that you are getting on the Lite: - Lighter - Better battery life - Higher resolution screen - Sturdier - More pocketable size - A D-Pad It’s very easy to say, Wait a sec! Nintendo are charging £70 for the dock and £80 for joycon and we’re not getting either of those, the Lite should be £50-75, tops!! But the reality is a little bit more nuanced.
  6. A JRPG in a fantasy setting. Shocker. A Nintendo Direct in September and one next year. Double shocker.
  7. By that logic the Switch Lite should be priced £50. Come on. It doesn't work like that.
  8. It is fine. You know what entitled gamers are like, always wanting everything for nothing or unrealistically dirt cheap.
  9. I'm talking about new customers. New customers don't have lots of joy cons. If the Lite connnected to a tv, why would anyone looking to get their first Switch buy the OG model when you can buy a smaller, lighter, sturdier, better battery life model that does the exact same thing (except for table top mode) for £80 cheaper? HD Rumble isn't that much of a selling point.
  10. Business decision. The OG Switch is supposed to be the superior product that can do it all. If the Lite connected to a tv... no one would buy the OG Switch. What would be the point?
  11. It makes complete sense. The OG Switch is supposed to be the superior product that can do it all. If the Lite connected to a tv... again, no one would buy the OG Switch. What would be the point?
  12. Maybe when sales slow down I guess. They're doing things like a bundle at the moment where you get it for £280 but it comes with £30 of eShop credit. Rumours have always been two models, one Lite one Pro, with the Pro releasing in 2020 and replacing the current version.
  13. I was replying to @Aneres11, just forgot to quote him.
  14. If they sold it at £150, no one would buy the original Switch and they'd canabilise their entire concept.
  15. Wall Street Journal started the rumour and they've been on the money for Switch rumours. Of course Nintendo are going to iterate and release a better version, it's what they do.
  16. The X released 4 years into the Xbox One life. The Pro, 3 years into PS4. We're currently 2 years into the Switch. Nintendo are supposedly going both routes, with the Lite releasing first.
  17. But it's done for usability reasons. Try playing Xenoblade 2 on your mocked up Switch, you just wouldn't be able to.
  18. That's absolutely key. If they can nail transfering saves between devices, and make it quick and easy, then I'll pick up a Lite.
  19. Not for a while, makes no sense to reveal it now or anywhere close to the Lite's release.
  20. Hands on impressions from the Verge: https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2019/7/10/20687801/nintendo-switch-lite-price-release-date-size-battery-life-motion-control-games
  21. Where's that "It prints money" gif... Pokemon special edition announced See I'd buy that one if it didn't have the ugly Pokemon designs on the back
  22. Main thing for me is if you have this and the regular Switch how likely save data will sync between the two.
  23. $199 confirmed, so probably like £189/199 over here or something like that.
