  1. Nice! What sort of price I wonder, $199/£199? I have to say though, it doesn't look that much smaller than the current Switch. I guess ergonomics factored in there, any smaller and it wouldn't be comfortable to use maybe.
  2. The game is a lot of fun, up to level 30 so far, haven't felt the need to pay anything.
  3. Nice! Also Wrecking Crew is awesome, played that one a ton as a kid
  4. You don't need to search for anything, Nintendo game content will just appear in people's timeline if they're following the person who made the tweet/has a Switch. It spreads word of mouth far better for Nintendo than talking about it to a bunch of people who already own the game/system. Oh I agree completely, Miiverse was great and had plenty of uses. I just think from a business pov, Twitter/Facebook make more sense.
  5. They ditched Miiverse because they wanted people to post about their games on Twitter/Facebook and spread word of mouth there, instead of the closed echo chamber of Nintendo fans on Miiverse who already bought their game. It's a huge shame though, Miiverse was great
  6. I misread if that's the case then, fair enough
  7. This part sounds most interesting. Otherwise just increasing attack/defence stats seems a bit mindless like you say buffing weaker ones sounds like a good strategy, problem is I suspect a lot of people want to see the powerful ones get even more powerful. Just seems weird they keep introducing things, then ditching them, then replacing them with something similar but a different name. It'd drive my OCD crazy if I was a Pokemon fan.
  8. Hardly a rare moment. Miiverse just one example in a long list of times they've been ahead of the competition... - Controller innovation (Rumble, speakers, analog sticks/triggers, shoulder buttons) - the whole Switch concept - Nintendo Direct - Gold points loyatly scheme - A fighting game with all your characters - 3D - Motion controls - Classic consoles (at least compared to Sony and MS) - Avatars - Streetpass - Family gaming - Handheld consoles Hell even the Satellaview, the original Games as Service concept! Nintendo are ahead of the curve in a huge number of ways. But yeah, their voice chat and online messaging systems aren't great.
  9. Now Xbox on the other hand, they better hurry the f up and enter the race so I can play Elite Dangerous in VR, it feels like the game the platform was made for.
  10. Out of curiosity what do all these mega evolutions, gigantamaxing, dynamixing, Z-Moves, G Max Moves etc actually do from a gameplay POV? Is it just the same moves as normal but slightly more powerful attack values or is it more interesting than that?
  11. You can't fall behind in a race you never entered. They don't see VR as a priority or even as a core business at this moment in time. Fine by me, I much prefer them to concentrate on standard games.
  12. That whole paragraph reads like a trainwreck. All sounds like pointless fluff (with terrible names, Gigantamax? G-Max Move?)
  13. Could they have maybe spent more than 2 minutes on the box art?
  14. Apologies for the 5 year bump but I've just started playing this off Game Pass. I'm absolutely loving it, so much fun!! I'm actually only 4-5 missions in but I've just spent the whole time doing all the collectibles in the first area. The gameplay is crazy satisfying, Insomniac certainly know what they're doing in that department. The style, visuals, dialogue, everything is just lovely. Love the comic book style/Scott Pilgrim explosion text. The character customisation is insane and it's so much fun experimenting with the various weapons. Negatives, I guess it at times feels like an early gen openworld game in the same way Infamous did, but otherwise, I'm having a blast.
  15. I thought it was one of the best aspects of BOTW, there were tons of weapons lying around and it was fun to keep using different ones. I never ran out in 150 hours of playtime.
  16. @Glen-i Spelunking is great too, though I can't find the fourth coin... will try again now...
  17. @Glen-i I enjoyed Unfinished Castle a lot until it got to the snake part, I think we're just so used to getting on these platforms I tried for ages to climb up that way till I realised you had to wall jump on the side. Also the conveyor belts later on screw you up if you throw more than 1 block, as I did. Just small usability things but overall very enjoyable.
  18. Decided to forget Shadow of the Tomb Raider, I'll play that another time. Installing Sunset Overdrive, that might satisfy the mindless openworld itch I've got atm. Odyssey was just too exhausting to attempt. If the game had a quarter of the content and improved what was there, I'd be all in.
  19. This is a nice video highlighting some creators to follow
  20. I loved stumbling on that village. I thought I'd seen so much of the game in previews etc so to come across a brand new village in the middle of nowhere was great
  21. Anyone played Moonlighter? Any good? Is it a time sink or a short-ish experience?
  22. (another Daemon x Machina trailer to put on mute. Seriously, is the whole game going to be full of this noise?)
  23. 4th level of mine, same as before, tried to make it feel like a standard Mario level. Lava Lair - G35 - 851 - 64G Enjoy! (hopefully)
