  1. Everyone seems to have forgotten the days when Friedel was a laughing stock at Liverpool and was shipped off to Turkey. In those days he made Taibi look class.
  2. Idiotic comment. To think you once had a go at me for knowing nothing about football. Eerily similar to Wolves game. Should have been killed off in the first half. Red card changed the game, can't really complain about the decision.
  3. Are Liverpool in the top 8? Knew i'd forget one.
  4. Brilliant. Only one side in the top 8 that actually managed to win. Even more incredible when you consider the majority of the teams being faced weren't anything great.
  5. The top teams and Spurs all still have to visit the Emirates, hopefully this will be a good thing. Thought Arshavin had a decent game yesterday. He's not been at the races for a long time but with the sort of player he is, he's never going to be a factor if he's only getting one start here and there and is playing 15 minutes in any other game. I absolutely can't wait to see us linked with so many world class players and end up with none for the next 30 days
  6. It's from a TV show called Harry's Law / The characters she plays is mentally unstable and genuinely believes she's Wonder Woman / It's real in the sense it's TV, obviously Erica Durance isn't Wonder Woman (or is she?)
  7. I think the 'playing in short bursts' angle is completely irrelevant. You as the gamer and the person in control dictate how long you want to play it for. Years of terrible marketing and PR have some how managed to spin games with short levels and a more arcade like feel into being some sort of cool feature.
  8. It's a fairly depressive album to be fair, better than their last effort I thought. Particularly like 'New York' and 'The President'. Been listening to one of my all time favourite albums a lot recently, Affirmation by Savage Garden. They're a band that's probably unique in the sense there's nothing else like them in my music collection. I grew up listening to that album whilst playing Shenmue on the Dreamcast all those years ago. There's not a song that I don't adore or know the words line by line. They went out right at the peak of their fame because one of them didn't want the limelight and the other wouldn't carry on without him. In the fame hungry world that we now live in, it's refreshing to look back and see that wasn't everything for some people.
  9. Depends on what I'm doing really. If i'm just generally browsing then i'll normally just stay in one window. If i'm looking for something or doing research or work, i'll have quite a few open.
  10. Anyone caught a TV show called Rookie Blue? I think it airs on the Universal channel on Sky over here. It's set in Toronto and follows 5 rookies who join the Police. I've seen the first few episodes and it's good. Not the usual police show, more character based.
  11. A great chance to make up some ground this round of fixtures and we failed. Sigh.
  12. Apologies for the delay, i've been enjoying the holidays in the real world. Hope you both had jolly fun days and all that jazz.
  13. A little late to the party but I received: Beats by Dre Tour earphones The Rock Says Autobiography An excellent book on Canada Captain America on Blu Ray Battle: Los Angeles on Blu Ray Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 on Blu Ray I also got the usual stocking fillers and a decent haul in cash.
  14. I think it says a lot for where the team is at presently. Fixtures such as Wigan away and today are games where we have historically slipped up in. Tonight we were no where near our best but got the job done. Disappointing to lose on Sunday but we absolutely did ourselves justice and the result could have easily been the other way around on a different day.
  15. We scored from a corner! and it was probably the smallest and gangliest player in the team who did it!
  16. They're both dodgy as fuck. Anyone who leads a national team on strike at World Cup because they've had enough of circuit training and wearing bibs is a complete tool. I think Suarez's past indiscretions say it all, not to mention his inability to stay on his feet whenever he's within 10 feet of someone
  17. Favourite song of the moment from all time favourite band. Miles Kennedy's voice is unrivalled.
  18. My Cat Ivy died today. She started coughing up blood last night, so we took her to the Vet and he said she most likely had a tumour but said it was doubtful she'd even survive getting the tests done. He said it was time for her to go and although it's tough to agree with that advice at the time, he was obviously right. She was put down about 2 hours ago. Hard to believe I won't see her anymore, we got her when I was 6 years old. I've lost pets before but none that i've had such a close bond with, the fact that it was so sudden doesn't help. She did have a good long life, it's more the fact that I don't remember a time when she wasn't there.
  19. It's actually in Tri-colour Sunburst, not Orange.
  20. Milan on paper are impressive. Then you remember their forward line is made up of world class players who only perform when they feel like it (which isn't all that often).
  21. Fletcher is the ultimate engine room. He's not in the team for his skill or flashiness but for his work rate and his ability to read the game. He does also pop with the odd special goal now and again. He takes on an even bigger role for Scotland and i'm hoping it's not something that will hold him back in his career. God knows we're shit enough without loosing our best player and captain.
  22. I'm guessing he bought it for the content, not the picture on the front of the box.
  23. There's new manager syndrome and then there's Martin O'Neil. The man is blessed with finding and extracting ability in players that they themselves didn't know they were capable off.
