  1. Do they have facts that contradict those in the article I posted? Do they deny that serfdom existed, that these people went unpaid, born to a master and couldn't marry without said master's consent? If so, honestly here, please give me the link. Edit: And as stated in my original post, I do not believe the current situation is right, I believe that going back to what it was before is not the solution.
  2. Buddy, you want to argue, argue the facts. Go ahead, pick out the factual inaccuracies, i'll happily be convinced. But don't dismiss it just because its a different view to what you're normally fed.
  3. Its different, its new, its got my attention.
  4. Before this debate (though I can't see it being much of one) kicks off, i'd like to add this. The Tibet Myth Pre-1959 Tibet has always been portrayed as some kind of Shangri-La. Basically it's a myth. Read the above, you'll see what I'm talking about. Now i'm not denying there are problems in the region, and with the rule, but freeing the country is definitely not the answer.
  5. Kungfu 4-6 hours a day, and I go to the gym when I do less.
  6. I wish I was laying, because i'm sitting right now. Sitting rhymes with hitting. Hitting is what my Dad used to do to me. If you say Dad with a cold its sounds like mad Another thing that's cold is snow It's snowing now.
  7. Snow is white.
  8. I'm on my gap year at the moment. Spending the whole year in China learning Kungfu. It costs absolutely nothing, I managed to pay for it all working full time for two months in the summer before I came out and money I had saved up before then. I didn't really plan it that much, I just needed to get out of England. Anyway I'll probably to a little bit of traveling at the end. I've got a lot of friends who are just doing more of an extended holiday if that's what you want, so I think I can give plenty of advice.
  9. I'm watching the episodes online, obviously because of where I am, but i'm watching them as they come out in England so I don't accidently ruin anything for me mam. Anyway, next week is going to be great.
  10. The message behind this book was ofcourse incredible and something we all should all learn, but I didn't think the book itself was terribly well written, and not that good to read. Animal farm is a good book to read, even if I did finish it during a lay-over in Hong Kong.
  11. April 9th? APRIL 9TH!!! Hell i've been waiting for this fight for so long and now they make me wait more. Those cruel bastards.
  12. This is such a pain in the ass. Ever since the riots in Tibet started the Chinese have blocked access to youtube, so I haven't seen anything of the last three pages.
  13. Hey guys, just checking in to say I haven't got anything.
  14. I can go down and get this today but I still got a couple of games to complete, and seeing as I can't figure out how to get Live working I think i'll wait.
  15. 10. Burnout 2 This is one of those games I dreamt of as a kid. All those other games I would play, things like Cruising (Because it's spelt with a G!!!) always seemed tame. Where were the stunned and panicked drivers coming the other way. When this game finally came along it was like "Thank you", because not only did they do it right, they got it near perfect. And a crash mode to boost, a multiplayer to be reckoned with. 9. Skies of Arcadia I feel a little uneasy about putting a port on here, but by golly if this game didn't deserve it. So much so that I used the phrase "by golly" to describe it, a phrase that itself hasn't been used since the time of ship-faring adventure. And that was what made this game incredible. It was the adventure. It was the sense of exploring, of bravely going where no one else had before (on that particular save file). Few games, in the history of video games, have achieved this so well. If Sega stop making crap for 5 minutes and start making a sequel, no random battles and a massive map, well, i'd have to find myself a towel. 8. F-Zero GX How do you get a game to look this good? Hey Mario Kart, you looking at this. Yeah, you hang your head in shame. And you see that, that's speed Mo'Fo, try it. Man this game was good, and hard as a rock as well. Customizable crafts, missions, and tons of brilliant tracks make this a hard game to top with a sequel. 7. Viewtiful Joe Little ashamed i'm putting this on my list even though I haven't completed it. What? It's really hard. Man does this game rub it in as well. 2 hours of unsuccessfully attempting the first level I switch to 'kids' mode. A low point. But it's only teasing you because it knows it can. A homage to 2D beat-em-ups, this game was incredible fun, even when you were getting brutally embarrassed by a cartoon character. 6. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Love. This game is made of 99% love and 1% naked peach (10% when you factor in the amount of times I loaded up that save point). A gorgeous game with incredible character, something that is lacking in too many of today's games (hey, surprise, a shooting game with a muscular dark-haired caucasian, just what we were short on). Great story and locations make this a very memorable game. 5. Super Smash Bros. Melee My play time says it all. 4. Killer 7 Ahh my darling. Killer 7 is my own private love. Suda51 takes the overused and tired "save the world alone, against evil" scenario that 90% of games use, kicks it in the balls, smokes it, and then makes this game. Set pieces that will constantly surprise you and a plot that is not only the best one seen in a video game, but up with the best in Hollywood, make this a game that has to be played to be believed. 3. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Beauty. This is what beauty looks like. You stand on a beach, staring out at the open sea and the wind blows gently against you. The music was what really got me here. It fitted the game perfectly and carried with it a swell of emotion, and in the case of the opening credits, nostalgia. There was a sense of being in this game. Whereas I felt a little removed in its successor, the Wind Waker brought me into the game and made me feel it. 2. Resident Evil 4 Including the Wii version i'm up to 15 replays now, narrowly beating Metroid Fusion. Why? What is so brilliant about this game. 20 minutes in you get your answer. The adrenaline takes over your body as a village of crazed spaniards do everything in their power to kill you. Then Dr Salvador comes...and the rest is self-explanatory. 1. Metroid Prime Perfection. Retro, or as they should be referred to, "those with balls", took a game everyone in the industry had wanted for years, and did it their way. The most atmospheric game ever, and one of the best designed. Retro not only created a new genre with Prime, they perfected it. Well done to them.
  16. The thing that won it for me was that they never changed the jokes. That's consistency right there, and I respect that.
  17. Some great films there oxigen BUT the greatest film trilogy ever made is the infernal affairs trilogy. Hands down, no reply.
  18. Oh yeah, well we were planning to kill him. Yeah, that was revenge for Moogle's game, you won off my death. We had no idea who you where. We had no idea who anyone was, we were running on hunches, and taking out those who were most active. We didn't have an investigator you see.
  19. The two worst people i've ever played with. It ruins any effort anyone tries to put in, especially Volcom and Beggilax whose first game it was.
  20. Mcoy and Calza ruined the game for us, I didn't even know mcoy was playing. Our tactic for killing was those who talked the most, which is why we took out oxigen and nintendohnut first. And Mundi, why didn't we get an investigator. How are we supposed to know the fish will kill us if we try to kill him i we can't investigate people.
  21. I consider Patriotism evil. Not in for an argument, its just it has the same negative effects as religion.
  22. Thank god thats over, that was easily the worst bloody game of this i've ever played. By the way, if i'm ever on a team with Mcoy or Calza again, I quit straight off the bat. Useless bastards. I want to say thanks to Dom and Maddog. Dom got very unlucky early on, and then so early on in the game it was just me and Maddog playing. We tried as hard as we can. It seemed to be there were a lot of investigators. Anyway, we got unlucky, and knew we were pretty screwed when gaggle went.
  23. Hmm, getting to the point now where we have to be careful, however Mcoy and darky seem like our best leads, and we could end this today if we pick the right one (I figure, so many are dead already). Vote:Mcoy
  24. Detention and execution of anyone who enjoyed Troy, in the interest of making the species stronger.
  25. Ha, I take offense to that. Not that he's helping us but shouldn't we keep looking if he's neutral. I mean we could end this today if we find the mafia guy, one more of us good guys gets to win.
