Out today with 10% off until 5th July. Anyone getting it? Once upon a time, I would have been all over this but I've checked some footage and I think I'm good at the moment.

How many did you buy? Be honest.

I have Baten Kaitos for Gamecube and to be honest it's a bit of a blur in my memory. I remember visually liking some of the maps/ backgrounds a lot, but I just put up with the card battle system instead of getting into it and playing with it. I think it had some bad sound quality for spoken dialogue? I'm up for a rerelease and Origins finally coming over here would be nice too. Even better if it paves the way to a third entry and further continuation of the series.

It looks like this one is shaping up to be a really good, player-friendly jumping off point for newcomers. But then if you've played Tokyo Mirage Sessions you're hardly a newcomer!

Russia and North Macedonia also eliminated. Yes, the joke is lost on me. https://www.espn.com/soccer/uefa-european-championship/story/4410772/euro-2020-what-all-teams-need-to-qualify-from-the-group-stage This also explains what each country needs. For example, Scotland must win and England must lose, and Scotland better the overall goal difference, to take second. Regardless, a win over Croatia is likely to take them through in third on four points.

Clear as mud! Let's see how it goes tomorrow. Clan Clarke will need to be on their game and hope they don't lose any more players to isolation before kickoff.

Great scenes in Copenhagen. Especially after what we saw with Eriksen. Enjoyed the frantic finish to that group. That's what we're here for!

Goals flying in in both matches now!
-
They didn't used to give them.

Not a baldy! Still waiting for a good replay on it.

I'm liking that Finland kit but I think I'm on for Denmark too, though that could mostly be as I want to see some chopping and changing in the group standings. Live, Lukaku looked offside I thought, but in the replay he looked on... show me the lines! Yeah, they are turning the screw in the second half. That Lukaku attempt aside, it seems like they are mostly trying to get Hazard a goal.

Finland clinging onto second spot in the group but if Belgium can be bothered to take it up gear...?

I used to save up and buy some Gameboy and SNES games like Yoshi's Island from an old chain called Woolworths before Game opened in town.

Fair play to North Macedonia for having a go. Might as well go out having a good time!

From the nintendo.co.uk page. I would love to know just how substantial these QoL enhancements are.

Metroid's been out of the game for a while so...

£80! For an artbook and some cards. Crazy pricing! Yeah, and don't forget the tin box. Utter madness.

All I could think of was Jeff Stelling vs Helen Chamberlain. Nice one! Will be sure to keep an eye on their results next season.

Dragon Quest I, II & III are heading West on September 27th!

Like progressing with unlocking the Avatar state. Been playing DQ II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line off and on since the turn of the year (I got it for a few quid in the Christmas/ January eShop sale). It's a nice, relaxing, comfort-foody sort of game which I think I've played exclusively on Sunday nights before the real-world grind of another week begins. Last night I put it on for the first time in a while and it took me a minute or two to remember where I was going. No logs to check in these oldies. It was a tower on the west of the map that I needed to go back to--I say back to because I remember slogging over there before and not having the necessary item to progress. Oops, but trekking there and back before means I'm over-levelled for the time being which helped me plough back there and progress with the needed item I'd collected the last time I played. Immediately after, I got the boat and ventured out to sea. The old man I got the boat from told me exactly where to go, but the implications didn't click with me because it'd been a while since I last played and I'd forgotten the names of the opening towns and castles. For some reason, I just thought I was being nudged back to the starting area to show off the party of adventurers I'd now put together, and would receive further instructions there. It is an open secret, up there with what happens in FF VII, that: I was totally blindsided that this was the moment in the game it would happen. Then, as I sailed in for a peek at the neighbouring landmass I was like and went straight to the castle to see what it was like! So cool. Discovering this back in the day must have been amazing to experience. -
How low's it gonna go? Do you think this'll be one of those collectable games whose price skyrockets down the line?
-
I'm no expert in wheeler-dealing but I'd say you aren't guaranteed to get a good price if you try to sell on here. The buyer wants a low price just as much as you want a high one. I bought a couple of things here when there was a board for such (Mega Drive stuff off @flameboy I think, Gamecube games off @rokhed00, GBA e-card reader off someone, you get the idea) and I'm pretty sure they all did me a favour with the pricing; I doubt they made much of a profit, if any at all. So yeah, consider if you want your stuff to go to a good home, or if you'd rather get as much cold hard cash as possible. The only thing I have to add is that eBay does no fees promotions so you could lookout for one of those and try to sell then--with a reserve price just in case the bids are lower than you want. You won't miss the kit once it's gone and besides, this doesn't have to be a permanent Marie Kondo turning point in your life as others are taking it as. You're a free man to follow your own whims and do what feels right for you--and you can likely buy the stuff back for peanuts in future should the fancy take you. Your local council yard? Sometimes I think all I need is a DS and Chrono Trigger, and I'm not even joking. CeX (buys and) sells!

Cube Tries to Play (Almost) Every Sonic Game
darksnowman replied to Cube's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Read this thread earlier with the morning coffee. I have to say, even if I haven't played the vast majority of these games, it was a pleasant read to kick the week off with. The coolest thing is seeing Flicky was looked at in the previous post! It's a simple game but fun for what it is and has that "one more go" thing that older games were so good at. Any plans to continue with this series or is it on indefinite hiatus? Totally understandable if you've had enough and don't want to subject yourself to more mediocrity! I hope you weren't expecting us to laud this as going above and beyond. -
Five Nights at Happies... coming soon!

Another goalkeeper stepping up after the heroics of Alisson Becker in the run-in!
