  1. Barella didn't half smash that one in!
  2. Italian defenders couldn't manage to keep themselves onside there. Just focus on keeping it tight at the back, lads.
  3. Sommer did just fine but it was the Swiss penalty takers who went in cold.
  4. Swiss keeper should be well warmed up for these kicks from the mark.
  5. Surprised he didn't get a turn at centre half at least.
  6. Good for him for sticking to his guns. Just wait until your perspective adapts and you're looking "down" at the next generation of players as boys rather than looking "up" to them as mythical heroes with special footballing powers. As for Switzerland, needless to say but they need a breakthrough. We've seen that Spain can be got at.
  7. Summonable Fi is megaton. Standing by for the next video which will showcase the range of amiibo needed to unlock and enjoy these features.
  8. That'd be great, thanks. The earth kingdom can always be depended upon. It's just that I can finish the insects, fish and sea creatures now in July/ August if the things I'm missing turn up, and that's lead me to taking stock of where I am with some other collectables and Nook activities. It's so random when some of them visit. Like, I've Gulliver today--one of those two washes ashore every week...!
  9. If Mario's wearing the red tie then what's DK got on.
  10. I don't even think there was a splash--either visually or aurally--when I put a ball in the drink. There are so many lacking touches that make the game seem cheap and a long way from being close to premium. It is really unfortunate. Everyone else is probably hitting the fairways and greens in regulation so hasn't noticed that. I've been experimenting with applying the curve arrows with and against the wind, and let me tell you, if you have a character with three curve segments on the power bar and you're on a hole with good strong wind, try applying maximum curve with the wind... it's like the crazy curve ball cheat from Fifa International Soccer! Just need to find a practical use for it.
  11. Is this real? Bidoof tss. Rattata's only good for running. Sentret and Zigzagoon 4ever. Bidoof/ Diamond broke me and I didn't play Pokémon again until Shield.
  12. Just read it. We always associate Nintendo with effortless simplicity and accessibility but it seems that sometimes even they cannot see the forest for the trees. Interesting to read that observing beginners reactions to simply connecting the character to the stick and moving them was a eureka moment for Teshima just as much as it was for the beginners. Then the team focused on keeping it simple by implementing this guided system to programming to ensure people wouldn't get bogged down in typing code and correcting syntax errors. Good stuff. Is this an admission that Game Builder Garage is a major release?
  13. Well that's the last straw. Pre-order cancelled.
  14. Didn't see this or I would have come. Good point about them being tied to months. Looked it up and that means I'm missing: - Aquarius urn - Cancer table - Leo sculpture - Sagittarius arrow - Scorpio lamp And I only have five of her space DIYs. I'm not too bothered with it being a long-term goal to get these like with Jolly Redd, but I see her less than Redd and that's saying something.
  15. @Sméagol fancy trawling through your multitude of DIYs to see if you have one for a bamboo stool?
  16. I've had the demo downloaded for AI: The Somnium Files downloaded for ages but still need to give it a go.
  17. Happy Bidoof day you Pokémaniacs!
  18. Dude. No way. When I played spot the difference with Redd's arts and sculptures yesterday, I remember thinking the difference between real and fake on that mother statue was how much the head is turned. Very sorry about that! I can reimburse you for the sculpture (perhaps you can reimburse me for the shame you've brought upon my island for its present flower condition...) and since I ordered the sinking painting--always real, apparently!--I can let you have it if you're in need of that one for your museum.
  19. I can't decide if this didn't make the cut (...!) because they knew it would be a horrific spamfest of sound and the screen being plastered, or if it is just another corner they cut. Maybe they could add in the short messages you can send that pop-up discretely in the corner in Super Mario Maker 2, and put a time limit on it to cut down on the spam factor?
  20. I thought we said Nintendo have done that too? Gone are the simple days of games coming from "one person" to where they are now, due to modern expectations of what a game is and the personnel needed to make them on the latest technology. That's similar to going from Steamboat Willy to where Disney are nowadays too with CGI production. Is that the book from 5+ years ago? Aye, it's decent and popular among budding animators. There are also some making-of documentaries out there on Pixar's more recent things (and older, of course) where you can get an idea of their process of the seed coming from someone, being brainstormed, and coming to fruition as a film that keeps that individual vision while being embellished upon by the underlings who worked on it along the way.
  21. Haha, absolutely. Looking at Aonuma and Zelda, the end result has been the same...! Ocarina of Time in a boat, Ocarina of Time with wolf transformation instead of young/old Link, Ocarina of Time with motion+... I see you are trying hard to make this comparison work. From what I know though and correct me if I'm wrong, Pixar's films are borne from one person getting their childhood trauma greenlit for animation. Like @Dcubed said, Nintendo don't really go the auteur route (or if they do they keep it quiet to make sure the glory is shared) so other than their output being fun and enjoyable for young and old, it's hard to draw any deeper parallels with Pixar. Though having said that, there was the Earthbound guy, and don't they wheel out the same person for Animal Crossing, and isn't all Pokémon hatred directed at one guy? So I guess they do have games where you can think of one person being in charge. Probably even more than these three that just came to me.
  22. Guaranteed to go sideways as it's a 2D game.
  23. Gameplay trailer! Spoiler: it looks as you would expect.
