Aghg I don't know what I'm becoming now. I was confident about my AS January exams, but I got 2 Ds (Maths, History), a C (Computing). However, I did get a very high A for politics. Bah, I'm depressed about school now.

Agh, I absolutely loathe how everyone says "oh and they said the FA Cup has lost it's magic". Bluddy hell. I swear nobody ever said that, and people just seem to love to drag it up whenever there is a good match (which is generally at least once a round) with a wry smile as if they knew all along that the FA cup hadn't lost its magic. What is this magic anyways. I thought it was supposed to be small teams knocking out big teams/ I'm fed up with it. No ever said "it has lost it's magic". Get over it.

Love this game so much. I was a bit wary of the battle system at first, but at about 5 hours in it just clicked. The music is also fantastic. I was worried at first as Nobuo Uematsu left, but the musical quality in the game is still sublime. My favorite song so far being Rabanastre Lowtown. Such an atmospheric place, and the music fits so well.

Wow, all this talk of becoming a videogame designer programmer etc luckily reminded me about how my teacher entered me and some other select pupils into a computing Olympiad thing this Wednesday. Basically you're given three hours, and three question/tasks which revolve around making a program using whatever language you like. I will use basic basic Pascal : / People interested in becoming like programmers and what not should really think about entering as it's sponsored by Lionhead Studios (the good fellows who made Black & White, Fable etc) who actually take a keen interest in the people who do well, and even offer small apprenticeships to those who do well. The sample questions don't look too bad which is good. Example here

Currently I am doing my AS-Levels, studying Maths, Computing, History and Politics. Fortunately, I pretty much know exactly what I want to do. I will drop Maths at A2, as it’s not really that interesting, and requires me to really grind my brain to understand it. I will then do my A2, after which I then plan to go to take a gap year in Japan, teaching English to little kids (which is a job I would love to do, but as a guy these opportunities seem limited, well in this country anyway). I then plan to go to university to probably study Japanese, but my love of History has me leaning to a possible dual degree of History and Japanese. I then plan to get the hell out of this stinking country (England) which I believe is going right down the plughole at the moment, and relocate to Japan, where hopefully I can become a teacher, failing that, some kind of English consultant for a company. Tourism. Pffff. You should definitely do Japanese with me. Wow, I would love to pick your brain so to speak on the subject of Japanese at university. Which university do you go to? I'm currently looking at Sheffield, Manchester, or Leeds. Crummy Edinburugh and SOAS require a language at AS

If my English Literature poetry lessons have taught me something, it is that generally when there is a break in the rhyming, it is indicitive of a moment of high emotion, hence the breakdown in rhyming. So I'm guessing for the lad in question, he has a traumatic memories relating to a ginger woman. But then again, that analysis was relevant for pre 1914 poetry, not random forum poems.

Irritated. I've got some kind of ulcer under my tongue -
Bah. My brother got free coporate box tickets for the Arsenal Wigan game with free food and booze. And doesn't even really like football that much. Ah the injustice. But on Bolton. I am so glad we beat them. They are the team I despise most in the whole of football. Thank god we beat them, as they had been getting pretty arrogant recently with their attitude towards us. I remeber last season Fat Sam slobbered that not only could his Bolton team out-muscle Arsenal (fair enough) but they could also out-skill us. Which is total crap, as Arsenal are one of, if not the most, skilful team in Europe.

Best thing ever. This tops a clevland steamer by a long strech. Oh, and related to your problem. There's no better way of saying I like you than giving her a nice little gift or something, may I suggest a runny Clevland steamer?

Happy. Went to a real good party last night. -
Does anyone here really watch Alias? I just watched the first three episodes, and I'm unsure on it. The pilot is the cheesiest piece of television I've ever seen. Initially it seems incredibly crap, with oh so many cliches, and ridiculously stupid events and unbelievable exaggerated plots, coupled with cringey one liners, but then due to the sheer absurdness of it, it becomes watchable in a so bad it's good kind of way. I just can't believe the guy who made Lost made this. Seem a mile apart.

I think that British television is so poor when compared to the American stuff. In this age of downloads, I hardly watch British TV now. Dexter is a really good programme which despite not getting as much hype as the Lost/Prison Break/Heroes types, it is just as good. Oh, and Veronica Mars is good too.

Gah. The last craze I witnessed I think was the skateboarding one. I didn't really get into it, but I remember everyone wanted to wear baggy trousers and act so cool, skating along. It was a time when Tony Hawk's 2 was the bee knees, and people thought Avril Lavigne was the best. Makes me cringe thinking back about how lame people were.

Happy I got invited to a party. -
Does anyone know how Tales of Abyss compares to Symphonia? It's on PS2, and it looks mighty similar, with that being a good thing. Same battle system, same lovely cell shaded grahpics. Is there a story extension in there,or is it a completely new universe, a la Final Fantasy.

Dissapointed. I just wasted today. Did absolutely nothing, except mope around the house. So much for living everyday as if it's your last. -
I lurk a lot, and not many know it, but I am from C-E. I remember I found it while trying to avoid revising for my SATS. I remember Stocka used to be called Hyrule there, and the site scheme was purpley.

Zing! I bought a black DS Lite which had NO dead pixels. Yay. However, what I bought to accompany it is far cooler. This super awesome sleeping bag esque case for it.

Birthday Threads (ie Pimp Your Birthday Thread)
|Laguna| replied to Ashley's topic in General Chit Chat
My birthday is the same as Ashley's in Another Code, except I'm a year older than her. Neat huh. -
It's all about the Gap Year. :awesome: I would be teaching aid for little kids learning English, which is what I would like to do, regardless of country. So win win.

This forum for introducing me to great TV shows. Thanks to this forum I regularly enjoy Heroes and Veronica Mars, two of my favourite programmes. Thank you very much *hugs forum*

I abolsutely loathe Bolton. They're so cocky due to the fact they've beaten us a couple of times. I remember a headline last year in which Fat Sam stupidly proclaimed that "not only can we out muscle Arsenal, we can also out skill Arsenal". Which is one of the dumbest claims I've heard, seeing as Arsenal is the most silkily skilful team in the league, and Bolton FC consists of a bunch of Robbie Savage esque players, who take every opportunity to take sly kicks and pushes at other players. I really hope we humiliate them today. An 8-0 would put Fat Sam back in his place.

Wednesday. I only have Politics, and Computing, and then I can go home at break time (11.40) where I then get a couple of precious hours to relax with an empty house, doing what I want. Or if I don't go home, I can just spend the day playing football/poker.

Man, I can identify with that. Whenever I mention my similar desire to live in Japan, it is often met with "your such an idiot, just cuz you like videogames you want to live in a country". Argh, it irks me quite a lot. Anyways, I dislike England quite a bit, or rather, what England is turning into. My local town is now infested with chavs, be they 9 years old, 15, or 30. The whole society just depressing, and I constantly feel that am I outside of the society in which I live in, and that I don't really fit in. It's weird way to be. Anywho, I too harbour a desire to do away with my current lifestyle, and go live in Japan, which I will be in 1 and 1/2 years time. I actually can't wait.
