Children Of Men A very good, well produced film with very nice effects, set in an interesting possible future Britain. A very strong story, with some great actors, though the ending left me slightly unsatisfied. A part in it oddly reminded me of Gears of War. 7/10 Little Miss Sunshine. I original intended to watch sunshine of the spotless mind, but got muddled up, but boy am I glad I did get them mixed up. This is one of the nicest, most touching films I've seen a very long time with so many perfect, interesting and unique characters, all the actors performing their individual parts superbly, esp. There are so many sweet, moving scenes, like the one with the ice-cream, as well as amusing ones. Definitely recommend this is film to anyone. 9/10

David Dein was a good guy, always giving his full support to Arsene and had many contacts within the footballing world and was involved in a lot of transfer negotiations. Interesting fact - Dein's son was the best man at Henry's wedding.

Interesting story, although I came into this thread expecting something like some a videogame had Tails or Luigi in their game without developer consent.

I take from my History education here, but, darkcloud = primary source, he has actually experienced Japan himself, so can talk from what has seen himself. zeldafreak = secondary source, you have only gained your knowledge through other channels which can be easily lead to distortion and not a full understanding. Primary sources generally > Secondary sources. However, I myself have talked to others about Japan, and from what I hear of things, it's not racism in the form that is thought of in this country like discrimination or acts of violence towards one because of their race, but more surprise and fascination with foreign people. This sometimes leading to foreigners feeling/being singled out, but however it is not for reasons of animosity, but instead curiosity. That's what I've heard from people anyway, but as I haven't been personally, I can't speak with complete conviction.

A lot of L'arc-en-ciel songs, My Dear makes me feel sad, Driver's High makes me feel awesome. A lot of Jack Johnson songs can make me feel lots of different things, from sadness like "Crying Shame" to those that just make me feel really good, just lying around on a hot lazy Summer's day listening to Jack Johnson can be so soothing and relaxing - too many to name.

I really know why, but I never really liked this on the Gamecube. I like all the prior MGS instalments on the Playstation, but I just don't think the Gamecube controls felt right for me personally, after controlling Snake with a dual shock all the times in the past.

Urgh, the law that allows Americans to have guns is so ridiculous. It was only written into their constitution because at the time of writing they were surrounded by Indians and had to protect themselves with guns, now, there is no need for this law, yet because it is ingrained in the constitution it looks like it won't be changing anytime soon. That's why it's good the UK has a quasi-unwritten constitution, so there isn't anything major like a revolution needed to change something like this.

Just watching the show now - the way they kept accidentally referring to the Wii as a Gamecube made me laugh, as did this image: Although the sheer amount of PainKiller Jane crap they shoved into the episode kinda annoyed me

It's just for normal prefects : / Though we just had to write a letter of application, thankfully no interview. The perks of being a perfect at my school are pretty meagre to say the least, you get: 1) The privilege of being allowed to wear a blue or pink shirt instead of the standard white - making you just look stupid. 2) You can go outside of school in your frees - everyone does that anyway. There used to be a exclusive prefect common room in which there was a TV hooked up with a Genesis and an N64 - but they closed that down this year *grumble grumble*

My school decides who will be prefects tomorrow and I applied. The worst thing is that if you applied you have to sit right at the front during the whole school assembly and then the people who are read out get to go up to the stage and get their nice new tie, so then at the end, everyone knows the people left sitting at the front are those that wanted it and didn't get it. Embarrassing.

It was SEGA under Nintendo supervision that made GX wasn't it? That was one of Sega's best games in the last couple of years. What have we seen from that team since? Maybe they are doing Mario & Sonic at the Olympics. EDIT: Wow. Just looked at the Wikipedia entry for GX, the engine it used was the also the engine the original Super Monkey Ball used!
