Anyway, in less soul-destroying news Senna will be out on DVD & Blu-Ray in the UK on the 18th of October and can now be per-ordered from your favourite media sales-mijigger. Still waiting for them to release the soundtrack.

This new deal is sort of depressing but I figured it was going to be something like this. Quote from the Guardian: No. No it bloody isn't.

Superb race today, hopefully this is the shape of things to come in the second half of the season. The top three were all fantastic and drove almost flawlessly, but it was Hamilton's infamous aggression that gave him the edge when he needed it and McLaren finally got their strategy sorted. Great racing and overtaking. Bit gutted Massa lost out on the last-ditch pit race with Vettel though - I must admit, though I'll still fight anyone who talks Vettel down, it does seem telling he was only able to get by in the pits rather then on the track. All in all though an incredibly memorable race with a fantastic fight for the front and a moment of classic F1 camaraderie at the end. As Lewis said after the race: "Driving lap after lap within tenths of each other was about real perfection" about sums it all up. Brilliant.

I'll allow it, but only because it's you CBears.

This is a dwarf hamster. But don't tell a soul. He's hiding. With his wheeeesekers.

Tomorow should be a good race, especially with rain forecast. Both Webber and Hamilton were fantastic - Lewis was nailing every corner perfectly through the 1st sector, there's no way the McLaren is down to half a tenth behind the Red Bull without putting something truly special into it. I also liked Vettel, sitting 3rd and sincerely telling the press he'd like to be "nearer the front."

Given the amount of crap in the news right now plus all the stresses and strains exasperated by the crap in the news, I think this forum needs a place full delightful fuzziness and bouncy cuddly things (besides Coolness Bears) harvested from the internet and dropped here. Like this kitten. Look at this little kitten. Good lord the fluffiness. Troubles... melting... away... ... stubby legs...

Paulie wanna cracker? Happy birthday! -
This looks fantastic. Utter flamboyance without an ego, with everything done because it can be. Pure entertainment demanding total abandonment of any and all real world morality and convictions. A lot of games & films try but Saints Row is one of the few that pulls it off.

A couple of recent discoveries worth sharing - a DJ by the handle Hiatus who sates my sordid appetite for quality easy listening perfectly. I heartily recommend you listen to his album Ghost Notes and other tracks on Soundcloud. His music is, as they say, "well chill." Audio The other thing I've stumbled across is "ef", the Swedish anthem band I never knew I wanted to hear. Imagine if Coldplay were able to leave a greater impression then moldy 70's wallpaper and you're about half way there. Audio

I very much enjoyed it. I think it's straddling the line between action adventure and family sitcom quite well and knows how to present an intriguing concept. The only bit that wrankled with me is how or why the Governor would release a convicted pedophile-murderer, even in light of the circumstances though there's tons of room to explore that more later. Just as long as they don't bog it all down in some inane JJ Abrams style hubris this looks set up to roll on very smoothly. Anyway, looking forward to the rest of it.

I'll be sticking with the vanilla edition, though I'll probably make up the difference in alternate costume packs anyway. I freely admit Bioware has me by the balls on that one.

Aren't we all? I'm determined to drive at least one Lamborghini through a private mansion in my lifetime, and it sure as hell ain't going to be mine.

I'm quite sure that's true, but I still suspect you're possibly being... let's say optimistic. I do agree however that Eenuh's probably going to make it fine.

Oh god, this is painful. My team are performing better then ever but they just don't seem to be up to the top-league standard. Guess I've just gotta take my knocks, develop as much as I can and come back as hard as I can season after next.

That was a corking race, always happy when Vettel doesn't win now though I wish he'd finish lower then 2nd every now and again as well. Hamilton was on the very top of his game to claw his way to 4th - seems like the McLaren is definitely the 3rd fastest car after the whole diffuser nonsense. Gutted for Button, that was just unfortunate.

Why McLaren? Why do you keep doing crazy shit like burning badly needed soft tires in the rain for no good reason? Why do you hold your drivers back until after the track was clearly at it's best like you did at Monaco qualifying last year? Why, oh godammit why, do you change tires and curious times or leave them out a half dozen laps longer then you ever have to? Are you drunk? Are you all high? Have both your drivers slept with your collective mothers at some point? Are you trying to punish them, McLaren? Or are you trying to punish yourselves? Anyway, race should be good tomorrow, nice one Webber. This whole diffuser business has become a goddamn needless mess and should've been left well alone until after the season. I love how this sort of thing always seems to center around Silverstone - the whole place has some magical quality about it that seems to provoke these things, and no amount of revamping seems set to change that. Spiritual home of F1 indeed, for better and for worse.

Gameplay trailer - graphically alone it looks like quite an impressive improvement.

In his defence, I understand he did it for free and it was only broadcast in the local Canberra area - that doesn't stop it from being brilliant though.

Schumi confirmed for 2012. Good to see Grandpa's not giving up.
