That's odd, I'm seeing it fine. Anyone else? I'll separate the post out a bit in case. -

Multiplayer trailer, and it's off the hook - Also enjoyed the demo. It's fundamentally quite different, aircraft have to be wrestled a little bit through a sharp turn and can't be hurled quite so smoothly as before. It does feel like they're operating in an air-element as opposed to the frictionless space of AC6, though it's still definitely not a sim. My only rankle is maneuvers in cockpit view are a bit awkward, particularly in the helicopter though it was still perfectly playable. Out of the cockpit it was all smooth as butter, in either exterior or just the HUD view. -

Top hole, can't wait to get my mitts on it. -

Their official music video for Ladies of the World is the best thing ever, as well as being a cracking tune. It's got to be funky sexy ladies.

The eyes. The eyes!

It was a corking race, even if Vettel scampered away over the horizon yet again. Hamilton V Schumacher was a thrilling duel - Hamilton's luck didn't seem to be with him yet again today. I can't help but feel Lewis would not have gotten away with some of the same double & blocking moves that Schumi pulled on him. Button v Alonso was a good one for a bit too. Good fighting up and down the field once again, but a shame for those who got clattered by Liuzzi, Petrov in particular. There was one specific moment that summed up both the race and the entire 2011 season for me - about 20 laps in, Hamilton finally getting out from behind Schumacher, Button battling Alonso and the whole midfield scrapping for the rest of the points in one big lump, a purple graphic pops up. "Vettel's just set a new fastest lap" says Martin. "Forgot he was leading this race actually."

New trailer: Are you ready to f&%$ things up in virtual reality?
-
Noo, you've had enough misfortune! Hope things look up soon - at this point you're owed a lottery jackpot or something. =p

... no words.

I've had another one of those strange seasons, the team's looked good on paper but I've just never found any consistent route to victory, finishing bottom of the table with a handful of points won from opponents who should be well above my station a horrible goal difference despite a decent count for. Frequently players have under then over performed inexplicably without meaningful adjustment to tactics or lineup. Almost time to rally and go full guns for the middle league - perhaps I'll finally have some silverware to boast about next season. By the by, how about a big ol' cup after next season with all 3 leagues? Just to mix things up a bit.

Single player teaser, featuring an assault upon the outskirts of Tehran - As I've said before I'm not buying Battlefield for the single-player mode and I can't imagine who is, but it certainly looks like a very pretty diversion.

That was sort of hard to watch, both because it was so one sided and I'm broadly supportive of the Pacific island nations. Tomorrow hopefully will provide a better spectacle (thank god the England game is on at a reasonable hour) - Wales V SA on Sunday will be the one worth breaking out the popcorn for though.

We need to keep you away from booze. Or the internet. Probably both.

I'm sort of in the same boat, but mine's more money & career related. I love this new city I'm in and I'm desperate to make it work. I want to be self sufficient as much as possible and I want to dig myself in like a tic, no matter what it takes. I just don't want to go back, back to nothing and no one and no way of escape. I've only been here 2 days and I'm already inwardly freaking out even though everything is pretty sorted for the foreseeable future. I think it's natural to be like this at this sort of time, hence those "Keep Calm & Carry On" posters being so popular. EDIT: Relevant comic is relevant -

Arrived in Portsmouth. House is nice. Weather was nice. Town was nice. House mates are nice - three hardcore gamers with two Spanish girls still to join us. Things are already going well. Really well. Almost too well...
-
Superb. Sounds like I'll have plenty to keep me busy.
-
I'll be entrenching myself in Portsmouth, where I shall be studying and working in the Co-op next the student union, so that's all gravy. Martinist I know will still visit but he's sticking where he is, so I've still got my melancholy. Where are you billeted Rez?
-
Ayup, heading down to do a masters and hopefully stick somewhere. There's only so much rain and old people any one man can take. But there are some things I shall miss, obviously.
-
Went drinking with Martinist, a final get together between old and dear friends before I sail away to the sunny shore of southern England. Watched a lot of Spongebob. Good times were had.

It's always on there for exactly one week. Anyway, now that we're all here I stumbled across these gems a few days ago and well, my god. They're edited by some kid named Antti Kalhola who only turned twenty this year. It's positively pornographic.
-
Superb, that saves me at least a tenner.

Are there any serious problems I'm liable to encounter if I purchase a used Xbox hard drive? I'm trying to keep my belt buckled tight and a used 60GB for £20 (plus a transfer cable for 10-15) would be just the ticket.
