I highly recommend you give it a whirl, it's pretty great just for the arcade biplane battles (though there's plenty to get to beyond that). The premium stuff doesn't seem overly restrictive either, I might actually spend money on this one. Might go deeper into Warframe as well because it's basically the PSO sequel I've always wanted. Paywall stuff seems a bit pricey for my taste though.

I might be getting into Warthunder in a big way.

Gamecube games on WiiU. Mostly I just want an easy copy of F-Zero GX to get to. A new F-Zero would also be welcome.
-
Think I might spring for this, I actively avoided Driveclub because of the driving model but this is exactly what I want for my PS4. When the new F1 game comes out I'll be all set for racers.

You forgot the most important ingredient:

This week I watched a grown man shoplift a hot n' greasy bacon & cheese turnover by stuffing it down the front of his trousers. It's all high-flying in the retail sector.

So who's going for Project Cars? Looks like my cup of tea exactly, might buy it in digital and call it a day on my PS4 spending spree.

The voting system isn't fit for purpose anymore (assuming it was before). Give me reform or give me death. I'm going to try not to think about the exit polls and check the results proper in the morning. Going to be depressing if it's correct though.

I'm one of the other ones. It's a fucking mess of a movie but there's still something beautiful trapped inside it somewhere. For what it's worth the game clearly takes it's cues from the first movie and is set between that and the second. Traded in my 360 & related goods for CEX credit, grabbed a spare controller & Last of Us with £20 credit left over. Think I'll go back and pick up Wolfenstein and that very BluRay boxset.

TBH you really should acquaint yourself with the franchise specifically the first two movies (arguably the best sci-fi horror movie ever made and the best sci-fi action movie ever made respectively).
-
I just bought one of the most important games of this generation.

Inspired by the (surprisingly decent) recent reboot I treated myself to a nice compact edition of the Thunderbirds complete series, because even after 50 years it's still the raddest shit ever committed to television.

Got my PS4, installed the 2TB hard drive, no issues, all's well. Just wish I didn't have an early start tomorrow. Is it credit-card issues? It's been hacking me off no end. This is the one I've used - it's the cheapest option. You have to prise it out of it's shell but you can put the old hard drive back in. It's all very easy to do.

I never thought I'd ever be interested in multiple CoD games in a row again, yet here we are. Here we are. Will include a 4-player online campaign mode, choice of male or female protagonist and "fluid" movement with larger "open" levels & maps to match.

I liked it quite a bit. There's not a lot of variety in the enemies & combat and the story is a bit messy but it competently tackles some super ambitious concepts with some neat gameplay ideas. It's the sort of thing I wish someone would make a sequel and try to improve on those ideas. Really looking forward to playing their new episodic story game on PS4 now.

Games within games that you and your friends made up

Super Monkey Ball, in the target glide challenge (I forget what it is called.) Four players, one player and three Angels of Death. One player goes first to land on any of the islands. The other players must then knock them into the water while quoting verses about the Angel of Death. Then take turns to be the player and tabulate scores after x number of rounds. -
Finished Remember Me last night, making it the final game I shall complete on my long-faithful Xbox 360 and I'm very satisfied with that. Already grabbed a PS4 off of Ebay but that won't arrive until next week. I might take a quick tour of my old favourites and then it's off to make use of CEX's half-reasonable trade-in rates.

Recommend a graphics card / aka help finish my new PC build
gaggle64 replied to Ike's topic in General Chit Chat
*burst through the window* Late to the party but just wanted two share my two pennies @Ike, Emasher's totally right that a good i5 is everything you need for gaming (the 4690k is the most widely recommended), i7s aren't worth the money unless you're doing some specific high-powered computing. As for the graphics card a 960 would be great for gaming a 1080p (such as on a typical TV) but you'll want the 970 if you're planning on investing in a 4k resolution screen. Nothing wrong with an aftermarket cooler either but liquid cooling is a luxury, a decent brand heatsink & fan should be more than adequate for half the price. *burst out the other window* -
Yeah, I figured. I was wondering if should get the 2TB option or a slightly faster 7200rpm 1TB but sounds like I'm gonna want the space sooner or later.

Quick question, how much of a limitation are you guys finding the PS4s stock 500-gig hard drive? Springing for a PS4 soonish and contemplating an upgrade for it.

I'm currently in a similar situation to Flinky with Parcel Force *shudders*. Apparently the sender didn't put the flat number on the package but since there's only four flats in the building I can't help but feel they could've tried harder. Got another email today saying they re-attempted delivery at 2pm but they definitely didn't buzz up. Can't help but suspect they found they couldn't park easily and didn't even bother. Filled the online form to have it sent to a nearby post office nut no confirmation text or anything, it's just such a poor system all round. You know I hear a lot of smack about Talk-Talk but we used them for years and my mum still uses them in her flat and we've literally never had a serious problem. Solid internet, solid customer service and all.

I think it's a really interesting project. Remains to be seen if it's a concept that'll sustain itself over time though.

The masters of the Hollow Earth have trained him well. Thought Nicola Sturgeon came out very strong. All the women did really. As a prospective Green I think Natalie B could've afforded herself some bigger punches but I feel like she, Nicola and Leanne Wood had more sincerity to offer then the big four.

I'm really looking forward to the 200cc mode, it's exactly the sort of thing I've been wanting to see a kart game. Still want a new F-Zero though. Nintendo's DLC is surprisingly actually pretty good across the board so far in it's content/price ratio. It's a breath of fresh air compared to CoD-esque £10 for four maps on day-1.

Impa, godammit her time is due.
