Firstly, I found UC to be a highly enjoyable experience, and a true forte for the lightgun genre. Secondly, I feel sorry for all you people who obviously had poor maths lessons. Maths became my favourite subject in school. The work was easy-going, the atmosphere was great - surrounded by friends, and we had the nicest, most laid-back teacher in the school.

Went to enroll at Sixth Form today, which went quite well, apart from the woman who was talking to me about Philosophy: 'Staff': "So... do you... erm... know much about Philosophy? Me: "... -_-'... a bit?" Now I'm worried my buss pass won't come through on time for Monday (why the hell does term start on the FIRST of September? That's never happened ever in history, I swear). I gave all the filled-in forms and photos in at reception, which they were supposed to just stamp and give me to get to the bus garage. As it happens, the lady at reception took it all off me, stuck it on a pile and said that they "should" be ready for induction day on Friday, where I should "probably" take to the bus station and "If I'm lucky", I "might get it there and then". Gee, thanks. Sometimes, I wish I was more rude and impatient...

Oooh, I forgot about Vienetta!!! Haven't had that in years. Ice cream to end all ice creams.

Warm fudge cake. Especially when it tastes REEEEALY sweet. Oh, and I had organge-chocolate-filled profita rolls while I was at Frankie and Benny's last night: Heaven.

Dawn of the Dead (2004 Snyder remake) It opens and ends pretty strongly, but while the action is in the actual Mall, I couldn't help but lose interest. It's saved by the FRICKIN HEAD IN THE BOX on the boat at the end, though. That never fails to freak me out. 3 severed lims out of 5

Yeah, just don't read anything Edge puts for their reviews. I don't see any real ground for anyone to be majorly critical for Wario Land. Reviewers that fail to see past the design choice the developers took with this are just fueling the horrible and false conception that 2D platformers are dead on home consoles.

While I may not be a huge fan of Bill Hicks' style of comedy, you just have to be on the comdian's side whenever some fucked-up heckler decides to make themselves known. Here are a few good ways to handle them:

Parents took me out for tea in celebration of GCSE success, but the place we were going to didn't serve food after 6pm. Luckily, Frankie and Benny's was just around the corner so we went there. There was some sort of theme going on: all the staff were dressed up as superheroes, which was pretty cool. Something pleasingly novel about being served by a large man dressed as (comic book-style) Wolverine : peace:

Well a couple of years ago, before I'd ever properly drunk at a party, I'd always imagined myself to be too much of a bore for alcohol to have any effect on me. As it happens (further backed up by a party last night), I am an utter lightweight, even for a 16 year old. Just the way I like it actually: I can't stand being the only one sober and not having a good time at parties. So the sooner I become a tipsy little shit, the better.

Parents are off in York for the day, but I'm restricted to my house for dog-duty, unfortunately. Mother kept saying I should get a friend or two over, but I'm really not in the mood after a party last night. Now I know I'll look like a total loner when they get back, but honestly, I don't really care. So today will probably consist of being a total slave to my PC. Although, I do want to get some more of Galactic North read.

Debut Trailer All round, it's sort of a weird one. Various murky (average Wii) textures mixed with some genuinely impressive building models. All brought together in a seemingly Fatal Frame-esque mesh of combat with typical zombiefied enemies. Some scenes appear to have decent atmosphere, though. Still one to keep an eye on.

GCSEs are out (non-bold = grades already aquired last year). Drama: B, Distinction Btec PE: Merit (expected to fail) Science: A, A English Language: A* English Literature: B (Marks being appealed) History: B Geography: B French: B Maths: A Can't say I wouldn't have liked to get higher in History and Georgraphy, but French really got very hard in the last year. Overall, these are more than enough for Sixth Form.
