  1. Whooohoooo. Got my first acceptance from a university. Biotechnology! I wanted to do this when I finished school in 2009, but they didn't accept me then. Have to enroll between the 12th and 28th of August, so there is still time to wait for news from other universities. I applied for Psychology, Economics and Computational Engineering. No idea whether I will be accepted for one of these. But what's important: My future isn't so unsure anymore. I will definitely do something. And it's what I wanted: Go to a university and study in a field that I'm interested in. A couple of months ago I was unhappy, sad and always in a shitty mood. I quit my job, moved back to my hometown and started to live my life, doing things I enjoy even if my future was undecided. I took a risk, and so far it hasn't been a mistake.
  2. Clash in the Clouds. Lol. More like Cash in the Clouds, amirite? /unfunny Burial at Sea looks good, though. Still need to play Bioshock and Bioshock 2
  3. Do eeeeet. Or you can watch me play :p
  4. Amazon.de just sent me an email with a 50€ (seriously) voucher for Driveclub (apparently because I preordered a PS4). If the games cost 70€ I will get the game for 20€ (duh) I know, it will be free on PS+ but isn't that supposed to not be the full version?
  5. Sooo, anybody here jogging regularly? I want to start, but I'm not exactly sure how long the first few runs should be. Haven't done any running since I stopped playing football 7 (!) years ago. There has been the occasional weekend when I did some sports involving a lot of running. Need help :p I'm thinking about trying to run for 30 minutes at a slow pace for a few weeks and then increasing the speed.
  6. Teleglitch is my newest love. It looks a bit, well, shit. It's a top-down shooter with pixel-graphics. But damn, that game is scary. Only done one level (the levels are supposed to be randomized) and I was fucking nervous every single second. I don't even know why...I think it's the sound effects. They are amazing. And the lack of music makes the game even more daunting. It will get a new content update soon. V1.2 After a hiatus from the game which has lasted for almost a year, I will get back to it when the update is live.
  7. Why do women don't talk/message back? Here's another update from me: As you all know, I went straight ahead and asked the cute girl out. That was last Sunday. ... Still no response. I don't care anymore. For all I know, she's missing out. But you could at least say "no".
  8. Hmm. It generally is decent, but there is no glass, just plastics for the dial's cover. Other than that, it's quite good. If you want a nice metal and glass pocket watch you'd have to invest a lot more money but for 14€ I can't complain
  9. For 14€ you definitely cannot complain. Of course, it doesn't have the quality of other, more expensive pocket watches, but as I will take this thing outside a lot it will probably get some beating and bruising, so the price/quality is perfect. I love it.
  10. Hm, Dota 2. I occasionally play LoL, but somehow I don't have the patience to learn this game properly. Downloading Dota 2 just now. Might give it a go tomorrow.
  11. Yes! Stealth Bastard. Been looking forward to the Vita/PS3 version for a long time.
  12. Will probably get this. Haven't played the Vita version in a long time and in the past not as much as I wanted to Will get to it soon, though!
  13. Two tickets for the Holi Festival which is coming to my town One ticket for me, and one for anybody of my friends willing to come with me
  14. One of my favourite genres. Only recently discovered. Rockhard, unforgiving, but generally quite simple games. Anyone in love with them, too? I started with Towerclimb. The name says it all. Climb a tower. It's simple and elegant, but tough as nails. Then came Faster Than Light. Spaceship exploration and fighting with strategic elements. A relatively 'slow' game, but very challenging. A couple of days ago I bought Rogue Legacy. Buy it! It's awesome And today I discovered Risk of Rain. Played the demo and I love it. Pre-ordered. There will also be multiplayer.
  15. Thanks. I'm tired of beating around the bush. No use in saying: "Well, would you...like...you know...maybe, do something...sometime?" Noooooo. Never again. "You, me, dinner?" Like you said, that's how it should be done. And if it doesn't work out. Well, then it just wasn't meant to be.
  16. Got a response yesterday: "Cinema? With this weather? The weather is too nice for that." Pff, so I went all out: "How about dinner at Purino (a restaurant in my town), then? It's a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the sun." Let's see when she'll answer
  17. Bought Monaco. And I simply couldn't resist any longer...bought Rogue Legacy, too.
  18. Update: Wrote the lady a message on Monday ("Want to go see a movie with me, blablabla?"). Still no response. Is it too much to ask for a "Thanks, but I'm not interested.", "Fuck off, you ugly shit!" or just a simple "No."? Well, anyway. Life goes on, I move on, now I will enjoy the sun
  19. Ordered mine without. Don't like the small chains. Yeah, for most people it wouldn't make sense to buy one. I find wristwatches a bit uncomfortable and I don't take my mobile phone with me all the time...
  20. Downloading the demo now. Will wait 'til the last day of the Steam sale. If the price doesn't go down, I will buy the game at the official page. Price is in $ there, so the conversion rate will make it about 2€ cheaper than the price Steam is asking for. Edit: Played for 3 minutes. Died twice. I want the full game...NOW!
  21. Probably a bit late, but in case you haven't already found it: There you go. I'm a bit nervous about the quality, but we'll see.
  22. 1. 2. Idiosyncrasy Juxtaposition Stagnation Discombobulate Psychiatry I love how those words sound. 3. This, but I can't order it since I don't live in Canada or the US Absolute knowledge about Quantum Physics - or an idea for a novel.
  23. I will. Gonna keep both optimism and pessimism locked away. No idea how she will respond. But that's the beauty, anything can happen. And no matter what the outcome will be, I'll be glad I did something.
