  1. The way they approach discussions and certain points of view, yes. That takes away the enjoyment. You don't have to agree, you don't have to understand, but you should be able to at least accept that.
  2. No. I never said that anybody was in the wrong or in the right. I only said that Nintendo Fans are taking away my enjoyment from discussing things.
  3. I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to everybody saying exactly what I posted.
  4. Agree with you there, and while we both love "love sticking the boot in" (I'd use "love to enter a discussion") and "thrive off the arguments" (I'd much rather say "thrive off the discussions"), it's something I don't want to miss. I love discussing things. Heck, I have massive discussions about the gaming industry and developers with my best mate every time we meet up to play video games. However, the constant bickering going in the Nintendo boards takes the fun away. And yes, it's because Nintendo fans on here get way too defensive and in turn the tone switches from friendly to sometimes aggressive. I'm not innocent, I tend to react passionately and apparently rile people up. I realize that and it should change. The thing is: This happens only in the Nintendo Boards and again, that's due to certain members and their way of arguing. And that's why I will stay away from these boards more and more (I can visualize some happy faces right now :p). Also: People recommending that we should just accept that there are two sides and accept that without further commenting on issues should really think about what they are saying. If everyone accepts everything discussions come to a halt and this place would die out soon.
  5. Source - Eurogamer.net Looks pretty sweet. Think I'll give this one a go. : peace:
  6. Beware, lovey-dovey post incoming. I'm hopelessly in love It's still a bit...strange? I mean, I've been in love before, I've had strong feelings for women before, but with my current girlfriend it's something else entirely. We've been together for 4 months now (2 months prior to that we had 'something' going on ) and it's a bit ridiculous how much I love her. It could be dangerous if it all turns to shit somehow someday, but let's hope this doesn't happen. I'll just enjoy the situation now. Go ahead @nightwolf, throw your fucking "oh, that's cute", "cool story bro'", "adorable shit as always", "You are everything I want in a man, take me here and now" gifs at me.
  7. Bought it just now. Not sure when I'll give it a go, though. The premise is certainly interesting.
  8. I haven't dismissed it, I just didn't agree and thought it wasn't all that serious. Trust me, if I think someone is bullying a person I'm the first to step in. Of course, people's views on when a certain behaviour against someone is bullying or not differ. And in that particular I case I thought it was not bullying. Thank you for addressing my posts and I do see where you're coming from. My wording hasn't been the best. This is partly due to me not being a native English speaker (this is not meant as an easy excuse, it's just that my vocabulary is not diverse enough to make my points as clear as they should be). Mostly, though it's because I'm still annoyed at how some people reacted to a couple of my posts in several threads. I need to calm down and maybe think about my posts more in this thread from now on.
  9. Didn't exclusively mean your PS4 talk, I was also talking about your horrible "DIS GAME NEEDS VOICE CHAT" posts. Sorry, should've made that clear.
  10. The thing is: That wouldn't be the problem if you didn't do it so bloody often. And I'm sure that everyone agrees you do it just to rile others up. Just as @Cube said in his first post here.
  11. I was basically thinking of the things you mentioned (Destiny, PSN being down, DLC pricing, etc). To me personally, it's a matter of him coming across as arrogant. I don't know how he is in 'real life' but often times his posts carry a hint of arrogance that I can't help but notice (especially when it comes to him mentioning that he has 'inside knowledge' because he's the owner of a major Pokémon site - Bulbapedia, isn't it? :p). Don't get me wrong, I envy him of his achievement but the fact that he keeps mentioning that is a bit narcissistic. I like his attitude, being positive about Nintendo. It's a good thing to have. Passion. But sometimes he needs to calm down a bit and not be rude (same goes for others, as well, of course).
  12. Yeah. And that moment was just creating an outburst of Schadenfreude. Nothing too serious in my view.
  13. Well, even when I came into a thread of a game that I have played and said something negative about it, I was being ridiculed. I want to love Nintendo again, I want to enjoy their games, but when they throw stuff at me like the latest Digital Event at E3 I'd like to voice my opinion and since this is the only forum for me, I do it here. But I do it less and less, because you really can't say anything negative in the Nintendo Boards. Also: I don't think the "crapping it up" is happening as much as it used to. Exactly my point. When there's shit going on, either all agree or the disagreeing posts are calm and not aggressive. Oh, the irony.
  14. I disagree. I think lots of people would love to play Nintendo games and be more interested in Nintendo again. And that's why they voice their opinion (which, of course, are negative given the current situation).
  15. Great thread, @Rummy. Thank you very much for addressing this. I may write a longer post if I find the time to give the issue more thought, but there is one thing I would like to say: The inevitable comparison to the Other Consoles Board. Whenever someone writes something negative in a Nintendo thread, it goes downhill quite fast. Someone is getting very defensive about the argument at hand very quickly and often uses a harsh language which in turn provokes a response that is equally offensive. Sometimes people are even ridiculed for voicing a negative opinion. I'm not saying one side is right and the other side is wrong. What's wrong is the language and the way it gets personal way too quickly. Now, when I see 'arguments' in the Other Consoles Board they are rational and calm. Opinions are accepted but critically challenged without being offensive or personal. I have no idea why there is such a huge difference in tone between the two boards...but the tone in the Nintendo Forums are making me want to post less and less there...
  16. Huge bump. The game has officially been released on PS4 and the European servers are finally up and running. Entered the game and instantly had to defend an outpost We lost it We instantly tried to retake it, but I logged off for now. The battle probably still continues. It seems fun, the shooting mechanics are rewarding. Controls are a bit iffy (pressing L1 + R1 to throw a grenade...) but I'm getting used to them. A bit overwhelmed by everything...the scope, HUD, menus, buying stuff, classes, loadouts, currencies... May be a game I will spend some more time with.
  17. It's been way too long for me to remember correctly, but I think you're right. On my PS2 version I farmed a perfect (perfect for my taste) armor for every character I never fought Penance, though.

  19. Haven't played much, but so far I don't mind the Batmobile sections. Especially when the vehicle is used for Riddler's challenges. But I can see myself getting sick of the Batmobile when I've played more...
  20. I agree with Retro_Link. Journey is something special and such an emotional game. Play it in one session and definitely while you're online, it is worth it.
  21. Is it ok if I answer your questions? :p Earth Eater is the only way to grind Fortune Spheres, sadly...fortunately you only need a luck stat of about 120. Still...this is the most annoying part in stat-maxing. The best armor would be (in my experience from a couple of years ago): Ribbon Break HP Limit Auto Haste Auto Pheonix You definitely want Ribbon... Dark Aeons have a chance to drop armor with, Ribbon, Break HP Limit and 2 free slots, so this will be your best shot. Defeat a Dark Aeon and if it doesn't drop the armor, reload and try again. If you have defeated every Dark Aeon already...well...time to farm some more...
  22. XBoxOne doubled its sales. Good week for Microsoft.
  23. Thanks, guys : peace: Have been reading up on that a bit just now. There are several Intermittent Fasting Schedules. Think I'll give the following one a go: I don't breakfast at all so that's basically a perfect foundation. Does the app count calories/day or calories/week? I'll probably follow Daft's advice and count calories per week.
