Seems that way. Just reached the first boss and so far the second game is even easier than the first Still, it's quite a relaxing experience.

Yeah, that's what I take away from it after playing. I mean, there were some funny bits, some songs are brilliant and the fights are quite fun, though. It's not a bad game per se, just not for me Thankfully. I was worried that I wouldn't get out of my slump for quite some time. It helped that I stopped trying to find a JRPG I want to play. Putting my focus on "smaller" titles got me back into it. Now that I've finished Undertale I'm actually in the mood again for Spyro. I never played the second and third installment of the original series so I'm looking forward to the remakes. Maybe they are more difficult than the first one?

Undertale finished, Platinum get. Didn't really enjoy it. Battle mechanics were ok...pretty much bullet hell. The rest was meh. Not my thing.

Spyro the Dragon done. Lovely game. I was wondering why it took me almost a week to get the Platinum even though my playtime only amounts to 5 1/2 hours. Here's the reason: It was too bloody easy. It just didn't grab my attention for more than 30-45 minutes per session. The low difficulty is not an objective criticism, it's just that I'm not really into easy games. Give me tough challenges and I can play for hours without a break Well, this was the only issue I had with the game. Enjoyed my time with it. I will, however, take a hiatus from the trilogy. Not in the mood for another easy game right away. So...what to play next? Good question. Supposedly the Apex Legend battle pass will arrive tomorrow, so that'll take up some of my time. And anytime in March Path of Exile will be released on PS4. Still no definite release date, but I reckon I have at least until the final week of March to play and finish one game. I might just go with Undertale on my Vita.

Alright..."You tubby little ginger cunt" got me. Will watch it!

Nothing beats the DMC 3 Tournament videos from back in the day. Good old 240p.

It's the same for me, so no vote from me.

This is the reason, yes.

19th November. If anybody congratulates me that day, I will lose my shit.

It's international women's day and I got a weird look from a female superior (not directly mine, though) because I answered "no" to her question: "So, did you guys already congratulate women today?". This is gonna be a fun day, isn't it...

Made some more progress with Spyro the Dragon. It's such a lovely game and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Currently in the second world, trying to 100% every level from the start. It's not particularly difficult, but the levels where you have to fly and get all the objectives in one go can be a little tricky if you don't know the best route. If you do, however, they're piss easy Can't wait to spend some more time with it on Sunday The last two evenings, while the Champions and Euro League were on TV in the background, I played a little game called Devious Dungeon on my Vita. I got this for 4 bucks quite some time ago. Without any research aside from looking at the screenshots I decided to just get it. Almost done with it (including the Platinum) and what can I say...it sucks It runs like shit on the Vita, which is surprising given how the pixelated graphics aren't even good; the gameplay is boring...run around trying to find a key, kill enemies (you only have one button to attack; no variation whatsoever), find the exit, rinse repeat. There's a rogue-like element (you get coins every run to buy upgrades) but even that is so barebones it's ridiculous. Anyway, will power through this sometime over the weekend and immediately delete it after I'm done. So was it worth the 4€? Fuck no! Will I play the PS4 version to get another Platinum (it's cross-buy with separate trophy lists)? Fuck no! At least it'll be gone from my backlog. Edit: Devious Dungeon done and forgotten.
-
@Hero-of-Time I've noticed you already got trophies for this game. Has the time finally come where you automatically get trophies whenever a game gets released or did you get your copy early? Is it as good as I want it to be? Please say no, because I don't know if I can afford it right now.

Oh well, my mistake This one

This one It was 17€ over here in Germany when I bought it. Now it hovers around 20€.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero complete and Platinum get. Quite the fun little platformer. But the more Metroidvanias I play, the less I seem to like them. Here's hoping Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be able to rekindle my love for the genre. Anyway, on to Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Borrowed it from a mate and started playing yesterday. What a wonderful remake

Ah fuck. I was only going to buy either this or Sekiro this month. Looks like it'll be both...
-
Damn, now I have to decide, Devil May Cry 5 or Final Fantasy.. Edit: It's going to be DMC. There will eventually be another FF sale and right now I just don't need the games.

Haven't watched the video, yet, but here's my two cents about the current GaaS situation (a little messy and with no real structure): Personally, I don't mind having the opportunity to play one or two games like these. Right now Apex Legends is providing me with so much fun Mid-march Path of Exile will be released. If it's as good as I expect it to be, there'll be two games from the GaaS sector that I will play for quite some time. What I like about those kinds of games is: I can play them in between other games. Fire them up for a quick round or play them for hours. Bonus: They are free. GaaS have a right to exist. I do realize, however, that the amount of GaaS being shoved into the industry is insane. It's the worst when they are a buggy mess (e.g. Anthem, PUBG). Devs lure people in with promises like "here's what you get in the upcoming year". You know what? Why not take some more time to develop the game and offer all of this content immediately? There is no way, GaaS will go extinct anytime soon, though. The current trend of YouTubers and Twitch streamers making videos a la "I OPEN 80000 LOOT BOXES" is what rakes in money for publishers/devs. Yes, the casual crowd slowly realizes that micro transactions need to die, but the so called "whales" are a much more powerful force right now. DLC or real expansions are a different thing. If they are meaty enough I can get behind them. I'm in the same boat. While I do like some "inbetweeners" as I mentioned above, a complete package is what I will always prefer. That's why I'm so in love with the PSVita. Everything on there is complete (because the Vita is now at the end of its life...). I very much appreciate what Sony and Nintendo have done in recent times: Provide (single-player) experiences that are complete and I hope that both continue with that approach forever.

Started playing Shantae: Half-Genie Hero on my Vita. According to the save file I'm at 54% completion. So far it's a pretty fun platformer with some exploration. Pretty easy, though. But I'm still enjoying it. Nice to play with some YouTube stuff in the background. Sky Force Reloaded is getting quite tough. I've reached the final (regular) level and the boss is kicking my ass. Looks like I have to grind for more upgrades. Not sure if I'll immediately go for the Platinum once I finish the "story", especially since I'll borrow the Spyro Trilogy from a mate tomorrow.

What a fucking spectacularly good show Russian Doll is. It balances hilariously funny and mournfully sad perfectly. Natasha Lyonne's performance is nothing short of masterful. I'll be sure to annoy everyone I know with a recommendation in the next few months.

VA-11 HALL-A done, Platinum get. Interesting little "game". It's pretty much a book with one very simple "gameplay" mechanic, i.e. mixing drinks (nothing more than finding the recipe and following it). The writing is exceptionally good. Great characters, nice story. If you like visual novels, give this one a chance. (If you want the Platinum, follow a spoiler free guide, unless you want to play the game over and over again)

Just watched the first episode of Russian Doll. Captivating, interesting, wonderful characters. Won't be able to binge it right now, but maybe tomorrow

The new anime and manga thread! [Use Spoiler Tags!]
drahkon replied to Shorty's topic in General Chit Chat
@Kav Are you watching the The Promised Neverland anime? While the manga is better, the anime is still really good. So far, the first arc is handled incredibly well. It's so much fun reliving the cat and mouse game in Grace Field.
