  1. Finished the first dungeon. Took me about 70-80 minutes. The puzzles are no joke. If they get more difficult in the future I should expect some nice brain teasers. The boss kicked my ass three times, but then I've gotten used to the fact that dashing wasn't as useful as simply running away from its attacks. Overall: An amazing dungeon with cool puzzles (I guess later on there will be just variations/more complex puzzles incorporating the mechanics that are available to me; which is fine by me) and a challenging boss. Unlocked the first element, and yes, combat got more varied Spent a few more minutes finding/opening all the chests I've missed. Now it's time to move on.
  2. Insta-fail stealth sections? Absolute no-go.
  3. Phew, the Switch version suffers from some serious FPS drops once you get a few upgrades (more bullets, etc.). Turns the game into a slideshow from time to time. And there's a pet that flies around you which can block your own bullets. If you have exploding bullets you hurt yourself so freaking much Gotta pay attention, once it hatches out of an egg. I'm loving the game, though. Beat one "major boss" which opened up new levels. Also unlocked a few items/mechanics. The rogue-lite mechanics in this game are great
  4. And you haven't played it, yet? You are a madman
  5. Phew, gonna be tough to remember all the bands I've seen at the three festivals I've been to...The bold bands/musicians I've also seen live on one (or more) of their tours A = Alt-J, Alligatoah (a German rapper) B = Billy Talent C = D = Disturbed E = Enter Shikari, Ellie Goulding, Editors F = Florence and the Machine G = Gossip H = I = IAMX J = Jay-Z K = Kate Nash L = Limp Bizkit M = Muse, Maroon 5 N = Nothing But Thieves O = One Republic P = Placebo, Peter Fox (German singer), Papa Roach, Parov Stelar Band Q = R = Rage Against the Machine, Rise Against, Rammstein S = Shinedown, Slipknot, Serj Tankian, Scars on Broadway T = The Toxic Avenger, Thirty Seconds to Mars U = V = Viza W = X = Y = Z = I've seen Muse live 5 times now, Rise Against four times (back when I was a young lad), Disturbed and Billy Talent 3 times. This year I'll hopefully see IAMX for the fourth time. If Nothing But Thieves do a tour for their upcoming album, I'll definitely try to see 'em again, too. They are amazing.
  6. Well, it's the biggest reason, but not the only one. Why not go with "fought a shark...you should see its scar"?
  7. This got released today. Bought it at midnight and did two runs before going to sleep. I failed but it was awesome. It plays great and the rogue-lite (whoever wrote that description on YouTube is wrong...it's not a roguelike) mechanics seem to be spot-on. I know there aren't a lot of people (if any) who enjoy rogue-lites, but maybe someone will give it a go. There's a demo, available, too, but it suffers from some balancing and technical issues.
  8. 2D Platformer Close one, but it has to be Rayman Legends. It's full of that goofy Rayman charm, has incredible controls, the co-op is so much fun, and the music...OH THE MUSIC. Adding to all the amazing things: There are 40 levels from Rayman Origins to unlock. They don't play as well as the sequel's levels, but it's still a nice bonus. And don't forget Kung Foot. I wish they'd make a full game out of this one Rayman Legends takes the number two spot of "drahkon's favourite games ever". I bought this game on PS3, PS4, PSVita and WiiU (sold most of them, though, 'cause money). Will definitely get it on Switch, too, when it's on sale again
  9. @Eenuh Don't forget your awesome Christmas cards
  10. Spent some more time with it just now after a break over the weekend. Completed quite a few sidequests. Pretty standard stuff, but wrapped in some cute little stories. Unlocked a few combat arts, so fighting is a bit more varied, but still kind of basic. I would assume that it'll open up more once I've unlocked the first element. The FPS drops are getting more and more annoying. The devs claim they've fixed it in the upcoming patch. Really hope that's true. Nintendo needs to get their shit together and reduce their patch certification time. Lots of indie devs have been complaining and I've experienced this with a few games now.
  11. I don't want kids. I haven't thought about it until I was like 25 but I can say with 100% certainty that I do not want to be a father. My dad died in 2009 (when I was 19) and I still occasionally struggle with it. It's the biggest reason why I don't want kids: The possibility that I could die and my child feels the way I felt when I lost my father. Edit: It always sounds weird to me when I say it out loud (or in this case write it down).
  12. I've been going through all the Angry Video Game Nerd seasons recently. I think that's the 4th time...
  13. Stefan's my name, everybody calls me Radi (thankfully) I'm from Germany was an Air Traffic Controller for a few years but quit due to being incredibly unhappy with that job now I'm 30 year old student (Applied Molecular Biotechnology) with no degree, yet (please don't ask how long I've been a student...) working part time (15 hours per week) to finance living in the city of my university (Aachen), my studies and my biggest hobby: video games I'm into comedy and would love to write something (little stand-up routine, a sketch, a joke) but no inspiration so far been single for a few years; had some chances for relationships but blew 'em 'cause of my commitment issues (thanks for that, ex girlfriend) fun fact: I've watched all Harry Potter movies this year...for the first time in my life I like to get drunk/high, but reduced the frequency of being in that state (now maybe once per month; it was once or twice per week for a while) recently got more into playing the e-guitar I've had for 10 years now (I know a few chords, can play a few songs, but that's it) Edit: I forgot: Slay the Spire !
  14. Credits Sequence - Rayman Legends Town or Village - Treno from Final Fantasy IX Rich assholes, card games, battle arena...what more do you need Great theme song, too. Play it on 1.75x speed and it's straight out of a silent movie Favourite Awful Game - Don't really have one...Might have to agree with @Julius and go with Fifa...I buy the newest installment every two years, I rage hard, I hate everything about it, but I love it Best Open World City Game - GTA Vice City Spent a lot of time in my youth with this one. I used so many mods...flying around with a tank never gets old.
  15. Don't even remember the last time I paid full price for a game (phyiscal AAA copies; digital indie games I sometimes pay full price day-one). Sure, prices will go up but with enough digging around you can get all games for less than RRP even on release day.
  16. I thought the season 2 ending was just a very boring and predictable way to keep it going. It also ruined all the suspense because: I will, but only when I'm really bored
  17. Wow, totally forgot about the series, to be honest. Still have 3 episodes left of the final season but I fell out of love...
  18. Yup, as expected: The laggy menus are annoying as hell. Frame rate in towns can also be very choppy. It actually hurts my eyes at times. Really hope Nintendo hurries up with the patch certification...going from reddit comments, a patch is done but Nintendo's taking their sweet sweet time as always. Anyways, aside from the issues, the game is awesome I think I'm out of the tutorial (after 90 minutes) and the game has somewhat opened up.
  19. SUPER. HOT. SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years! And now we get more. For free (if you purchased the original). This is awesome.
  20. Don't think so. It's getting very little representation in the gaming news world. No trailers on the Nintendo and Sony channels. It's on GamePass, so that might help, but I doubt this'll be anything other than a hidden gem (if it's really as good as it seems).
  21. Digital version is out now on all consoles, physical copies will release at the end of August. I've started playing this 40 minutes ago and I'm still in the tutorial So far, so good. Plays really well and looks beautiful. Major gripe: Menus are laggy as hell. Not a problem for now, because I don't need to use 'em, but I assume that once the game opens up and equipment and skills are introduced I'll get annoyed really quickly. As far as I know, a patch is in the works but we all know how much time Nintendo likes to dabble around with patch certifications
  22. Alatreon sucks. The fight forces you to play a certain way (elemental builds, use a myriad of healing items) because the monster has a nuke attack that will wipe out everyone unless you deal enough of the right elemental damage (Alatreon switches between three...) to weaken that attack. It's a DPS check...deal enough damage or fail. It's early days but the community seems to agree with my first assessment. As a blast main, I can pretty much say goodbye to getting Alatreon's gear. No way I will spend time farming for an elemental build that might not even work well enough to pass the DPS check. Edit: After a few more fights: I'm done with this...that nuke is ridiculous. The thing is: everything else is absolutely amazing. Alatreon hits hard, and is just fun to fight. That one attack, though...ruins everything.
  23. A friend's flatmate showed symptoms. His parents and sister had it (tested positive) and he spent a few days with them while they were still asymptomatic. He got tested...negative. Weird Other than that...I don't know anyone who was tested positive or showed symptoms.
