  1. Still playing this. Having so much fun Can't wait to see how the game improves but even in its current state it's a blast. Insane numbers.
  2. It's easier to press without taking the right thumb away from the analogue stick. It is a game changer for shooters
  3. Some information (and lovely images) on PS5's accessories: Check a look Still annoyed that the DualSense doesn't have back buttons...if my Nacon Revolution Pro controller gets updated to work with the new console, I'll never use the DualSense. Back buttons are a game changer.
  4. Do you like Takeshi's Castle? Are you a person who likes to have fun? Is crying in emotional pain your thing? Then Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is the game for you! It's free on PS+ and costs 20 bucks on Steam. Even with the limited time I've spent with it: It's worth every penny I spent 10 bucks for a costume pack just to support the devs Managed to get 2 wins in a row today, but there's no way I will ever go for the 5 wins in succession Edit: Playing with two friends and the amount of screaming, laughing and crying is insane
  5. There are more. Not sure how the game decides which one you get to play (randomly, based on player count), though. Managed to get about 5 matches yesterday and I have won one of those It's a shame that there's a "win 5 matches in a row" trophy...the game can screw you quite a lot and it's not as skill based as it seems so...not going to go for that Platinum. I'll probably to the same. With the limited time I had I could already see that I will be playing this for months (especially if the devs keep their promise of adding new events). I did the same thing with Rocket League. I've spent about 30 bucks on it because getting it for free on PS+ felt kinda "wrong"
  6. They really do know what they're doing and haven't been resting on their laurels for the past 7 years. Very impressive. Still, they could botch up the immediate future significantly with a high PS5 price POINT. It's kind of exciting to see how Sony will handle it Especially considering how bad their XBX showings have been so far. Bit of a shame as I would've liked MS and Sony to be in a constant state of eye-to-eye competition to push each other further.
  7. Played two rounds of Fall Guys just now. It's hilarious, fun, infuriating, emotional.
  8. I...don't know? Not sure how to "measure" strength I can hold down strings fairly easily, if that's what you mean. Feels like my entire wrist eventually hurts after that exercise. Can't really point my finger on where exactly the pain's coming from. Maybe...I know where to put my thumb when I use chords on the first few frets of the neck, but the further down I go the weirder my thumb placement looks like... It's weird, when I do the exercise on the 1st to 4th frets it's so easy, but between the 9th and 12th fret it's much more difficult... Edit: Tried to take some pictures for reference (not sure if it's helpful...quite difficult to take pictures with one hand while the other is handling the guitar )
  9. Fair enough.
  10. Finished Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered (I said I wouldn't do it...I'M A LIAR...ehem). Well...solid shooter. Nothing more, nothing less. Completed it on Veteran and because some areas have infinitely respawning enemies it was hell at times. It was fun, though. Quite the interesting story which ended a little abruptly, sadly. In other news: I started playing SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE, the sequel to the most innovative shooter I've played in years. SUPER HOT SUPER HOT SUPER HOT
  11. This will be interesting. Didn't EA announce that the next FIFA will have some big things in store for PS5? It will no doubt be released on PS4, too, but it's going to be interesting to see how EA handles the announcement of either versions' features.
  12. Sure, but that holds true for the past, present and the future. I think the reaction to Sony saying "Pre-order now" will always be "awesome!" (depending on the price, of course). I think it's pretty clear that it is. For Sony. The upcoming State of Play will surely be for third party games only, which I think is great for the devs. The PS4 player base is huge and giving devs a show to present their games is pretty nifty. There's no doubt there's still a substantial demand for PS4 games. Of course, I'd also love to hear more news on the PS5, but for now, I'll be happy to tune in on Thursday and see what's in store for the console that's still rocking the show
  13. As with everything Sony has done so far regarding the PS5: They know what they're doing. Pretty much every little (and big) thing they announced (be it via a stream or just a photo on social media) was a huge hit. This State of Play won't affect the PS5 marketing negatively at all. I think the PS5 advertising during CL is a pretty big "pounce".
  14. CoD and Crash will make up the most of this. Other than that...we'll see. And I can't wait to read all the complaints about how there were no PS5 related news in the event
  15. Ah, The Messenger. One of the best game ever made. Here's what I've written about it in the Gaming Diary Thread. Also:
  16. Really? I think it aged quite poorly. I appreciate what it did for 3D platforming, but it's clunky and doesn't play as well as people think, in my opinion.
  17. Thanks for reminding me to buy this game on Switch, @Julius It's only about 6€ on the Russian eShop right now. A no-brainer.
  18. 2D Platformers: Retro choice: Super Mario World on SNES. A game I could play forever. Looks gorgeous, has some catchy tunes and plays perfectly. General choice: Rayman Legends. A masterpiece. It oozes charm that no other 2D platformer can match. Awesome music, beautiful to look at and it also plays perfectly. Couple that with insanely fun co-op (which usually turns into someone annoying the other players ) and you get the best 2D platformer ever made. Added bonus: Kung Foot (and some levels from Rayman Origins, but they're not as good as the sequel's levels). 3D Platformers: (Not so) Retro choice: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy You could argue that this is 2.5D platforming, but I'll round the number up It's difficult, plays like the originals and it's Crash Bandicoot. What more could you want. General choice: Ratchet & Clank (PS4) No other 3D platformer comes close to the joy this game delivers.
  19. Don't know how to stretch my little finger to the thickest string (doing that exercise I've mentioned before) without turning my hand/wrist so much that it starts to hurt. I simply can't "just stretch" only my little finger 'cause it's too short. Anybody got some advice?
  20. Day 30 - Personal Gaming Tradition Hm...I'm gonna break the rules again and just mention a few things: Firstly: Multiplayer games with friends. Either online with one group or offline with another. Right now my online gaming is made up of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. One of my best friends and some other people I know through him (never seen 'em in real life) regularly play this one and it's a blast. Offline multiplayer usually happens when I visit my mom and then see a few of my best mates. We meet up, eat fast food, get drunk and play. As for a "real" tradition: My yearly playthrough of Super Mario World around Christmas. Usually it's on the second or third day of Christmas after dinner. I retreat to my childhood bedroom, pour myself a glass of whiskey, get out a pack of Red Band wine gum (see picture below; wine gum + liquorice = me in heaven), plug in the SNES and just have a session of good old masterclass platforming
  21. As expected.
  22. Yup, this. No contest
  23. Yup, got my running style analyzed and all.
  24. Still having trouble with my knees after a run. Made an appointment with an orthopedist on Monday and get it checked. I am still going to go for a run later today
