Maybe it'll be like the Maneater situation where people got refunded if they bought the PS5 version before.

Destruction AllStars (PS5, February 2021 as part of PS+)

Watching now Edit: Looks like a lot of fun -
Wow!

Yup, got that info via a Kickstarter mail. Would be the absolute worst. I've come to terms with the big companies buying out some larger studios, but I hate it when independent studios are acquired Especially one as talented as Playtonic Games. Their games should be played by all.

After completing Yakuza: Like a Dragon and now that I'm playing Dragon Quest II I've decided to put away Wargroove for now. It seems to be a good game but I'm in the mood for something less "static". So I'll put my focus on DQII. I'm also currently installing the PS5 version of my Borderlands 3 copy and of Warframe. Will give each a go and see whether I'm in the mood to play either BL3 again or try to finally get into Warframe My mate and and I played through Castle Crashers Remastered again. And we will do so at least one more time. We're going for the Platinum so we have to collect some stuff. It's not really necessary to play the entire game again, but we figured: Why not? It's fun
-
Don't think I did. If I remember correctly I had to sell a few games and sadly DQXI was one of them. I intend to play the Definite Edition at one point and do everything. This game deserves my time again and I really want to get the Platinum

Dragon Quest I, II & III are heading West on September 27th!

Pff...in order to progress you sometimes have to stop doing something you love -

Jeez louise, that shit's getting annoying. Had to make my way through a tower/lighthouse/whatever and it was a slog. Yes, I did appreciate the experience but sometimes...can't believe I'm about to say this...sometimes the grind has to stop Took me almost an hour and now I'm done with DQII for tonight... -
Coli bacteria have been found in the tap water in our city. We've been advised to boil the water before use.

DQXI allowed targeting individual enemies (however, apparently not in the 2D version, as that weird frog-Pokémon-avatar-having-person mentioned). Would suck some serious balls if the battle system keeps it half-assed targeting throughout my journey. I eventually want to finish all Dragon Quest games of the main series (except DQX for obvious reasons). -
*me reading this thread* This is more confusing than Primer's plot.

Put a little more time into DQII just now. Acquired the ship and am now off to the east. I've read that this entry in the Dragon Quest series is supposed to be the hardest (and one of the hardest JRPGs ever), but so far it's been quite easy. I do a fair bit of grinding, but to be honest it's a lot less than what I do in other games. I'm enjoying it very much, though Just as in the first Dragon Quest game, you have to pay attention to what the people are saying to you. If you don't, you risk not knowing what to do and where to go. The game does suffer from a few issues, just as the first one. Menus are slow (especially selling items), battle system is still kinda clunky (not being able to target enemies properly is some grade A bullcrap) and the encounter rate is cranked up the ass. But it's Dragon Quest. The charm keeps me hooked and I love it -
The game starts with a bang... you control an evil character you kill the king war And that's the prologue First two missions of act 1 were your typical tutorial shenanigans and I assume the next few missions will introduce a lot more game mechanics. I can see the game becoming quite complicated pretty quickly. Characters seem lively, the game is lovely to look at, story so far is a little meh, but overall Wargroove is not bad. Not bad at all.

Aaaaaaaanyway Took me 14 attempts to beat The Not So Impossible Lair, 5 of them I spent trying to complete the first checkpoint without being hit once. Even with me not enjoying how the final level is designed, I'm still going to give Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair a 5/5 rating. It's a fun, challenging yet fair (most of the time ) 2D-plaftormer. Actually, one of the very best of the genre. It puts Donkey Kong to shame, in my opinion. Can't wait to see what Playtonic Games has in store next.
-
Ah, then I misunderstood. Indeed. And I understand that. It's just that I hate a levels that are designed that way Apparently I never played many platformers like that. My experience with games from those times seems to be a bit different.

Disagree. It's only on the player once you know what to expect. Yes, there is a pattern, but there are certain parts where you have no time to figure out that pattern. Example: There's an upwards jump you have to make and during the camera scrolling upwards a heat seeking missile is launched. You couldn't even see the canon. There's almost no way you can escape the hit. Just made it to that section again and wouldn't you know it: I didn't get hit by the missile 'cause I knew there was one The challenges'/patterns'/jumps' difficulty is actually perfect, in my opinion. It's just that more often than not you can't figure out how to approach these things 'cause you simply don't have the time. It's why I love the old Mega Man games. You enter a new screen and have time to scan the area and even when there's enemies approaching you still are able to assess the situation and react accordingly. These games were difficult for the right reasons. Well, that's not really a problem for me
-
Gave it a few tries. On my first attempt today I got to the third checkpoint with 15 bees left. No idea if that's enough for the next part + its boss. I'm also pretty sure that this'll be the remaining sections of the level. Sadly, this level sucks. The difficulty usually comes from not knowing what to expect and sometimes not having enough time to react/plan ahead. It all comes down to: memorization and I hate that shit in platforming games (edit: case in point: Just "beat" the first section without being hit; it's not a necessarily difficult level on its own, but if you don't know what's coming you will get hit) Pretty sure I'll get it done today after a few more tries, but it's a shame that this level will affect my overall impressions of this game quite negatively
-
Everything's done except the final level. Haven't given it another go, yet, but will definitely try to complete it tomorrow.
-
Yeah, I know
-
Wow, way to go calling your newest family member boring Congrats
-
Good question. 2019 was 7 years ago, so does Wargroove hold up?
-
I probably wouldn't have bothered with it for a while if I was able to afford new games but I'll definitely give it a go once I'm done with Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair.

Just got a surprise in the mail. Apparently there was an offer for physical copies (PS4) on Amazon.de a few days ago. 6.70€ per copy. My sister's boyfriend ordered two. One for him, of course. And he sent the other one to me Tried Advance Wars many times but always stopped for some reason. It never was about the game itself, but rather about the fact that other games/things got in the way. Well, time to give this one a go soon.
