Man...2021 is weird.
-
You weren't kidding But I'm enjoying it quite a lot. The upgrade system is awesome. Make your ship stronger and breeze through levels, or sell upgrades to make the game a little harder (well, it's still quite easy...defeating bosses just gets annoying 'cause they take a million hits if you don't power up your weapons). Beat level 5 just now and unlocked Invasion Mode. Gonna give it a whirl soon.
-
Yeah, I'll give it a go after watching some gameplay.

The fist game is on sale for 1,74€. Would I enjoy it?

Impressive. This is how you do a port

As a German I can say: Yes, that's how it's supposed to be

COVID-19 (The artist formally known as Coronavirus)

Tomorrow's the day...our government will decide. Numbers are way down compared to December last year. Lockdown needs to continue for (at least) another two weeks, though, in my opinion. Give us a perspective for the time in March and beyond, but until then: keep pushing the numbers down, please. -
Recently, a game that I've been interested in for a long time has gone on sale and I was able to afford it. So I bought it. It's a Peggle-y rouge-lite dungeon-crawler. Given my love for Peggle and rogue-lites this seemed like a no-brainer. And sure enough: I'm enjoying it a lot. The random nature of both gameplay mechanics is balanced by each character's skills which let you bounce around, use AoE attacks or fight enemies from a distance. It works surpringly well. Presentation is nothing special but it's sufficient. The game is a tad on the easy side, which is always a negative for me Still, I'm having lots of fun. A few runs away from the Platinum and I think I'm done with Roundguard after that. A game needs to be truly special for me to go after highscores and leaderboards

Played Tearaway on my Vita and got the Platinum. Absolutely loved it. Can't say anything about Unfolded, though...I've started it years ago but dropped it pretty quickly. If you haven't played it already go and get Severed.

Started to become quite anxious a few hours ago and just needed to kinda get lost somewhere else and I remembered @Julius' post about What Remains of Edith Finch, specifically: So I did exactly that. Gotta echo pretty much everything Julius said in his post. It's a wonderful experience. A story not about a mystery but a story about stories. Perfectly crafted, masterfully executed. If anybody ever tells me that video games can't be art, What Remains of Edith Finch might be the first game I'll show them. Experiencing the story was a very calming experience (mostly) and it helped me a lot just now

I don't see the issue

Can you show me the cutscene so I... know what you're talking about?
-
A concert/tour that's been delayed multiple times over the past 10 months has now been cancelled for good. While I kinda knew this was inevitable I was still holding out hope Oh well, hope IAMX will be able to do live shows next year.

I thought your name is Arthhur...

Fair enough. With Hades there's also lore that you're rewarded with, though. And it's pretty great. Probably not enough to pull you in if the general gist of rogue-lites puts you off.

COVID-19 (The artist formally known as Coronavirus)

New infections are going down here in Germany, but they're still quite high (10k per day on average). There's already talks of planning to ease the lockdown. Watch our government make the same mistake again... -
Finished Borderlands 3 with a new character again. This time I rushed through the story and power leveled the character in order to catch up with two mates. There's been quite a few additions/revamps since I last played the game. Pretty much higher difficulties with modifiers and better loot. A lot of fun. Still the best "loot-shooter" out there. Now that my mates also got the first season pass we're going to play through all DLC from that. Already looked up a build I wanna pursue. Gonna be lots of fun getting the gear, playing through the DLCs (which are supposed to be quite good) and just having a great time with my friends

PS5 matched the PS4 record. Very impressive numbers, especially considering the pandemic. Again: Props to Microsoft and Sony for releasing their next gen consoles during these times.

Triple posting in case you wanna see some screenshots from the very first scene with the new patch: Still holds up almost 3 years later

Just read that Give Me God Of War on NG+ will be riddled with one-shot-kills unless you're equipped with NG+ armor...ah well, I've finished the game once on that difficulty, think I'll just start NG+ on the second highest By the way...the game looks incredible after the patch. I mean...it looked insanely good before, but it's even better now. And the 60fps just sweetens the deal.
-
It says I played 72 hours last year...in total. What do think? True or false
-
But I want to brag Nah, I remember originally playing on Give Me God Of War and thoroughly enjoying it. I didn't get killed in one hit, which allows for at least one mistake. It's a weird one. I expected it to be really difficult, but the one-shot thing is just more annoying than anything... I might just cave in and farm for the best armor on a non-NG+ save. I want to finish Control first, anyways, before starting a new God of War playthrough, so farming might actually be nice when I want to take a break from Control
