  1. That's H-o-T for ya I'm proud of him.
  2. 7 more Bees, a few more T.W.I.T. Coins and Tonics are mine. Won't have time to play much more before Saturday evening It's a shame. This is a game that puts a smile on my face every second Can't believe this game is even better than Playtonic Games' first.
  3. 100 T.W.I.T. Coins, 23 Bees and 29 Tonics are mine. So pretty much half-way through the game. Absolutely loving it. There's so much polish everywhere. Level design is awesome. Wanna play it fast? Make use of the certain flow each level has. Wanna find secrets? Take it slow and look around. At first I thought having two versions of each level (I assume each level has one) is a bit lazy, but boy oh boy was I wrong. The alternate versions play out very differently and it's such a joy to play them. And the overworld...THE OVERWORLD. Filled with secrets, puzzles and awesome NPCs. Obviously, there's also that Playtonic Games charm and humor
  4. 5.5 % of players earned the Platinum? Pff, not that difficult then
  5. Tried it, died. No idea if I made any real progress as I don't know how long it is. Made some dumb mistakes, though, i.e. I lost 5 bees at the same hazard... Will finish the other levels before trying again, though.
  6. No idea, to be honest. Will definitely give it a shot later today.
  7. Now that I'm done with Yakuza: Like a Dragon I I'll be able to put more time into this. Tried the alternate version of level 8 and good lord, some of the T.W.I.T. Coins are tough to find Haven't given the Impossible Lair a try, yet. I doubt I'll get very far with only 14 bees, though
  8. You're a madman
  9. Which platforms are the originals on? SNES, I assume?
  10. Ah, that makes more sense I'll guess I'll use a guide if I'm stuck anyways. For now, it's not that difficult to keep track of where to go. By the way, here's something that I hate: Paul being level 1. Well...it's a very old game, who knows if it would've been possible to make sure he got exp right from the start. Or maybe the devs just forgot
  11. Not entirely sure what you mean by adjective? Hm, I had one right from the start. I guess the remake/remaster just has it unlocked? Found the Prince of Cannock. Are the names of your companions chosen at random? I had the chance to change them, but Paul seemed like a good name
  12. Sorry, was too lazy searching for this thread Thanks for the info Decided to start it up and literally two seconds in that Dragon Quest charm got me hooked Guess what I'm doing...you got it. Getting the grind on
  13. SCREW YOU @RedShell! THIS IS MY THREAD NOW! Hi there, I've just hijacked this thread to ask a few very important questions: How cryptic is Dragon Quest II? I've managed to finish the first game using a guide only once. Should I bookmark one for the second game? How long is Dragon Quest II? After 55 hours of Yakuza: Like a Dragon I'm still in the mood for some JRPG awesomeness, but don't necessarily want to immediately spend another 50 hours with a "new" game. Will I enjoy Dragon Quest II? So far I've played DQI, DQVIII and DQXI and loved 'em all. Thank you very much, see you soon and SCREW YOU REDSHELL!
  14. What a game. Sometimes developers try to mix formulas/gameplay of two different games and they can't make it work. But what the team has done with Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a masterclass and showcase of how it can work. Yakuza's craziness and Dragon Quest's mechanics are a perfect fit but what makes it so special is the care and attention to detail that's been put into this iteration. The battle system is incredible, the presentation is top-notch, Yakuza madness and quality all around, the story is one of the best I've ever experienced in a game (it's got twists and characters that leave you emotionally invested all the way to the end). It just works. 10/10, love it!
  15. It's also my mum's birthday that day. And one of my best friend's, as well. Anyways Played the original back in the PS3 days and I remember enjoying it quite a lot. It did get very repetitive, though, eventually.
  16. Well...Nanba still needs about 60 levels for the Foreman job. Pretty sure the HP is necessary. The other characters are at level 99 with 3 jobs and around level 30 with the others. Am I ready after I've finished the grind with Nanba? Who knows... My set-up will be: Hero Hitman Idol Homeless Guy Should be a pretty good mix of damage and healing. In other news: I think all Yakuza games are on sale in the PSN store right now, in case anybody wants to buy some
  17. It is not and it has never been on sale on PSN in the EU. My mate and I waited on a sale for 6 months...yesterday he got impatient and bought us each a copy So now that we have the game it'll be on sale pretty soon. That's how it works
  18. After another 2 hours of grindiness Ichiban now has three jobs at level 99. The others have two. Decided to take a break from the grind and tackle the first post-game dungeon. What can I say...I breezed through
  19. My best friend wanted to play a co-op game with me so he gifted me Castle Crashers Remastered. We started 4 hours ago and finished it just now So much fun. Brought me back to the good old times when I spent most of my gaming time with my Xbox 360 (the only Microsoft console I ever owned). That's now more than 10 years ago... Think we'll go for the Platinum, which shouldn't be too difficult as you don't have to finish the game in Insane Mode in this remaster. We'll still going to play it
  20. Spent some time grinding jobs and Charisma last Saturday. 48 hours in and I "just" need to finish the two post-game dungeons. Still need to do a lot more grinding for job exp, though.
  21. A JRPG without a good casino always gets minus 1 million points from me.
  22. That's a Dragon Quest-y paragraph alright
  23. Well...it certainly makes me look like a fool
  24. Good to know Thanks. Still have to grind the charisma stat as well as do more Part-Time-Hero missions. Think I'll switch between each grind now and then
