  2. I would have to say these two come to mind: Final Fantasy VIII ending (spoilers for those bothered).: . But the dance scene is pretty awesome too.
  3. Many hours of fun await you on that game. And what a game it is. When Fable II comes to PC you should get that too, as it rocks.
  4. Well, played it for a while today and I have to say, I hate it. Compared to the first game, this one is like being beaten up and urinated on. I cannot even begin to comprehend what drew Rare towards vehicles. It's such a crappy implemented system with clunky controls, and the heavy emphasis on vehicle upgrading is a kick in the teeth. I can imagine graphic design Mac owners salivating over the prospect, but it's not for me. What particularly irritates me is that vehicles do not naturally turn as sharply as a player character, so you have to reverse to backup. Incorporating vehicles into what should be a platformer (I suppose it still is) is another example of Rare mixing up game genres with dodgy results (the over-reliance of the FPS sections in Banjo Tooie was catastrophic). Really, though, this game is absolutely nothing to do with Banjo Kazooie. They could have called it Ratface and Biscuit and it wouldn't have made any difference. Oh wait, actually it would, as saps who loved the previous games would be tricked into buying it (a bit like Final Fantasy CC games). I'll probably cancel, but that depends how much I want the original BK game. Really, this is a huge disappointment for me. I've heard that people who never liked the previous two games are being drawn to this, but then that speaks for itself. It's managed to be so different that it's an entirely different crowd-puller. No doubt some die-hard BK fans will enjoy this, but deep down it seems blatantly obvious that they should have made another proper platformer. It's been 8 years and 2 generations, so they can't be accused of churning out the 'same game'.

    WTF EA

Simple answer is to not buy their games. :p I agree, so I stole it. And tbh complaining about the Spore DRM has pretty much had a great effect, if only because of the sheer number of people doing so. Anyone considering buying the game who first checks Amazon will probably think twice due to the rating people have given it.
  6. Fable 2 - £40. Headset - £10. Telling people online to drink a potion in a quest room that irreversibly turns them into a butch looking female, Priceless.
  7. The extra dungeon is much later on in a place called Bloodstone. You've got to dive near the dock in a bubble spot. I can't get the halo-related stuff because apparently it's bugged. I entered my limited edition code after opening the chest for A Hero's Tale stuff, and now the treasure chest stays open. I entered my code since then and the chest is still open. I found out that clearing your Xbox cache and re-downloading the DLC made the treasure chest close again, but unfortunately clicking the chest just tells me to go to Fable2.com again (can't do anything more there). Ah well, apparently a few people have had this problem and I CBA starting again to see if it's different.
  8. Wait for Chrono Trigger on DS, it'll be worth it.
  9. Ross isn't too good a chat show host, IMO. I can't really find any interesting qualities about him and the only real reason to watch his show is for the people on it (sometimes).
  10. Looking forward to this game a lot, now. I never understood the hype around Killzone, since the first game was actually rather poor. If the demo is out for it then perhaps it has undergone a big change.
  11. Yeah they have that offer at our GS, but unfortunately there wasn't much worth buying. If I'd have seen some of the rarer games I'd have bought and flogged them (although I reckon the staff are probably doing that already).
  12. Is it just me, or does he look like he's pissed himself in that picture?
  13. Watched the first episode, and what can I say- they should DEFINITELY subject real big brother housemates to this kinda of ordeal. It's far better than watching morons lounging around, that's for sure.
  14. If my Xbox got the RROD I certainly wouldn't want the same one back. :p
  15. So far I'm all good and pure, and have a halo above my head. Got a fair bit of property now and the cash is rolling in, which helps a bit.
  16. Amen, it makes no sense why people should be helped out with something related to learning if they are doing something sports-related.
  17. Have you checked that he's not injured?
  18. If he's done the first one then I'm certainly not the nub. Well, I would have to say that it seems clear that people become very easily obsessed with things that serve little purpose. No one really gets enjoyment from having a high number after the word 'Gamerscore' (this is more or less pride in the form of a 'medal') yet there are undoubtedly several people I have seen that have played less than stellar games to the fullest (those that would serve little purpose other than provide gamerpoints). While I don't argue the fact that many achievements that are skill-based or achieved during the playing of the overall story give a great deal of satisfaction, many of them are just pure grinds and the people that go for them are often doing it through completionist obsession.
  19. It is called having an opinion on someone's habits. If someone smeared shit on the walls would it be wrong to have the opinion that they were clearly not all there? I think there's nothing wrong with identifying the difference between some who genuinely do get enjoyment from performing skillful things, and other people who play easy achievement games or just spend time grinding money/gold to increase their points.
  20. I think it's lame to personally go for the achievements tbh. In fact, I have absolutely no respect for people when I see their score is over 30,000. Their game list often includes games like avatar or really obscure titles that were obviously milked for achievements.
  21. That isn't the case on stronger or scattered enemies, I find, and that won't work on bosses. When maxed, the slow time spell lasts for something like 15-20 seconds and is easily enough to even take down bosses with ease. Basically you can never get into trouble with this spell. Plus everyone loves slashing. :p
  22. Yeah, it isn't stealing- it's stupidity. As David Mitchell has previously said, people should leave themselves enough time to go to the supermarket before starving to death.

    Far Cry 2

He is right though - supported resolutions and native resolutions are very different, but some people fail to realise that.
  24. I'll probably not look so buff...upped my magic quite a lot, particularly the time time slowdown one (easily the best spell there is, since slowed down enemies can do nothing and every hit then lands). I love using ranged weapons too, especially since getting the pistol from getting 1st place on the target practice. Liking the game a lot so far - going for a good and pure character as that seems to fit best with me.
