It's easily the best weapon in the game, the red dragon. I wouldn't use anything else.

Been playing it all night...and done it all. There's nothing left to do now. :P Except some jigsaw puzzles but meh, maybe tomorrow. Got all the jiggies and notes once more, ending hasn't really changed to accommodate the new game. I noticed a considerable amount of slowdown, often in areas that had water. Apart from that it was a good port with some done-up visuals. Now, much needed sleep awaits.

Found my code in an e-mail recently sent to me, downloading that now but it's going very slowly. The download is only 48MB but it's still taking a while.

With many consoles having DVD upscalers and whatnot, I'd certainly say it's true that the jump for video from SD to HD isn't anywhere near as noticeable as it is with games. That's why DVDs will stick around for a long, long time.

Ok I uploaded my 'Dreamland' (username Meltigemini) level even though it isn't finished (still quite bad actually) - it takes so long to do this that I thought I may as well upload what I've done so far. Can everyone heart me and the level? I'll heart you all too in this topic. It's my first level btw so kinda crap still. urgent! If I make changes to my level then reupload it, I don't lose all these plays / hearts on that level, do (wondering if that's just uploading over the old level or not) I? It seems like when I add more to my level I have to upload it again. Interestingly I just got crowd pleaser when I turned on today after making it late last night, which is nice. :s

That is utterly fucking stupid - I hope your institution finds out and you are awarded zero. Seriously, how can you even consider cheating? Not just cheating, but getting someone to do the whole thing for you. Not only would you not deserve any marks, but likely you'd be exposed due to shoddy writing skills that these borderline-legal sites employ. Then your entire course might well be canceled as plagiarism is a serious offence.

I didn't find that funny, because it isn't funny. What the hell was funny about that? 4chan is just a site for the immature.

I've been making a level, will call it dreamland or similar when it's done. It takes so long to make these levels as there's always not quite something right and before you know it the time has flown by. Still, loving the create system in this game.

And now Amazon has limited the codes to the first 1,000 preorders (not sure if they have already reached that). Yeah, but that was the fun of it. Rusty Bucket Bay had a room with no floor and you could quite easily die, losing all notes you had up to then. Best best was to go there first.

They're sort of semi-down atm. I just joined Tapedeck's game and he was pointing at a 2X sign, then vanished and I was party leader. Also, we could get hearting each other. :p

I don't like piercings or tattoos on anyone really. A piercing in the nose always made me think of a cow or pig.

Tbh, it's only ridiculous because we don't know the explanation. It's obviously not gonna be 100% realistic so we can expect some reasoning that bends reality a little.

I have to say, it does sound utterly ridiculous that someone would want to be opening their Christmas presents on 9th November.

I must be the only one that doesn't really think Miis are that good. You can make a face look vaguely like your own...hmm. I understand that they are by no means forced but it seems like with some games the fact you can use them seems to be a 'big feature'. I wish Nintendo would focus on great game content rather than party-like trivial customisations.

Just wondering, why is being able to use your Mii face in-game considered to be a selling point or even good? Reeks of more pointless party-style add ons to series that were previously somewhat less casual.

They should really create a separate scoring system for rating retro arcade games, as obviously compared to today's standards they will all receive low scores for things such as graphics and sound.

The bad thing is that these companies think they must include things like voice acting these days or they musn't be making a new game, or one that ticks all the right boxes. I can't imagine S-E making new main series FF games without voice acting again.

Which is no biggie, except health, since guns and magic are much better than using melee weapons anyway.

Old replying to this, I know, but I have to say that in your post you pretty much dwelled on the aspects that I disliked the game for. Like you said, you applaud them for making the plot more political and believable, but that's exactly what fantasy isn't. Fantasy isn't supposed to be like some sort of political war that handles the story through military means and battle-summary narative. Final Fantasy has made its name by creating often different games but pertaining to the realm of fantasy (except, perhaps, FFT - part of the XII series anyway). I'm not saying that XII didn't have a story. I'm just saying it had a very watery story that, no matter how you look at it, was as thin as a paper bag that had been dipped in the sea and dried out. Going over old words here, but the character interaction was minimal, their development even weaker and the dungeons were sparcely broken up. But hey, there must be a reason why VI-IX are positively lapped up compared to X-XII. Maybe the story is cheesey to some, but most people found them endearing and come back to them again and again.
