You know the picture canadian/aussie cigarette packs have?
4q2 replied to Twozzok's topic in General Chit Chat
A lifetime of enjoying a good old English breakfast or sunday dinner is almost as risky as a lifetime of smoking....Not to mention risk of salmanella, possible CJD, etc etc etc. Imagine the supermarket shelves packed with Bacon and sausage with piccies of clogged arteries all over them. -

You are safe....I only skimmed the thread and idiotically thought you may be serious. :P It fascinates me how even someone unemployed could have a solid 60 a day habit....(even my ex's dad could only manage 40-odd and he was retired and sat on his arse playing freecell or telling everybody else how they should live their lives all day). -
Anybody ? (If so i seriously need to remind myself to call them)

I cant be arsed to read the whole thread, and have skimmed a few comments, but heres my take: The truth is there are a myriad of ways a smoker or non smoker can die. There is no ignorance in stating that. If every smoker dies of lung cancer, then fair play, but the whole thing is a lottery from the outset. Inconsiderate isnt an arguement to throw at a smoker either...More kids suffer from asthma these days more than likely due to the amount of vehicles clogging the roads and increased power/fuel usage. How many people are racing to sell their car and catch a bus, or install solar panels on their roofs ? The funniest thing about the pub smoking ban recently is every time I go out there are more people sat outside the pubs than inside, and the non smokers are happy to join them. I enjoy smoking, I dont need to put it into words why I do (nicotene vs brain chemistry), I enjoy true coffee also and dont have to justify that drug either. I'll go with Rokheds opinion though, I will stop when I am good and ready, not because the surgeon general likes to be a scare mongerer. -
Human Traffic was his finest moment.... Everything else I have watched with him in it he seems to be turning into a bad parody of himself in Sean Connery style manner.

If not Im getting the 360 version.

Halloween Wasnt expecting too much of this with it being a remake of a film I wasnt bothered about to start with. To get straight to the point I generally hate film remakes. I was glad I did watch it though because Rob Zombie has done a fine job of recrafting this one whilst making the story deeper and more brutal than I could have ever wished for. Sheri Moon is the usual quality eye candy too. If you enjoyed 1000 Corpses and Devils Rejects, I cant recommend this one enough. If you like classic horror, you are onto a winner with this one. 8/10

Dagon HP Lovecraft inspired story. Wierd and enjoyable at the same time and the plot was constantly rolling. Reminded me at times of Resident Evil 4. Better than I expected. 7/10

The in game soundtrack is nice, I admit.....I just like to have that perfect soundtrack and SG was always made with that custom music interactivity in mind, It would be a shame not to let Neon do its thang....(This choon works well....If only I could ID it: http://stage6.divx.com/user/j00ce/video/1021582/Space-Giraffe-Alpha-demo) Havent had too much chance to play it any further through over the w/e, but it will get some hammer over the coming weeks....I really need to get a wireless connector to get some scores out too cos I cant be bothered with keep connecting the thing to the nearest wired connection to get on live. Actually...heres a question. My Xbox Live membership renewed last month because I couldnt be arsed to cancel it. SG was the first thing that prompted me to put the 360 online and make a download. For various reasons, I cannot remember which phone number I registered with, which credit card I used and cannot dredge the account details from my old xbox. So had to sign up a trial account. Would calling Xbox live support help me out with migrating the account to the 360 ?

Good question....I think its just the old console supremacy thing playing out, possibly with the odd chance of 'lick this dev/manufacturers arse' in hope of possible freebies or exclusives from the manufacturer of their choice. (uneducated guess version) Either way, Im looking forward to playing both games at some point (after I am bored of Space Giraffe...Too many games, too little time !)
-
I have had it for 24 hours and Im loving it....worth every penny. My problem with it for the moment is trying to compile the perfect custom soundtrack for it (For now Eat Statics 'Implant' and 'Gulf Breeze seem to be the best ones I have found for the task). Classic Minter stuff though and well worth the wait.

I would, but it would be a pain in the arse to try to wrap it in a parcel and get it through the slot in the postbox. ....Not to mention the postage cost would be astronomical
-
Im betting it will be wiimote and nunchuck....Seems the most sensible route to adding multiplayer. It was a fantastic game imho, unfortunately it was not cheap when released as the full pack and a bit boring on the dc controller. A game that never really saw its proper sales potential
-
You played it with two controllers shaped like maracas.

This game needs a revival.....Wonder what it will do to the price of the DC set though (I paid an idiots sum for mine lol, but worth every penny)

I had a similar 'unscary scary' experience....The only thing to ever scare me in that game was one of the rocks in the tunnel which ended in me getting squished pretty damn sharpish !! Great game though and one I should consider replaying too at a point when I can be arsed.

Depends how crap they were at being stealthy. (And the narrowmindedness of that community). I live in an area that has a mining town mentality, but have seen one transexual (that I know of) walk straight through a bus station full of chavs, pensioners etc in broad daylight and not get one comment or a second glance. Its true that the whole transgender thing is probably the last taboo, but I dont understand the intolerance of the subject with some people. People are tattoed, pierced and implanted with surgical steel..... People have pec implants breast implants, breast reductions, nose jobs to make themselves more confident in life. What is the difference ? Is it the fact one may trick you into bed and make you question you own sexuality and limits ? It certainly is not about them using the NHS to get their treatment as most pay for it themselves. Why would anyone need to understand the situationto be ok with it... I dont understand why trainspotters do what they do but it certainly isnt a reason for me to hold any malice. (Saying that I dont understand why anyone follows football in a fanatical way either) There are worse things to worry about in this day and age than someone who has a complex with their born gender or body image.

Personally I would have rated Fight like a Brave/Knock Me down/Higher Ground above it.

Personally, Id say go with HTC all the way (Reason being there is quite a large knowledge base etc for it...If it pisses you off that it isnt included, someone has most likely addressed the problem in the home brew community). The part that is difficult is getting the 3G/Cost balance. E-Ten have a few reasonable cost devices, but lack 3G. Wm6 isnt a problem if you really require it as there are billion flavours of cooked ROM out there that are easy enough to find from trusted sources. For all the requirements you mention, try the Trinity which is a 'reasonable' £350. http://www.clove.co.uk/viewProduct.aspx?Product=DEABA48C-2E75-4288-B3D7-8F4B20CBE2BE&Category=591602F7-C32B-44D8-859D-F9230F032E7E If you are feeling flush, go for the XDA Flame (£700+ sim free) Let me look into whether 3 ever rebadged any HTC models and I will give you a better verdict later.
