  1. SNES all the way for me....Mario Kart was unbeatable as a multiplayer and a single player game. I have many more reasons I can add to the list, but I know personally that one game justifies my decision. I always thought the Snes was the hardware underdog, being it wasnt true 16bit (2x 8bit processors or summat....).
  2. 1x Atari joystick on Daley Thompsons Decathlon on the spectrum 2x Quickshot II on Yie ar kung fu on the C64, I managed to calm down after that with the Amiga by owning 1 joystick for the complete run of the system (possibly because I had a Quickshot II pro job that was microswitched an had a reinforced metal shaft). The last pad I 'broke' was the SNES pads right shoulder button on Street Fighter II turbo...
  3. Quality game. Yeah that is a nice line-up... and they get Gradius too (will Parodius follow ?) It may be Nintendo's way of making amends for not releasing Wii on home turf first, and an early indicator that Europe is still at the bottom of the list priority wise for releases....
  4. Nintendo should have seen the problem before releasing the Wii in the States. I think the thing to remember here is always use the wipes provided with super sized Macdonalds meals to remove excess grease from hands before using the Wii-mote or nunchuk.
  5. First thing that springs to mind seeing the screen shots is Manhunt for some reason... I have to admit, I am interested in this title....Just hoping it turns out as well as Killer7 did.
  6. Mediocre games or not....Ubisoft has bolstered up the number of Wii launch titles available, helped create much needed interest in the console and attempted to throw in a few ideas of how the Wii-mote could be used. At least we are seeing something better than the PS3 launch (and the Xbox 360's launch thinking about it...).
  7. Difficult. RE4: Great game, with the added bonus of the merchant geezer who cracks me up everytime I see him thank to that skit on You Tube. Eternal Darkness: A gem of a game...I still get massive rush of satisfaction casting those 7 point incantations... Rogue Squadron: Never got bored of it. Killer 7: Bizarre, mind-mashing and too good to forget. Wind Waker: Why not ? Again like some of the above, once I get the Wii, I will be keeping all my GC games.
  8. The orchestrated music vs synthesized thing is just general snobbishness.... Speaking with my sound engineering hat on, Imho the music is as good as the musician who plays / programs it and / or the engineer who polishes it. But each to their own I suppose.
  9. Gamestation seem to be certain they will fill pre-orders....walking past the shop I ordered mine from have stuck a A4 sized notice in the window saying a pre-order now will guarantee Wii at launch. I'm certain they will have 50+ spoken for by now. (They were up to 46 on the list a few weeks ago when I enquired on behalf of my g/f)
  10. I preordered from gamestation. I am number 3 on the list and have had no confirmation back yet....If I remember right, they didnt do it when i preordered the DS at launch either.
