  1. Bought and played Serious Sam 3 yesterday. It felt so good to play a mindless shmup for a change. I've mainly been playing Borderlands 2, which is good, but sometimes it takes a good few minutes to kill one enemy in that game, so SS3 feels great to just run backwards pumping shells into hordes of headless men with bombs for arms watching them all explode gratifyingly as you do so. Aaaaaah, an awesome game.
  2. I 'get' the moves like Jagger thing, as Mick has a really distinctive dance. Does Rihanna got a particularly obvious walk?
  3. I think he meant it in a good way, as in it was only a few months ago that Jay was talking about how he only had 3 pounds to last him the rest off the week. Now he has this awesome job, and rising fast. Awesome turnaround.
  4. Did she walk like Rihanna at any point?
  5. All these people getting their degree results is so pleasing. Makes me feel all happy....and.....old...

  7. Well I use a general term for beer because it literally all tastes the same to me. I couldn't tell the difference between a lager or a bitter, or a real ale or a IPA or a Weissbeer etc. Since i can't tell the difference, i don't feel the need to differentiate between them. And similarly, i don't understand why anyone would drink any of them, they are foul to me. I did read an article earlier this week that said they had discovered that finding coriander distasteful was genetic, i.e. some people think it tastes nice and citrus-ey, but some people literally think it tastes of soap and can't stand it. And this behaviour has nothing to do with what you were brought up with etc, it's stored in your genes. I wondered whether the same thing happened to me and beer/wine...

  9. I noticed that, it's not full of thing people don't understand (like why other people like wine, or not having push doors to toilets), but instead full of people just pointing out things that annoy them. Surely you can understand why other people might like TBBT, or why people wear fashion that every else is wearing.
  10. Does anyone know right what age goalkeepers retire? Is it later than outfield players? I don't know how much longer my aged 28 keeper is going to stick around and how long I have to train up a replacement.
  11. It's those cold, dead eyes. I remember there used to be loads of jokes about Tom Nook and how he was a complete bastard whose job as a landlord was a front for more underhand dealings. It turns out that Nook wasn't the one we had to be wary of...
  12. All you're saying here is that you are lucky enough to live near the end of the Yodel guy's delivery route. I asked my delivery driver if he could deliver nearer the end of the day (since it said on one of the slips that they delivered between 7.30am and 9pm), and he said that he probably would only be passing my house at 12-ish and there was nothing he could do. They just seem really inflexible and unhelpful. Having said that, when i did get one of my packages from them (on Saturday at around 12-ish) the guy seemed really nice and friendly. I would just prefer Royal Mail or someone who has a Plan B if you aren't in.
  13. I spotted the Gaeta, but where was Tahmoh in it?
  14. I was going to put wolf pictures on the original post, but then I googled it and found out that nightwolf is a dude from Mortal Kombat (?). I thought I would be ridiculed for thinking nightwolf was named after an actual wolf...
  15. Happy Birthday to Nightwolf! (At least i hope it is your birthday, there has been some confusion....) Hope you have a great day!
  16. That's sad to hear Gaggle, but telling someone about it so soon is a very good sign i think, means you can get help quickly. Anxiety is such a horrible thing, and i can't imagine how bad it must be to have on a daily basis. On a personal note, I have to give an hour-long seminar to my entire department this afternoon on my PhD topic. I can only hope no-one turns up because it's almost the end of term....my talk is going to be a long, rambley mess with no coherence and no conclusion. Whoopee!
  17. Considering they only just stopped making games for the PS2, i think it'll be a while before they stop releasing games on the PS3.
  18. I remember a hilarious night of gaming when playing at a friends house on WWF (can't remember which version). We made four huuuuuuge sumo wrestlers in the create-a-wrestler mode, and then fought in a free-for-all. Watching these huge heffalumps waddle around and then fall over each other just made us all 'lol' and 'rofl' all night long.

Yeah it's weird that they are airing this season over the summer. Will be weird because for the past 4 or 5 years i've watched them leading up to Xmas and then saved all the episodes on a USB stick to give to my sister over the Xmas break. I wonder why they changed....
  20. I was going to start one, but thought it would be too early... Anyway, i've double checked, and every team plays every other team. Twice. So in that respect it's going to be a good season, and very similar to last.
  21. I saw this last night. It was pretty good. I enjoyed the action scenes and didn't think they went on for too long, and thought Cavill played a good Superman. I wouldn't say it was the best film of the year though, i don't really understand the gushing over it. I also thought it was still a bit too campy to pull off the completely serious film. They needed a few more lighter bits in it, i think.
  22. This doesn't look half bad, i'm surprised it took them so long.
