I hate it. But there are no other alternatives, and i'm not using a browser on my phone because it's not 2007.

I think it's just a person in a helmet. Not every background character has to be a cameo, or a nod, or a reference. Sometimes they're just new characters, or extras.

Can anyone explain Japan?

ODST is great. Better than 1 and 2 for sure. Definitely better than 4.

My first console was an N64, so that's my limit in terms of what games I can actually get my hands on and play, but even if I did have access to anything older, I really struggle to play 2D side scrollers or top down games in only 2 dimensions. There are exceptions obviously, but there's something about the format that I find difficult. Generally speaking though, I just don't play retro games. The thought of going into the loft, dragging down any of my old consoles and working out how to get it to display on my TV, and then actually playing any of the old games from the beginning, fills me with apathy. Don't tell my wife though, she'll make me get rid of them.

I know it felt like there were 304 months in 2021, but it's going to be very hard to celebrate your wedding anniversary.

I've never been that interested in the battling tbh. I like the idea of a free roam Pokémon exploration game.

Bit of a gap between the Silk Road and circumnavigating the entire world... They couldn't think of any other distances?

The reviews for this are looking really good. I'm definitely tempted...

What's the greatest injustice in all of Pokémon history?

Are you going to be playing the side games like ODST and Reach?

I remembered that during the pandemic, Sony gave away the Uncharted trilogy free, and so I decided to give it a try, as it is a series that I always wanted to play, but never had the opportunity, as I never had a PS3. I was looking to play a blockbuster, adventure game; with a load set pieces, humour and fun. Unfortunately....the first game, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune falls a bit short. I'd seen footage and reviews of the last couple of games, and i hadn't realised that the first one starts off a bit shakey. It's not terrible, but the shooting sections are very samey and repetitive; the puzzles are very easy; and the plot is very cliched. However, the sharp turn that the plot takes about 80% of the way through, was a bizarre surprise. Also, the game is pretty bare bones. It seems to be one of those old-fashioned games where the replay value is simply to play the whole game again, but at a harder difficulty, or faster. I don't really mind this, because i'm just playing through them for the story and experience (and they're free anyway), but i think the game shows it's age a bit here. ________________________________________ I have also been playing Paper Mario: Origami King in short bursts. I've done the first streamer, and am heading to the next. i hadn't realised just how much this game is aimed at kids. I know Nintendo games obviously are more child friendly, but the amount of hand-holding and annoying tips are frustrating. Also, I realised how annoying the 'wave battles' were going to be very early on when it started the second one, and I thought 'oh, no, another one?'. Not a good sign... The rest of the game is fun and trying to find all the toads etc is pretty engaging. Hopefully the battle side picks up because this game wasn't free...

Watched The Eternals last night. It was ok. As a standalone film, it had its issues: Anyway, rambling thoughts aside, I can see why it didn't review well.

Ok, just watched episode 5, and cool shit started happening again, so all is forgiven. -

Started watching Attack on Titan S4. Remembered all the issues I have with the show in general. All of the people look the same - I cannot work out what it going on, or who is who. Why do they all have the exact same face? Once all the titans start fighting each other, the animation is incredible, but I think they're trying to save money or something by having all the characters wear the same thing and all look the same. Also, at the beginning of one of the episodes, they cheaped out and didn't bother to animate some Titans attacking the group of protagonists, instead just showing a weird slideshow of the main dude looking scared, then describing what happened afterwards. I was really confused. Also, they keep skipping backwards and forwards in time, with no mention of when they're doing it. Add in constant flashbacks all the time, and it's just so confusing. -
I gave up when it asked me that. Switched to Edge and it just sent me a 2FA text instead.

Firstly, I tried to login to my Playstation account using Chrome, and it made me do some bullshit mouse and cheese puzzle to prove i was human. Only it broke, and it kept making me do them. First it asked for me to do 5 puzzles, but once i'd done 5, it jumped to do 20 of them?! Anyway, bathe in my glory: Interesting that they don't even update the word 'games' to be singular. Lame.

I'm presuming the third site is porn. Pokémon themed.

Often when playing a game, i'll wonder how far I am through it. Not just if the game is crap, or dragging the plot, but also if it is great, i'll be curious how far through I am. Obviously Googling how far you are is a bit of a minefield, as you can easily spoil yourself if you're not careful. So you are left trying to work it out based on the number of collectables, trophies, etc. I recently started up Uncharted (the first one), and it tells you how far you are through the story as a percentage every time you save, which I really like. I believe some people however, would prefer not to know - they would rather stay in the dark right up until the final credits. It's weird though, because in other forms of media, you usually know exactly how much longer you have to go. Books for example, it's very hard to hide how much further you have left, and I think that it tends to add to the excitement (or disappointment) as you near the end of a book and feel the pages dwindling. With films, it's usually as easy as pausing it, or checking the clock, but that usually only really happens when you aren't enjoying the film, and want it to end quickly. Anyway, do you prefer to know exactly how far you are into a game? Or would you prefer for it to remain a mystery?

That actually looks really good - much more Nolan than Snyder. We watched Encanto once it made it onto Disney +. It was ok. It starts off a bit confusingly as they have to try and introduce a zillion characters all with special powers, but once it gets going in the middle, it's pretty good. There are a couple of really catchy songs in it (Surface Pressure being the best imo), but then it kind of just fizzles out at the end. 5/10 Also watched The Suicide Squad. I feel like all this had to do was be better than the previous one, and that seems like all it tried to do. I quite enjoyed it - it definitely had a better tone than the other one - if you are going to focus on the really wacky, crazy DC characters, you have to do it in a wacky, crazy way. 7/10

Finished it last night. Would not recommend. Should have been a 2 hour film rather than a 6 hour series. Even then, it would have dragged.
