I think if you tap the Options button right after the share button, the HUD disappears briefly. Also, if you just hold the scanner button down as you wander around, animals in the vicinity will pop up as red dots, so keep an eye out.

Had a great "sesh" on this last night. Meant to play for 20mins before bed, and ended up playing for an hour and a half. Spent a while gathering resources to make 5 fuel cells and fully fuel my hyperdrive, then spent a while 100%ing the two planets in my current galaxy. There was a single animal that evaded me both times, but I love wandering around searching for it, it's like being on safari! Going to hyperdrive to a few new planets next, I think.

My cleaner also cleans the EA head office, and she's skeptical about the whole thing.

Urgh, one of the Guinea Pigs developed diarrhoea over the weekend, so after a pricey trip to the emergency vet, we spent the whole of our bank holiday Monday feeding him food paste with a syringe. Even had to get up at 3am to do a feed, it's like having a baby. Little bugger is so cute though...
