  1. I was going to just turn the subtitles off but sometimes Miles talks to his mum in Spanish so I don't want to miss what they're saying.
  2. I actually don't use the web wings all that much, if I wanted to play a character who could fly then I wouldn't be playing a Spider-Man game. Much prefer just swinging around. As for the game itself I'm enjoying it so far, story seems interesting and is hitting all the right notes. Taking me a while to get back into the feel of the combat, mostly remembering to actually use gadgets etc but I think that was the same in the original games for me as well. Has anyone else noticed an issue with the subtitles not syncing up with the dialogue though? They keep appearing way too early for me, sometimes a couple of sentences too early, it's weird.
  3. I think it's worth starting at the beginning and playing all 3. The (very good) storyling continues throughout all the games and you could start with the cheaper game now then when you get to 2 you might get a better price.
  4. wow, that's a hell of a call back. Apparently not as I still don't like cards in video games. I don't have a Switch anymore though so wouldn't be able to play it regardless.
  5. Ok I buckled and preordered as well. Still have a hard time paying £70 for a new game but at least if I use Paypals buy over 3 months then I can trick myself into believing it was cheaper!
  6. I enjoyed the series overall, probably enjoyed the first few eps more than the rest of you but I feel like I was coming from a different position where I only had a small amount of knowledge of Clone Wars and Rebels so it was a nice catchup. The finale was good and about what I expected. I'm reading the New Republic Legends Omnibus at the moment for my Star Wars fix but after that I might have to move back to some current canon books. I never did finish the first Thrawn trilogy.
  7. It's underpowered for new stuff like Baldur's Gate and Starfield but still a very capable little machine. I've seen people play the Spider-Man games on it no problem for example. Emulation works brilliantly on it, I'd say up to PS2/Gamecube for almost flawless, Wii U level can work fine and some people have gotten Switch running ok. If you search for guides on installing EmuDeck on the Steam Deck that will explain how to get it all done. EmuDeck is excellent as it just manages everything for you, downloads all the emulators you need, installs them and configures their settings to work best on the Deck. No need to switch OS, all you'd have to do to start would be to download it on the Deck's Desktop mode which is an option when you power the device off.
  8. It's typical of me you know, I'm really liking the Ally, I've got both Baldur's Gate 3 and Starfield running well and ready to play and yet I've spent most of my time on Vampire Survivors and Phoenix Wright
  9. Decided it was time to upgrade from my Steam Deck. It's a very good handheld but I've got to be honest it's underpowered in comparison to other devices out there now and I'm not a massive fan of Linux still. Getting a Windows handheld made more sense for me, plus being able to use Game Pass for it is a massive advantage so I got myself an Asus ROG Ally and I've just finished upgrading the ssd to a 1tb. Really liking it so far. Lighter than my Deck and a much nicer screen at 1080p, 120hz. Looking forward to trying out Baldur's Gate 3 and Starfield on it.
  10. How long would you say it took you to complete?
  11. I did manage to get to the checkout very quickly but ended up not finishing the purchase. Just didn't want to pay the $60 shipping and then get hit later with import fees.
  12. Yep I get the same error on iPhone
  13. I'm kind of tempted to try and snag one as I don't have the system yet.
  14. The money has finally become available to make my job permanent instead of just a rolling contract. Had to reapply and interview again but thankfully they've stuck with me. I really do hate interviews though. I don't think I've ever had one, even when I've been offered the job afterwards, where I didn't come out of it feeling worse about myself in some way!
  15. I actually found this episode way too easy and convenient.
  16. I’m about 10 hours in so far and really enjoying it. I was kind of expecting a much more grounded FF game but it sure can get epic at times. Starting to give me Witcher vibes at the moment now that the side quests are starting to feel a bit more important to the world building with the branded.
  17. Looks like it's 8 episodes
  18. Ok despite saying I needed to get back into Baldur's Gate 3 I couldn't help getting FFXVI when I saw it was this week's deal of the week on PSN. That discount along with a cheaper PSN card from ShopTo meant it was finally a reasonable price.
  19. I need to get back to the game. Bought it at launch but keep getting distracted by movies or reading. Doesn't help that my desktop is at the same desk I work at during the day so I don't tend to go back to it.
  20. Apparently he’s had heart issues but was getting better then got Covid which put a strain on everything then he finally had a heart attack this week.
  21. I've shifted my movie collection to the iTunes store lately after getting sick of not being able to find movies on streaming and space issues with blu-rays. Overnight they discounted a load of Jackie Chan movies so of course I had to get them all, some being double dips. Also grabbed Riki-oh as I hear that's nuts. Only thing that's a shame at the moment is that they don't have the Eureka releases so things like Police Story I have to stick with my blu-rays for now.
  22. Terry Funk died
  23. Just watched the first 2 episodes of Ahsoka. I enjoyed them, looks like it should be a good series. I was never a fan of any of the Star Wars animated shows but I’ve watched recaps before to keep up to speed. Crazy how much Rebels this is.
